I trusted the PAP for far too long
Actually I am quite aware of whats going on in Singapore, we are surely moving to 6.9M or even 10M, it will come. I believe that Singapore is a small country and we need more people to consume so that the country will become prosperous with GDP growth. Of course, I know whatever the government says or hints, it will happen and we citizens no matter how much we complain or do those feedback, they will still do what they want to do.
I worked for IT MNC, I was middle management. Over the years, the company had imported so many foreigners that now more than half were foreigners and most are with PRs or new citizenships. It did not affect my job, I collected by five figure a month happily. However, last year the management changed, CECA imported aka new citizen became my boss. And to cut the story short, that was end of my career, I was pushed to limits and pressure forced me to resign. And my replacement, you know better. I quitted my job believing that my knowledge and skills would easily get me another one somewhere. Days turns into months and I remained unemployed since. I used to think people who voted oppositions are those complaint kings who are lazy and instead of upgrading, they complain and complain; in my eyes these people are standard opposition supporters. I went to WSG and E2i events, for your information, they are useless for PMETs, they just want you to rewrite CVs or do some low level menial jobs meant for lower secondary education. Sometimes I wonder why experienced and knowledgeable PMETs like us need to go upgrade to do a low level job while these third world imports get high level jobs and live in condos?
This whole event changed my world and life. Like those sheep at CHC, I was in rude awakening, it took me time to reflect all these years of blind faith and voting PAP, the trusted brand which keeps saying, ”With you, for you” every GE and leave no one behind. I applied for jobs, most middle level jobs, you have at least 500 – 1500 applicants, many are foreigners, fighting for one vacancy. So I finally know what is like to be unemployed, I could not imagine how these foreigners are all here competing with locals.
This election, I turned against PAP, the reason is obvious. After many decades of voting PAP, this is my first time voting WP. I had blindly trusted PAP for too long, too comfortable with my good job and pay. I never really believed this 6.9M or 10M is going to affect me. Now I had to caution all the local PMETs reading this to forward to all other PMETs who maybe sleeping or used to having blind faith like me. If we do not stand up to PAP earlier, eventually we will be hit or our next generations will be hit.
The MSM largely avoided the harsh truths of why voters are turning against PAP, they are skirting answers because they want to keep us dumb. I only changed my vote after I was hit. I agreed with most of the reasons listed by Seng Kang voter, he got it right. I am one of the blind faith and I know many of us are fearful of repercussion or change.
Will PAP change? Honestly, it will not, unless someone new is going to take over and overhaul the system. The plan for 6.9M is certainly on, I believe they will pretend to listen but will still do the same. So the Seng Kang voter is right, we expect them to continue to import more foreigners and convert, redrawing boundaries, more CPF changes and blood sucking policies.
I had trusted them for far too long, and I am asking all of you who have not woken up to start thinking and till the next GE, we should all go out and vote oppositions to stop them from destroying our lives and country our forefathers built. Remember these foreigners did not build this country, they came in on VIP tickets, our lunches are served on them. So for the sake of our future and next generation, we need to vote more oppositions or end up like me.

