Born to rule, made to rule or you are told they are Good to rule?

The debate as to why PAP is seen as the only political party fit to rule, to be the govt, or PAP candidates are simply ruling material, talented politicians while the opposition parties and candidates are NG is still very hazy in the minds of Sinkies. Why would anyone put up by the PAP is a political talent, an unquestionable talent to rule? Maybe I should use a very simple elaboration to clear this myth.

Let me put up a few famous sons of Singapore as potential candidates in the GE, Quah Kim Song, Fandi Ahmad and Sundram Moorthy. There is no intent to show any disrespect to any one of them. Assuming the PAP would to invite them for tea and found them suitable to stand as its candidates, they will instantly be deemed as good catch, good enough to sit in Parliament as MPs or maybe even ministers. Tiok boh? Every PAP candidate is either born to rule or made to rule by wearing the PAP badge. Their ability simply manifest itself, just like that.

On the other hand, if they are chosen by the WP or SDP or any of the alternative parties, what do you think? Would they be ridiculed and called names or condemn as unfit to be MPs? An easy line of attack will be not enough As or not distinguished academics or professionals. Footballers are a different type of professionals. Only academics and industry professionals, civil servants and uniformed chiefs are worthy to be politicians. You can bet the PAP would not put up any non academics as their candidates.

Maybe change the three names to some academics or professionals like Eugene Tan, Yang Razali Kassim and Janadas Devan. It would be quite easy to see these people as government material with very little doubts. But if they are to put on the badges of SDP or WP, would they be seen as the same good candidate material for political office? Anyone got any doubt of their abilities to be able to run the country?

Why are people forming different opinions of candidates immediately not because of the quality of the individuals but by the badge they wore of the party that put them up? Why are those wearing the PAP badge become instant good politicians, Born to rule and Made to rule but not those from the alternative parties?

Branding, brainwashing, conditioning or because the Sinkies have lost the ability to think and judge for themselves? Why is a duck better than a chicken as a politician or vice versa? Why choose a duck over a chicken? Any difference, or what is the difference? The badge, the party? Because someone said the duck is good and the chicken is no good?

Have the people forgotten how to think for themselves?  The people of Hougang and Punggol East have started to exercise this innate ability to think, to think what is good or NG, and to make their own judgement. Yes, the people are starting to think, and it is as simple as that. When the people start to believe in themselves and dispelling the myth that they are daft, there is hope. Remove the shackles and set yourself free from the evil spell of being daft.

The consistent social media narrative

Branding is the key to market a successful product. Branding in politics is also very successful in branding a person or in tainting a person. Just keep the narrative going, the unthinking and the sycophants would sing in chorus. Better to have a few cheer leaders to lead a few young punks to jump high and low when the chorus is sung. It always works. Among the notables that were branded and have to live with the tags on them are the 3 doctors, actually more, JBJ, Tang Liang Hong, Chee Soon Juan, the Marxist Conspirators, and lately Roy Ngerng and Han Hui Hui

Today there is another very strong narrative in the social media. And they are singing the same songs daily, more vociferous and scandalous, more vicious than anything the main media could print. The narrative is unprintable. The adjectives used to describe the victims are also unprintable. The point is they are singing a different chorus and there are no short of cheer leaders and their teams of dancers and followers to do the same.

I am restraining my self, with all my fingers taped and bound, to resist typing out the things that were floating in the social media. Like they said, there are two sides of the coins. What you can do I can do also. And the effect is just the same. The believers to this new narrative are growing. The believers of the other church just have no replies, their feeble attempts and whimpers just could not be heard.

When people are being branded as stupid, idiots, clowns, traitors, and much, much worse, and spoken often enough, some would believe they are the truths, and some that used to think otherwise would have their doubts about what they were told before.

The battle of the hearts and minds are fought daily, started long ago, in the internet. Alternative opinions and views are offered, often unchallenged, (except ineffective, stupid and shameless personal attacks on the authors) just like those views and opinions in the main media. Many are new converts to an alternative narrative and an alternate truth. The thinkings are hardened, back by testimonies and hard data.

