Xi Jinping the master weiqi/go player

On the surface Xi Jinping looks weak and the Americans think he is weak. That is why you have silly countries like Australia, Canada, Lithuania and some silly EU MPs and American politicians visiting Taiwan. But all kena sanctions immediately.

Xi is quietly playing his game of weiqi or Go. He is placing his pieces all over the board and strangling the Americans and the West. They felt the squeeze and the pain and can only try to hit back albeit superficially, good for the media but no real impact.

South China Sea is fully under the control of China and fully militarised. China is building a third island chain on the eastern front of Australia to lock it down instead of China being locked down by the two island chains, both no longer meaningful.

China has built and leased many strategic ports all over the world. A new military base is coming up in western Africa. A new canal in Nicaragua would be cut soon, and so will be the Isthmus of Kra.

Africa is now with China. The Arab countries are with China. Asean is tilting towards China. Central Asia and Eastern Europe are with China. Latin America and the Carribean are with China. The western Pacific Islands are with China.

The Americans only have the Anglo Saxon countries on its sides and a few outlier countries plus a few EU countries.

Xi is practising a new guerilla warfare, the countryside surrounding the cities. The two main western dominant areas are North America and Europe. The rest of the world are now with China, surrounding these two areas, like the game of Go.

In terms of military hardware, China is mass producing the J20s and rolling out bigger and bigger warships by the day. 003 aircraft carrier would be rolled out within months and 004 has started work. Probably 2 similar 004 aircraft carriers would be built simultaneously.

No need to talk loudly and making a lot of useless noises. Just do it, use the money wisely instead of useless wars and propaganda and useless freedom of navigation sailing aimlessly in the South China Sea. Every move that Xi made, and every cent he spent, meant business strategically. Nothing go to waste. This is the difference between a strategic thinker and a talkative lawyer politician, talk, talk, talk, sounds good for a moment but achieves practically nothing but hot air.

The Indians are nervous. They are very worried about what lays in store for them after the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics ends in February.

President Xi Jinping had said that China is committed to peace but cannot give up “even one inch” of territory that the country’s ancestors left behind.

China’s national legislature – the National People’s Congress (NPC) – on October 23 adopted a new law on the protection and exploitation of the land border areas. China’s new land border law comes into effect yesterday on January 1, amid a protracted military standoff with India along their disputed boundary in eastern Ladakh.

China claims over the whole of so-called "Arunachal Pradesh" - a 83,743 square kilometres area that Beijing considers a part of Southern Tibet - which India unilaterally declared a state just 34 years ago on 20 February 1987.

Just two days before yearend, China’s Ministry of Civil Affairs announced that it has granted “standardized” names for 15 locations in "Arunachal Pradesh", which will be featured on official Chinese maps from now on.

China's claim over "Arunachal Pradesh" dates back to the Shimla Convention of 1914 which led to an agreement regarding the border between British India and Tibet, just 2 years after the Qing dynasty was overthrown in 1912. China was represented at the Simla Convention by a plenipotentiary of the Republic of China. who did not consent to the Simla Convention, saying Tibet had no independent authority to enter into international agreements.

The People’s Republic of China disputes the legal status of the McMahon Line, the boundary between Tibet and British India that was drawn at the Simla Convention. The McMohan Line, named after Henry McMahon, the chief British negotiator at Shimla, was drawn from the eastern border of Bhutan to the Isu Razi pass on the China-Myanmar border. China claims territory to the south of the McMahon Line, lying in "Arunachal Pradesh".

Ya, Trump thinks Xi is weak and started the trade war. Trump thinks Xi will crumble without retaliating and even warn China not to retaliate against the USA in the trade war. How preposterous can a person be! Stupid cow does not know that he is dealing with a tiger.

'The Art of the Deal' is useless against the 'Art of War'

I believe many around thinks Xi is weak. Never judge a book by it's cover.

Xi's masterstrokes,

1. Change in foreign policy from bending the head, work quietly, hide one's strength, to take the bull by the horns, wolf warrior foreign policy, a tooth for a tooth.

2. BRI, a master international infrastructure plan involving hundreds of countries to rebuild a new trading network that left the Americans out in the cold. Redrawing the land and sea trade routes.

3. Reclaiming and rebuilding of South China Sea islands, turning them into military fortresses amid American opposition and threats.

4. Modernisation of the PLA with modern and leading edge weapons and weapon systems.

5. Establishing international organisations like the SCO, BRICS, AIIB, BRICS Development Bank.

6. Buying and rebuilding strategic international ports all over the world, particularly in Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America and Polynesia.

7. Rejuvenating a new, rich and powerful China.

8. Trading with the whole world, minus politics.

9. Internationalising the Yuan as an alternative to the dollar. Dedollarisation, with using Yuan to replace the dollar.

10. Responding to sanctions with counter sanctions.

11. Promoting the China Dream.

12. Standing up to the Americans, calling the American bluff.

Not to mention, both Xi and Deng were instrumental in making China Great Again.

Amidst global gloom, 2021 was the best year in modern Chinese history. Here’s what they accomplished:

Eliminated extreme poverty.

Reached 98% home ownership.

Kept Covid death rate at 0.6% of America’s.

Grew the economy $2 trillion PPP, the fastest growth ever.

Became the richest country on earth.

Became the world’s biggest overseas investor.

Became the world’s largest movie market.

Produced one new billionaire and 300 millionaires every workday.

Completed new train lines in seven countries, including Laos’ first.

