The sanction game coming to an end

The Americans are still playing the sanction game to threaten and weaken the economies of enemy countries. When sanction is applied to a few countries, it works quite well. When sanction is applied to many countries, sanctioning a country like China or Russia is like sanctioning tens of countries because of their size, it would become the world sanctioning the Americans, when the Americans could only trade with themselves and the Anglo Saxon countries and a few European countries. The 'sanctioner' becomes the sanctioned.

When this stage is reached, not only the American economy will be hurt, the Anglo Saxon and pro American European countries would also be hurt badly. Imagine these countries could only trade among themselves while the rest of the world trade among themselves without them?

The effectiveness of sanction depends on two key factors, a big American consumption market and the American dollar being accepted as a currency. The rest of the world are selling to the Americans, working very hard, to produce goods for the Americans in exchange for that piece of fiat currency, the American dollar.

What if the world rejects the American dollar and refuses to accept it to pay for their goods? When this happens, the Americans would have no money to buy from the rest of the world. Their huge appetite for produced goods would go hungry and Wallmart and all the supermarts would be empty. And when the world did not or would not want to sell to the Americans, the sanction game is game over. No country would care a hoot whether they are being sanctioned or not when they are not selling into the American market.

Not only the sanction game would be over, meaningless, toothless, it would also be game over for the American economy and the American Empire. Every good thing when pushed to the extreme would turn negative. Weaponising of dollars, trade, SWIFT, etc would bring about their demise when alternatives are found. Weaponising the American market using sanctions too would be self destruct when it is no longer the biggest market or market of choice.

Why would the rest of the world work so hard to make goods to exchange for a piece of useless dollar so that the Americans can enjoy the fruits of labour of the world, without having to work for it? The Americans did not know how good the system has been for them for so long and are now inciting the world to tear it down. Well done America.

Look at the BRI chess board. in the previous article. When the world map turns red except for the Anglo Saxon and a few semi colonies and lackeys, the red countries would be trading among themselves without the need to trade with the Anglo Saxon countries and their semi colonies. That is happening gradually and the picture will be complete soon with another handful of countries in Latin America and Africa joining the fold.

Which country has been threatening invasion, war, conducting regime change, sanctioning countries for all kinds of fictitious offence?

Which country is the biggest bully in the world?

Which country has the biggest military budget in the world, have the most offensive war machine, aircraft carriers, nuclear bombs etc etc?

Which country has been conducting endless wars and bombing countries all over the world?

Vivian admitted that safeguarding one’s sovereignty and national interest often requires some sacrifice and pain, as could be seen with the current Ukrainian crisis, where Ukrainians are paying the ultimate price for their freedom.

“Singaporeans too must understand that standing up for our national interest may come with some cost. We must be prepared to deal with the consequences, to bear the pain, to help one another and to stand up together,” he said.

To help one a other by paying you ministers to become multi-millionaires and therefore, can afford to prepare for yourselves safe havens in foreign land, while we the commoners have to die for you? Fat hope!

Who will face the consequences and bear the pain? It's the commoners. Not you, Millionaires.

There are so many other tiny countries in the world. Only the tiny country of Singapore impose sanctions on the biggest land-area country in the world. Principle my foot! Kena arm-bent by the US until cry daddy just say so, and we can still empathize . . .

The happiest people now must be the American military industrial complex. Arms for Ukraine in billions. Full production to meet the demands.

Another point to note, the Russians are avoiding shooting at the volunteers Ukrainian soldiers. They are only attacking military targets, avoiding civilian housing.

What the western media are trying to show, only civilians in arms. The actual fighting hardly shown. The Russian tanks are all over Ukraine, but not shooting. No heavy assault as yet except military bases and airports. The streets are quiet and safe.

You go and poke your itchy nose into other countries affairs and later when repercussions come to Singapore, who will be so stupid to stand up for you?

Ukraine has deliberately benn creating security and safety problems for Russia for the last 7 years. Why PM Lee only picked and choose what to say without considering the background?

Conflicts between nations do not arise all of a sudden, and do not arise in vacuum.

The way PM Lee talks about the Ukraine crisis, shows that he must either be sleeping or he must have been told what to say by his CIA Handler???

Singapore has been dragged into the fray by the warmongering Americans. Too weak to say no.

There is a price for getting involved.

Looks like the Foreign Ministry and PMO have been infiltrated by CIA agents and operatives.

Perhaps, some of the top people are in the payroll of the CIA?

If so, it is the end of Singapore as an independent state. It has become a vassal of the Evil US Empire.