Call it psy war, call in propaganda, half truths, untruths, brain washing, the battle ground is now more level.

Reports of a Statement by the Hospital on 9 Jan 2014 announced that Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) has dismissed a Radiologist Nursing staff member, one Ello Ed Mundsel Bello [Facebook nick: Edz Ello], after he had admitted to “offensive comments” made last year (2014). The pattern of similar derogatory anti-Singapore remarks on his Facebook were in fact discovered only AFTER more recent, and possibly criminal, inflammatory threats to “kick out Singaporeans” and “prayed (wished) for Singaporean deaths” were made on 3 Jan 2014, also on his Facebook.  

The Statement particularly mentioned that this decision, coincidentally by the New Top Hospital Management, was NOT related to the more serious Threats to National Security posted by the Staff on the 3 Jan 2014.  I am baffled and wondered why the need for this Caveat since these threats is not a laughing matter.  

TTSH had earlier wrongly placed the Staff on administrative duties, pending police investigations of the recent Threat instead of the standard HRM practice of suspending the Staff pending the police investigations as well as an Internal Inquiry.

TTSH was founded 170 years ago on the spirit and values of compassion and care for the people as personified by its Founder Tan Tock Seng.

That a Staff of TTSH should harbor such murderous thoughts regarding Singapore and all things Singaporean had understandably shocked our Nation this week.

Yet this Week, in the face of obvious death threats and a fellow co-worker’s desire to inflict possible personal harm to Singaporeans, TTSH Singaporean staff continued to report to work and attend to the hundreds of Hospital patients and visitors, trusting the Authorities to do the Right thing.  This resolute spirit of TTSH Staff in caring for its patients this week is legendary.  And Singapore is once again reminded of their similar bravery and courage which touched us across the island when SARS hit Singapore in 2003.

Singaporeans fondly recalled TTSH as our “Ground-Zero” bastion in the Battle Against the Deadly SARS Virus in 2013.  SARS had also inflicted many Healthcare workers including 49 nurses, 13 doctor and 22 others (attendants, radiographers, housekeepers, a porter, and a cleaning supervisor).  Healthcare workers constituted more than 40% of those who had contracted SARS.  This week, we too remembered the TTSH heroes who died from the disease, and the many more heroes in TTSH who made invaluable contributions and sacrifices.

Many Questions however remained Unanswered:

How did this happen?

Are there more like-minded “Hate Singaporeans” Foreign Talents?

Have the Human Contagion been Totally Destroyed?

Have all Co-conspirators, if Any, been Identified and Eliminated?

Are Singaporeans NOW Safe?

It is critically important that we should not treat this lightly as an isolated case. We need to be clear-headed and study the circumstances for such a human contagion to flourish right under our very eyes and noses.  It is NOT a call for a witch-hunt for “Sook Sing” [or “Kill Singaporeans”] serial-killers among foreign talents from any particular country.  The end of our Post-mortem must be to send an unequivocal, categorical and yet loud message that Singaporeans WILL NOT laugh away any threats to our nation, community and loved ones. 

An unmistakable example must be made out of this incident to project no doubt that Singaporeans will respond swiftly; and as totally, resolutely, strongly and decisively to any Threats to Singapore and our way of life in the same ruthless manner that we had dealt with the SARS virus.

Condolence to Charlie and the victims in France

While everyone is in the mood to cry for the 12 victims in the French massacre, calling it an act of savagery and all the strongest words they could find in their vocabulary, I would also like to offer my belated condolence to all the innocent Iraqis that were butchered by the most savage crimes against them in their country, by the invading Americans. How many hundred thousands were killed, maimed, and their lives ruined? How many children were left crippled, orphaned and homeless when their parents were murdered by the flying smart bombs? Their homes flatten, their country and economy in ruins. No more schools, no more play time and many lying in hospitals.
 