Ran 15,000 cargo trains to and from Europe, up 30% YoY.

Joined RCEP trade pact, with 30% of global GDP and of the world’s population.

Sold $140 billion retail online in 24 hours (Amazon’s record is $5 billion).

Launched the first central bank digital currency.

Dominated scientific research and issued the most patents of any country.

Built three exascale computers to win the Gordon Bell prize.

Built a programmable quantum computer 10,000x faster than Google’s Sycamore.

Operated the first integrated, 3,000-mile, commercial, quantum communications network.

Brought online two gas-cooled Pebble Bed nuclear power plants.

Fired up two thorium-fueled reactors, eliminating uranium from power generation.

Released a Covid treatment that reduces hospitalizations and deaths 78%.

Made 55% of global energy savings.

Generated 1 terawatt of renewable energy.

Installed one-million 5G base stations, giving Tibet better 5G service than New York.

Communicated between satellites via lasers, 1,000x faster than radio waves.

Operated the world’s most powerful solid rocket engine, with 500 tonnes thrust.

Flew three hypersonic missiles around the planet.

Released a fractional orbital bombardment missile from another missile at 17,000 mph.

Simultaneously commissioned three warships, becoming the world’s biggest navy.

Expect China to maintain this pace through 2022 by launching, among other things, the first, greenfield, automated, 21st century city for six million knowledge workers. With 70% woods and lakes, the loudest sound will be birdsongs.

They also went to the moon and landed a space probe on Mars. All without help from the braggart. All the achievements are causing extreme anxiety and panic for the evil empire and it's poodles. The kept wondering why, in spite of all the sanctions and prohibition of China's participating in their programs, China still could progress that fast.

The best thing is that they can keep on underestimating China's achievements and progress. That is the best case scenario.

Now, it is even better with Russia and China co-operating in high end military research. The sky is the limit.

American achievements

1. Defeat in Afghanistan and fled.
2. Tried to copy 5G but failed.
3. Tried to start a war in South China Sea and failed.
4. Tried to con Muslim countries to fight China but go kicked out of SE Asia.
5. 54m Covid infection and nearly 1 million dead.
6. Selling fake and useless drugs called vaccines that cannot work with infection surging everyday.
7. Started trade wars and many wars with China but lost badly.
8. Make America Great but going down faster.
9. National debt ballooning.
10. Middle class and poorer Americans getting poorer with more living on charity and in the streets.
11. Drug addiction, lawlessness and killings rampant.
12. More and more countries stopped using the dollars to settle trade.
13. Kept telling lies but with the world laughing at their stupidity, like walking around naked without knowing it.
14. Electing clowns and liars as national leaders.
15. Still unable to build trustworthy rockets to take American astronauts to the ISS safely.
16. Losing credibility and support from Europeans, Arab and Muslim nations, Latin Americans and Africans.
17. Still trying to start wars to sell weapons, but no one buys it, unable to start new wars and unable to sell more weapons. So tripped the French to steal their submarine contracts with Australia.
18. Obsolete submarines that sailed blindly in the bottom of the ocean. Could not see a mountain and crashed into it. What a joke.

Their greatest achievements is putting others down so they can remain on top. Not by being better but by being insidious, not playing by the rules and using subterfuge.

Japan was on the verge of overtaking them but suffered their subterfuge and for decades never see the light of day. They tried very hard to do the same to China, targeting Huawei, forcing other countries to deny China high end semiconductors and chips, using trade war, buying support all over the world, trying their luck with former enemies and the Muslim world using Xinjiang as a battering ram against China. Like a pathetic dog!

Countries are turning to Russia and China now for weapons. Even Turkey, a member of NATO, is buying Russian arms. India also largely depended on Russia for arms despite being a member of QUAD.

As Russian arms gets better, more sophisticated and much cheaper, it will bite into the arms sales of the USA. It is a bitter pill to swallow for the Evil Empire that Russia and China is entering their yard.

Cripple the Military Establishment and the fall of the US$ Hegemony will follow> Or marginalise the US$ Hegemony and the USA Military Establishment will also fall too. There are various ways to skin a cat.

The Americans and western powers would not sell sophisticated and powerful weapons to countries they regard as enemies or potential enemies. The Latin American countries have been blocked from buying weapons not only from the western powers but also from the rest of the world. And countries selling them would be sanctioned.

Arab and Muslim countries like Malaysia and Indonesia, even Taiwan, would not be allowed to buy the best weapons from the west and the USA. Only obsolete or weapons they did not want would they sell to them.

Some Asean countries already know this. Thailand and Malaysia have bought and also ordering tanks, submarines, warships from China. Soon they would be orders for advanced Chinese fighter aircraft that the Americans would not sell them. And the aircraft is not just the aircraft alone. It is the weapons systems that made them deadly and effective. If the Americans or the western powers decided to sell, it would be a watered down version and with basic weapons, which would make them look like expensive toys, good to look at but not able to do what is expected from them.

Muslim and Arab countries would always be enemies of western powers and the USA and the 5 eyes countries.

Can Singapore buy fifth-gen J-20 stealth jets from China ?

Chua Chin Leng aka redbean said...

With the current Singapore US relationship, the answer is a firm NO.

Even Malaysia and Indonesia would not be able to buy J20s. The reason is obvious. The reason why Japan can buy F35s, not F22s, is that it is an arch enemy of China and the Americans are using them to fight China. Also, the Americans feel safe that Japan would not sell its secrets to China.

Myanmar has bought and received two submarines from China.