Not only that, they are now talking about forcing Facebook (now Meta), Twitter and Youtube to close down the accounts of 'Ghost Writers' undermining their official fake narratives with the truth.

Now, what about the 'Ghost Writers' that produced all the fake and fabricated documents and narratives to invade Iraq? These are still at work generating all the fake and fabricated narratives against Russia and China in particular.

Bloomberg, New York Times, BBC, The Sun etc are still being fed fake narratives written by 'Ghost Writers' and circulated to them for publication. Why does the USA need to spend US$300 million a year and what is the purpose of doing that? On top of what is known, other European countries are also funding such unsavory activities. They do what they do not allow others to do, but thank goodness there are other platforms for voicing the truth.

By the way, talking about following 'Principles', what has Singapore done about the Illegal invasion of Iraq, based on fake and fabricated evidence, if they really stand up for 'Principles' or just selective 'Principles'?

If you follow Channel News America and other MSM across the West, it sounds like Ukraine has won the war, the Ukraine civilians have single handedly stopped the Russian invasion, Russia has been crippled by the sanctions and is about to collapse, escalating oil prices has not affected people in USA and Europe. And all is rosy and well.

Believe it or not is up to you!

The irony of the situation is that the USA and the West keep sending weapons to Ukraine and keep prodding them and hyping up the fake success of the Ukrainian army and civilians, saying they are doing a great job.

But why then keep throwing in the doubt by asking 'how long can the Ukraine military keep up the battle'. Contradictory isn't it?

Of course one can understand the benefits for the Military Complex in the USA. With little by way of wars over the years, this is a windfall. Make hay while the sun shines, they shouted.

Now which side is getting bogged down if the war drags on is academic. Russia is next door and can move supplies and equipment just across the border. Convenient and efficient. They can prolong the war as long as needed, and eventually demoralising the enemy. Hitler suffered during his invasion of Russia, when the Russian just dig in and, after all it was their home ground then. How long can the USA last, looking at Afghanistan for example or Vietnam for a better perspective? Home ground advantage is always there.

Singapore, being a member of ASEAN, should abide by ASEAN's openly declared Zone of Peace and NEUTRALITY.

Furthermore, Singapore should also uphold the Principle of Non-Interference in another country's internal affairs.

Why talk about Principles when you can't even uphold your own Principles?

You are shooting your own feet.

Brilliant isn't it? Just when SIA thought they saw the light in the recovery, now fuel cost is going eat into the bottomline bc of longer flight path.

And just when they thought they had added advantage bc Russia ban EUROPEAN airlines into their airspace, our smart ministers have to add them into the banned list.
Who says our ministers don't deserve their millioms?

If what I read is true, Europe buying USA gas is five times more expensive than Russian gas. That is the reason why the USA wants to sell it's gas to Europe and needs to get rid of NORD stream 2. Well, they have to see how it turns out in the long run.

Let us see what the Germans and other European citizens will say when their energy bills go through the roof, how much more expensive their manufactured products will cost and how are they to compete against others. But never mind, officially as always, the benefits outweigh the risk. Hope they are not kidding themselves and find out too late. Russia already planned what to do with their extra gas. Europe is just doing an experiment.

Things are getting more ridiculous and they are stirring the shit more vigorously to release more stinking smell. Now talking about sanctioning the Russians from participating in sporting events. Are they serious? They already suspended Russia from the Olympics and now adding sanctions to the sanctioned hoping to do more harm. Are they weaponising sports as well?

Desperate people have to resort to desperate means to keep up their desperate agendas. It is going to fail big time. I have never seen the USA and the West so desperate before. But Russia is ready, nuclear missiles and all on standby should the USA do the unthinkable. There is no such luxury for the USA mainland to be isolated, like during the previous two world wars.

Singapore to impose sanctions on Russia, including export controls and certain bank transactions: Vivian Balakrishnan

In a ministerial statement, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan said that in its conduct of foreign policy, Singapore upholds principles instead of choosing sides.

(Sounds so hypocritical. What about your Principles of Neutrality and Non-Interference? You forgot to uphold these Principles? Instead, you are obviously siding with the Americans)

Singapore will impose sanctions on Russia "in concert with other like-minded countries", said Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan on Monday (Feb 28), citing “the unprecedented gravity" of the Russian invasion in Ukraine.

The measures will include imposing export controls on items that can be used directly as weapons in Ukraine, and blocking certain Russian bank and financial transactions connected to Russia.

"Instead of choosing sides, we uphold principles. Consequently, when we conduct our foreign policy in a coherent and consistent manner, we also become reliable partners for those who operate the same principles.

"However, there will be occasions when we have to stake a stand, even if it is contrary to one or more powers, on the basis of principles, as we are doing now."