Please offer your condolences if you think your heart is in the right place and ready to show a little kindness to the innocents in Iraq, in Libya, in Syria, in Afghanistan and next, the most savage of all, the impending invasion of North Korea.
 
Ask yourself, what has this country done to you or anyone except wanted to live their own lives within the boundaries of North Korea? Why are the Americans preparing to invade this country, to kill the innocents that never even speak to you or about you, and did not know who you are?
 
And here is my condolence to the North Korean people in advance, the young and the old, for whatever crime the Americans are going to convict them and to kill them in the name of freedom and democracy.
 
Who are the real savages? Or the Arabs don't count? Are they not humans?

Singaporeans, use your votes wisely

The Real Singapore is an aggregator and has been reposting some of my articles there when they found them suitable. I am reposting one of their articles which I think Singaporeans should read and know. Singaporeans must learn to protect themselves from the invasion of foreign talents that are infesting the banking and finance industry, academia and IT too. You do not want to panic like when the rats are running all over Bukit Batok to say enough is enough. It may be too late then. Actually it is already too late. Here is the article titled,
 
‘Deutsche Bank hires many Indian nationals in high paying positions.
Yesterday, we wrote about Sambath Kannan who came from India to Singapore to work in a high-paying position but derided Singaporeans and said he pitied them. He was later castigated by other Singaporeans and it was also found that the bank that Mr Sambath works at also hires many Indian nationals in high-paying positions.
 
Mr Sambath Kannan came from Pondicherry in India and is a Vice President at Deutsche Bank.
 
Yesterday, he wrote a comment on the People's Action Party Facebook page.
 
"Let us not wait for others to do everything for us. Let us each do our part and give it all that we can," he quoted prime minister Lee Hsien Loong as saying.
 
Then he chided Singaporeans….
 
He lamented about how Singaporeans complain about housing and jobs.
 
"I am really concerned and at times I pity them," he said of Singaporeans.
He then added, "Those born, had education and experience in other countries migrate to Singapore, utilise the opportunities available, create the opportunities for Singaporeans, they grow, they help Singapore to grow. Some of them consider Singapore as their home."...
 
After the backlash against his comment, he has taken down the post and clarified that he is a Singaporean. Mr Sambath is also a new citizen.
 
But he also criticise Singaporeans.
 
"But, some of the Singaporeans are yet to realise the opportunities available and yet to realise their own potentials. They waste their time and energy by criticising the government," he said.
 
This got many Singaporeans riled up.
 
Other commenters did not take to Mr Sambath's words kindly.
 
"So, you are a new citizen, Sambath Kannan? You come here, enjoy the fruits of the hard work of native Singaporeans which made Singapore what it is today and you want to pour caustic comments on us?" one commenter said.
 
"Do you even know how the bottom 20% of Singaporeans live?" another asked….
 
This led Mr Sambath to say, "Please try to understand I am not blaming any body. I feel hurt when the public make negative comments about our ministers or Singapore govt."
 
Indeed, Mr Sambath earns a good salary in the Deutsche Bank and might not understand the plight of ordinary Singaporeans who earn much lower salaries….
What is more, netizens later discovered that many of Mr Sambath's colleagues at Deutsche Bank are also many Indian nationals who hold positions of vice-presidents and directors, like he does.
 
This angered even more Singaporeans.
 
Questions have been asked about why Deutsche Bank hires so many foreigners in their high posts and why the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) hasn't yet taken action against the bank.
 
It is known that the financial industry in Singapore is being taken over by foreigners and replacing the jobs that Singaporeans use to fill….’

Singaporeans should not get angry unnecessarily. Singaporeans should not get angry with this Sambath Kannan. He and Deutsche Bank are just symptoms of the disease affecting this island. Think carefully about what all these meant to Singaporeans and their children and vote wisely. Only Singaporeans can help themselves and protect their children’s future. Singaporeans must decide and decide quickly if this is good for their country and children. No one is going tell you the truth on how this will impact them in the negative and will hit them flat on their faces. Your future and the future of your children depend on what you think should be done to this high population problem and where you want it to go.

