While the whole world has quietly accepted India's lost of 3 Rafales, 1 SU30, 1 MiG29 and a Mirage2000 to Pakistan, India is celebrating its own victory, claiming to have shot down a Pakistani AWACS, 2 F16s, 1 JF17 and a C130. None of India's claims has been acknowledged by the rest of the world. But this did not bother the Indians. They are all delirious in their self claimed victory in their Operation Sindoor.
The French are still not sure how many Rafales had been shot down. They want to know the exact number. India has claimed that not a single Rafale has been shot down. The French try to find out by another way. They send a team of engineers to India as part of a post sale maintenance package to check on the Rafales.
India pointedly said no. No need post sale maintenance. India is capable of looking after the Rafales and all the Rafales are safe. The Indians see through the ploy of the French, making this visit to gain access to the Rafales to want to find out how many Rafales are left and how many were actually shot down.
The Indians have closed the door to the naughty French. Anyway, if all the Rafales are safe, there is no reason to stop the French from taking stock of the Rafales in IAF. The more the Indians try to keep the French away, try to hide their Rafales from the French, it is an indirect admission that some Rafales were shot down.
The big question, how many? 3 or more?