Dr Balakrishnan said Singapore has “rarely acted” to impose sanctions on other countries, in the absence of binding United Nations Security Council decisions or directions.

“In particular, we will impose export controls on items that can be used directly as weapons in Ukraine to inflict harm or to subjugate the Ukrainians.

“We will also block certain Russian banks and financial transactions connected to Russia,” he said, adding that specific measures will be announced shortly.

He added that Singapore must expect the measures to “come at some cost and implications” for businesses, citizens and to the country.

“However, unless we, as a country, stand up for principles that are the very foundation for the independence and sovereignty of smaller nations, our own right to exist and prosper as a nation may similarly be called into question.” (You got principles?)

He noted that Singapore values its “good relations” with Russia and its people, but such “violations of sovereignty and territorial integrity of another sovereign state” cannot be accepted. (Double talk - fork tongue)

He added that Singapore will continue working with international partners (meaning USA and Whitemen) to “take a strong stance against the invasion of Ukraine”, end further violence and de-escalate tensions.

In addition, he said small countries must avoid becoming “sacrificial pawns, vassal states or cat's paws to be used by one side against the other”. (Talk cock like sing song)

But when situations arise, Singapore’s assessments and actions are based on “clearly enunciated and consistently-held principles that are in our own long term national interests”. (BS)

Finally, safeguarding sovereignty and national interest often requires some sacrifice, just as the Ukrainians are paying “the ultimate price for freedom with their lives and livelihoods”, said Dr Balakrishnan. You must sacrifice first.

“The rest of the international community (USA and EU only) that is taking a stand against naked aggression through sanctions will also have to bear some pain and pay a price.

“Singaporeans too must understand that standing up for our national interests may come with some costs. We must be prepared to deal with the consequences to bear the pain to help one another and to stand up together.” (Deduct Ministers' pay by 80%!)

Rings HOLLOW! HYPOCRISY AT THE HIGHEST!

Standing for for our national interests does no mean we should be dragged into OPEN CONFRONTATION with Russia, the biggest country in the world.

Russia is fighting for her long-term strategic security and national survival in view of the continuous, relentless and aggressive EXPANSION of NATO, encroaching into the sovereignty and integrity of Russian territories by deploying weapons of mass destruction along Russia's borders.

What if Malaysia or Indonesia were to deploy offensive weapons in Johore or Batam and Bintan? Would Singapore just let it be?

Anonymous said...

Wait for Russia to retaliate. See who gets the last laugh.

Russia will teach you a good lesson that you will never forget.

Russia will gang up with Malaysia to take back Singapore for Singapore has become an American vassal state, without an iota of doubt.

Malaysia's security is being threatened by Singapore not staying neutral.

'Not choosing sides' means abstaining from voting at the UN, like India and Saudi Arabia, and not sanctioning one side by following the other. Perhaps I have not kept up with the English Language.

This is so hypocritical. Even the word 'hypocritical' has lost it's meaning I think.

There are people who worship Satan and cannot see anything wrong with Satan. Let them be.

Look at the BRI map and you could clearly see all the Muslim and Arab countries and the African countries have their eyes opened and have deserted the Satan camp. After centuries of exploitation and killings by Satan, they now see China as the new hope to live in peace and to progress and prosper together.

Build bridges, build infrastructure for the good of their people and humankind, not fighting wars after wars, demonishing, fabricating lies and inciting for wars everyday.

The people of Ukraine could be living peacefully today, but got dragged down by the devil and now in a state of war, country being destroyed, people being killed. Those Satan worshipers would have themselves to be blamed if they got dragged into wars and self destruction by the devils.

They have free choice to join the bright side, of peace and prosperity, or the dark side, of war and destruction.

Satan worshipers regard Satan as their God. Whatever evil things that Satan did would be ignored or even believed to be good, like all the war crimes in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Somalia etc etc.

How many hundreds of thousands of Arabs and Muslims died or wounded and forced to leave their countries and homes? How many children, mothers, oldies have died because of Satan invading their countries?

Satan worshipers would not condemn any evil deeds of Satan or chose to look the other way, and strut around with a fake halo on their heads.

The virus will devour them to bits.

Sanctions on Russia Will Backfire

Beijing predicts Russia can weather the sanctions it’s been hit with in recent days, and that the U.S. and European allies will wind up suffering for supporting Ukraine.

Russia has largely adapted to dealing with punitive financial measures since 2014, when it was penalized for reuniting with Crimea.