Dr Goh Keng Swee resurrected

A forummer Edmund wrote this, (full article in TRE under the title, ‘Dr Goh did warn about dependence on FTs for growth.’)
 
‘Yes, Dr Goh did warn about Singapore’s dependence on FTs for growth way back in 1972. At the time, he was speaking in his personal capacity at a symposium.
He had previously discussed and sought the advice of his adviser, Dr Albert Winsemius. Their views were similar. So, Dr Goh felt that it was his duty as a Minister to air his views as a common citizen.
 
He warned that if Singapore was too obsessed with the rapid growth, this would result in a state where it would be out of control (not sustainable and probably irreversible).
Dr Goh asked then, “To be precise, at what point should we stop importing foreign workers and cease to encourage foreign entrepreneurs and capital to come into Singapore?”
 
“Because of our limited land area, industrial expansion together with population expansion that goes with it, will produce overcrowding to increasingly uncomfortable limits,” he added.
 
How prescient Dr Goh was in his prediction back in 1972. Some 40 years later, Singapore is exactly in the situation Dr Goh has described – “overcrowding to increasingly uncomfortable limits”…..’
 
Goh Keng Swee might not say anything about jumping out of his grave, but by revisiting what he said, his warning of the future, ie today and forward, is as good as him standing up to talk to the Singaporeans to heed his advice. What he said in 1972 is very relevant today and the seriousness of his thoughts about the consequences is there for all to see. Only fools will ignore his wisdom and that of Dr Winsemius. Our children will pay dearly for ignoring Dr Goh’s warning.
 
Yes, Dr Goh Keng Swee has stood up again. Ignore his words at your own peril. The problem is that his advice and warnings have been ignored for the last few decades and the problem is now so huge and intrinsic that it cannot be reolved. We will all have to live with this self inflicted problem. The only way to avoid the problem blowing up in our face is to kick it down the road. Keep inflating the population to have fictitious growth and ignore the consequences, don’t look at them, don’t talk about them.
 
The govts in the future will have to face this problem squarely and would have to take very drastic actions to save our country and future from an implosion.

What is a political party?

The question is basic, but needs to be asked again as daft Sinkies are still too daft to understand what is a political party. To the daft Sinkies there is only one right political party and the rest are bordering on being anti establishment, anti country and anti people, or simply irresponsible, reckless and fools. A political party is a legal institution protected under the Constitution. The Constitution also provides for freedom of association or joining an association like a political party, and freedom of expression.
A political party is not a criminal party or association. A political party is not anti country or anti state unless it is stated in the party’s manifesto. A political party is not an enemy of the state or govt. So is a member of a political party.
 
Joining a political party or being a member of a political party is not a crime or an offence against the law. Organisations or institutions forbidding its staff from joining a political party are acting against the Constitution. It is not funny when the PM and ministers and all MPs and civil servants, except those running as independent, are or can be members of a political party and organization but institutions, got the gumption to forbid its staff to join political parties. There could be some exceptions but with very exceptional reasons to be exempted under the Constitution to do otherwise. It is not a crime or an offense to join a political party.
 
Why are some parties/party members be viewed, perceived or treated like they were enemies of the state, or criminals, by virtue of the fact that they are political parties or members of political parties? Any political party can be the ruling govt if they win a GE, and the incumbent ruling party would have to step down and be one of the many alternative parties. All political parties are equal under the provisions of the law and have an equal right to contest for political office to form the govt.
 
The perceptions that alternative political parties and membership to political parties are negative or anti establishment, they are enemies of the state or criminals, or meaning to do no good must be put right. A political party is there to offer itself to serve the people and country with alternative policies. And it is the right of the people to choose whichever party and their policies to run the country. No political party has a special birth right to be the ruling party of the country. This right must come from the people, must be given by the people, with the consent of the people.

