MELBOURNE: Australia has joined the United States in stating that China's claims in the South China Sea do not comply with international law in a declaration likely to anger China and put more strain on their deteriorating relations.
The United States this month rejected China's claims to offshore resources in most of the South China Sea, drawing criticism from China which said the US position raised tension in the region.
Australia, in a declaration filed at the United Nations in New York on Friday (Jul 24), said it too rejected China’s maritime claims around contested islands in the South China Sea as being inconsistent with the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
"Australia rejects China's claim to 'historic rights' or 'maritime rights and interests' as established in the 'long course of historical practice' in the South China Sea," it said. Reuters
In the above article, as usual, the white men in US and Australia are claiming that China's claim to South China Sea's islands as unlawful. What about the white men's claim to the land in North America, now called USA, and the continent of Australia, seized from the natives of both lands? Are they lawful, are they legal?
What international laws allowed the white men to seize the land in North America and Australia from the natives? The South China Sea's islands are uninhabited when China found them. There was the law of finders keepers on no man's land. The continent of North America and Australia have their own native inhabitants, not no man's land. On what basis are the white Americans and Australians claiming these lands as theirs from the natives of these lands?

Laws and history are written by the victors and upheld by the victors, since the early stage of the invention of written communication.
The ones who are willing to succeed at all costs are eventually the victors.
To succeed at all costs is not by fluke but by design, right from the very beginning of any human endeavor.
A part of the design is naturally endowed by God or Mother Nature. The rest of that same design is humanly created or invented.
The naturally endowed part of the victors comprises physical prowess, mental strength, cunningness, intelligence, wisdom, and will power.
The humanly created/invented part of the victors comprises prepardness and resolve. Preparedness of making useful tools and weapons, mobilising, organising and training of troops, planning and strategizing the execution. Resolve to see through the successful completion of the execution at all cost.
The victors with their victorous mentally and effective weapons of terror terrorised the fallen victims to submit to their whimsical demands. The fallen victims had no choice but to surrender to their own weaknesses of unpreparedness to defend themselves against external aggressions and internal traitors' actions.
In the final analysis, he who is prepared to be victorous will be the victor. In other words, if you want peace and prosperity, be prepared for war and win the war at all costs.
In war, there is no law, no moral, no ethics, no religion, no human beings. The is only one factor of paramount importance: Victory!
The end justifies the means.
Up to a point what you said is true. It would be very frightening,depressing and scary if what you said is the total truth. For if that is the case, the rich and powerful would be rich and powerful forever. History has repeatedly showed that no matter how rich and how powerful, a day would come when something mysteriously happened and no matter how rich, how smart, how powerful, things would just go badly wrong and the rich and powerful would fall and become the poor losers.
It also applies to life. If not the rich and powerful would forever be rich and powerful. But many became poor overnight when the time has come for them to be poor. This is a kind of reminder for the rich and powerful not to be too cocky and haughty and mean to the the losers.

Your idea is to remind the rich and powerful that one day they are going to meet retribution right at their doorstep. That is called the Law of Natural Justice. In Buddhism and Hinduism, it is called Karma. You are right.
My idea is to remind the poor and weak to prepare themselves to defend their homeland, their belongings, their families and their lives. Otherwise, one day they are going to meet those unscrupulous and ruthless beasts, in human form.
As proven, those beasts have no qualms to kill them or make them their slaves, and take away all that they may possess, especially their land homeland, like Australia, New Zealand, North and South America, Europe and Oceania, plus many others. China was almost totally lost as well.
Ya, that is why there is a saying, man proposed, heaven disposed. Or else the rich and evil would forever be rich and evil and powerful.
No matter how they tried to build walls around themselves to protect their wealth and power, it would go away when they least expect it. It is called heaven's will.