Cutting off Russian banks from the SWIFT money messaging system will wind up hurting Europe roughly as much. The U.S. could also incur major costs in the future providing economic and humanitarian aid to allies, and that Europe could be destabilized by large numbers of fleeing Ukrainians. The fierce debate on refugee problems inside Europe could damage its unity at crucial moments.

China could provide some support for Russia to keep the punishments from biting too hard. Chinese companies are expected to scoop up discounted Russian oil if sanctions deter other buyers.

It could also provide a financial lifeline because the People’s Bank of China has a multi-billion dollar currency swap with its counterpart in Moscow, allowing the nations to provide liquidity to businesses so they can continue trading.

Russia has also worked to remove the dollar’s hold over its financial system in recent years -- selling most of its U.S. Treasuries in 2018 -- as it girded for potential sanctions.

India's Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar has lambasted journalists from the Western media for their biased views towards people from places other than Europe and the US.

Quoting a series of tweets in which Western journalists used racial language while reporting from Ukraine, Chandrasekhar said, "This thread about why some in Western media have seriously disturbing double standards."

In a video clip, a BBC anchor can be heard saying he respects the "emotion" when Ukraine's Deputy Chief Prosecutor David Sakvarelidze explained that the conflict with Russia and Ukraine is very emotional for him because he sees "European people with blue eyes and blonde hair being killed."

A senior correspondent for CBS News stated that Kiev "isn't a place, with all due respect, like Iraq or Afghanistan, that has seen conflict raging for decades. This is a relatively civilised, relatively European…city, where you wouldn't expect that or hope that it's going to happen."

On BFM TV of France, an anchor said that European cities are facing cruise missile fire as though "we were in Iraq or Afghanistan, can you imagine!?"

A British ITV journalist considers the crisis "unthinkable" as Ukraine is not a "developing, third-world nation; this is Europe!"

Not only did the TV news anchors or correspondents make such colourist, racial remarks, but print journalists also wrote similar articles.

Daniel John Hannan, a British writer journalist, reckoned that Russia's military action in Ukraine is an "attack on civilisation" as they [Ukrainian] "seem so like us" and have Instagram and Netflix accounts.

"War is no longer something visited upon impoverished and remote population," Hannan, a former politician serving as an adviser to the UK Board of Trade since 2020, wrote in The Telegraph.

The "implicit racial bias of some of the Ukraine coverage" has not gone down well with the Arab and Middle Eastern Journalists Association.

The association condemned and categorically rejected "orientalist and racist implications" towards the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

"This type of commentary reflects the pervasive mentality in Western journalism of normalising tragedy in parts of the world such as the Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and Latin America. It dehumanises and renders their experience with war as somehow normal and expected," it said in a statement.

The Sanctions end or not do not matter much to Russia. It has sufficient to sustain survival quite well. Huge landmass and low population with strong friendships from China and lndia, two other huge countries and also from some Asean Members.

Now big and disastrous event for Ukraine cause by Zelensky. If he does not surrender, tens and hundreds of thousand Ukrainians shall perish, especially if Ukrainian Civilians arm themselves to fight the Russian Military.
The Russian Military has being restrain so far. It can do much devastation without even be physically in Ukraine, Russia has plenty of weapons of mass destruction.

If Zelensky surrenders or gets toppled by his own people who will mend relationship with Russia, the Ukrainians can return to their normal living of plenty.

Anyway it goes, the War shall be over in a few months. It is a question how the Ukranian People want it to end. The Ukrainian does have a choice.

Asians that think the Whites will treat them as equals must be dreaming. The Whites always have the mentality that they should rule the world, and that the whole world must remain subservient to them.

China's rise change the whole landscape and the Whites are afraid of loosing their superiority status and be overtaken by an Asian country, by a people different from them in skin colour and always thought of as backward. This is not acceptable.

Nowhere is the lesson more apparent than in South Africa, where the Whites are now the race no longer in control of the Blacks and being paid back in their old coins. This has apparently not been ignored by the Whites elsewhere and they are paranoid. They took the lands of the Native Americans and the Aborigines and culled the Native population through genocide to curb their ability for revenge.

India and China were fortunate not to be annihilated into near extinction like the Natives of North America and Australia. Their experience during the days of colonisation in the case of India, and the humiliation of China at the hands of the Whites and Japanese must never ever be forgotten.

The Whites are still attempting to exert domination and China and India need to be ready and able to deter those attempts. Asia is their next target after the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Africa and South America still do not pose any threat to them, but their turn will come.

The Japanese too are extremely treacherous with the intention to rule Asia.

They can even go to the extent of sleeping with their foremost enemy, the evil Americans, and carry their balls to join force to attack China in the East and South China Sea.