Sinkies got to wait another 5 more years. During this period many things will happen. More immigrants will come to steal away Sinkies lunches. More taxes will increase & many wallets will be kosong. Sinkies will be suck dry. The Oppo Parties could be all 'fixed' and sue till pants down. Worse, pandemic casualties will be even more impacting the economy & investors will jus run road. Two things stand out from this persons perspective. Firstly, those with good paying jobs will still tend to vote PAP. That was what he did, in order to enjoy the good life.
The second thing was he changed his vote to WP only because he lost his job. But is it rather late a decision, waiting until the shit hits the fan?
Where were all the rest of Sinkies like him and what were they doing when people in Hougang were already aware and fighting the battle on behalf of all Sinkies. For eight elections, Hougang residents carried the burden, until Aljunied joined the battle and now Sengkang.
For those who voted PAP and now face the consequences, there is little to cry about. You made your choice, you have to live with it. Like those in opposition wards. As a Hougang resident
I was asked by a doctor which I visited, years ago, what I feel about living in Hougang compared with all the frills of living in a PAP ward. I tole him those are peripheral issues, and Hougang had even been dangled the upgrading carrot but did not fall for it. Woody found out that the PAP cannot bribe the Teochew people of Hougang. Upgraded or not, every HDB flat will reach zero value when it reaches 99 years. But people elsewhere bought into the PAP lies that upgrading enhances the value of your flat. Is that the truth? Now we know.
The leeders behaved as if nothing happened, or not wanting to know, or afraid to know, like they are under some kind of spell cast upon them, to replace Singaporean PMETs with foreigners.
There seems to be some kind of fear to talk about it, to want to protect Singaporean PMETs from this fate.
Why is it so, that they are afraid to stop this very painful tragedy affecting Singaporeans. Why are they doing this to Singaporeans?
Do they really think the Singaporeans would forgive them and let them do this to them continuously without hitting back?

CECA that they signed are Laws abiding as agreement in the WTO guide lines.
So they want to maintain their status and reputation as a law abiding country and also an open economy country to attract others besides the Indians.
So, have to blinded and have own undergone these sufferings.
They blindly allowed their Management free reins in their employments requirements and that's the main reasons why they are here.
Bullshits what's transfers of skills and technologies to the locals as per our requirements.

So when you were earning thousands, you probably felt important in society. You probably also thought, "well its not my concern" at the time. Now you feel remorse? Too little too late buddy. Parasites in oversize public housing gardens live luxirously while lesser citizens are cramped in reduced floor area, maybe as bad as domitaries. Their version of "Better Living". Construction is never ending. Consequently dust piles in homes, bus stops, public areas etc., etc. How healthy is that vs C-19? Let alone the frequent continous flow of vehicles and buses stopping at bus stops emitting exhaust gas directly into bus bays. It's a good thing that face mask is a present mandatory item. An island that's land constraint but some own more than a single piece of property. I think the motto here is you can buy private but first you buy public housing. If I have a million in my CPF RA, I'd love this island, especially the ones responsible.

Every time he came out and gave an anticipation of things to come, it came about the next day or so. That means the 2nd Wave is already there in Singapore and he is already aware. That's why he gives the warning, in order to show that he is ahead of things. True of false?
The second wave would surely come because they are afraid of offending the USA and India, the two most infected countries and keep allowing their diseased people to come in to share their virus with our people.

Now, when someone switch Camps and gave you the swing votes to win two GRCs and one SMC, you think you are there already. And can behave so arrogantly and viciously. Be humble a bit lah.

With such "Stupidity has no cure" people in the Opposition camp, there is no need for PAP to fix you. You are fixing yourself. No wonder Opposition camp cannot gain much headway.
If Opposition people continue in this arrogant, vicious and stupid way of driving away would-be Opposition voters, come next GE, you will find WP lose seats again. As it is WP has already lost about 2% of popular votes, compared with 2015 results. Do you know that?

TCB has promised he would pushed the Govt on CECA in parliament if elected. Since he has lost by a whisker, his party has 2 NMP seats
Together with 10 WP MPs,they should not disappoint voters in bringing CECA and ask for a review of this uneven trade agreement. After all, CECA is one of the reasons they were voted into parliament.
If Sinkies had waited for people like Ricky Seow to change his vote after losing his job, I think we would have already sunk into one party dictatorship rule long ago.
It will not just be a case of not too late, it will be a matter of too little too late. It is fortunate that Hougang's fate does not rest on voters like Ricky, otherwise it would have fallen long ago and that be the end of the opposition. And of what use then does voters like Ricky contribute by highlighting his plight now and support for the WP?
Of course nobody can fault Ricky for his political orientation, notwithstanding that Hougang people have been doing it for decades already.

The silly fucks are top scholars who must have known very well. It is the top scorers within their circle that screwed all of us.