Globalisation – It’s all coming back home, Charb knows.

The Paris attack on a controversial magazine, Charlie Hebdo and killing its editor Stephane Charbonnier, is taking the western world to a new reality. They can never hide under the name of freedom of expression to ridicule and humiliate the poorer and military weaker countries. Globalisation has a price to be paid especially by the bullies who think they can bomb another country, conduct regime change, or as the killing of Charb has demonstrated, you can’t go around abusing other people, their culture, race and religion and their political leaders with impunity.
 
Globalisation, when the enemies are living with you, a better comprehension of asymmetrical warfare and a zealous motivated individual are enough to turn a country upside down. Walking down the streets of Paris, London or New York is no longer safe. Safety cannot be taken for granted. The West may want to reflect upon this menace they have created by oppressing other people, religion and states. It will all come back home to settle scores. The battle field is still uneven and heavily lopsided, but it is not invincible, impenetrable and impervious to suicide squads.
 
At the national level, taking pot shot at other countries like the roguish cruise missile strike against a Chinese Embassy in Belgrade would no longer be tolerated and accepted as a price to be paid for weakness. It will be war and American Embassies will be struck if a similar shameless attack is repeated. The highhanded and criminal invasion of Iraq and the recent unprovoked attack on the North Korean computer system will see a return of the favour in a matter of time. The USA and the West may think they can continue with their reckless exploitation of their military and technological superiority to coerce and attack other nations and people. The reality is that the victims can hit back and will strike back.
 
Let the Paris attack be a lesson to those haughty and cocky western criminals that they cannot hide and cannot run if they throw stones at other people. The stones will come crashing back.
 
PS. Matilah and Veritas, please be careful with your expletives and insensitive comments on other people and religion. You would not know when they will look for you. You are as safe as Charb.

Wrong Medicine at Singapore Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

TTSH Allowed Possible Human Contagion without Quarantine

A Radiographer nursing staff [Facebook nickname “Edz Ello”] of Singapore’s Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) posted inflammatory threats to “kick out Singaporeans” and “prayed (wished) for Singaporean deaths” on his Facebook has been placed on administrative duties, pending police investigations.  The Hospital decision apparently ignored a pattern of similar derogatory anti-Singapore remarks on his Facebook.

Pending the outcome of a purported Police investigations, the Standard HRM practice is to suspend the staff and bar his presence from the Hospital for up to 7 days (as allowed by labour laws) while convening a separate Internal Inquiry which would carry out a forensic analysis of his work station, including official and personal computers, personal papers, case files, as well as conduct interviews of co-workers and friends. Any past incidents should be flagged eg. Mails, posts, graffiti and quarrels involving Singaporean patients, co-workers, visitors and vendors should be re-examined.  Should he be deem a flight risk, the Police should detain him under protective custody and/or retain his passport.

While on suspension, the Staff could prepare and collect whatever evidence to support his purported defense [“Someone hacked his Facebook account”]. Given the pattern of similar derogatory anti-Singapore remarks on his Facebook, his defense seemed incredulous.  Nonetheless, the Staff is entitled to due process in Singapore where we apply the Rule of Law even for the more hardened social and criminal offender.

It is a Major Mistake to allow the Staff to return to the workplace amidst the negative publicity against him, and to provide him opportunities for the possible tampering or removal of evidence against him and/or threaten co-workers and other persons against incriminating him.

Furthermore, the words specifically used on his Facebook, and previous postings, [“pray(ing) for “disastors” to strike Singapore and wants to see more Singaporeans die”], if indeed attributed to him, would clearly make him a potential danger to hundreds of Singaporean TTSH staff, Singaporean patients as well as thousands of Singaporean visitors to TTSH daily.   

It is a monumental lapse of leadership judgment to allow the Staff to be in the Hospital, to continue dealing with Singaporeans whom his words [if attributable] had so murderously directed at, before the final determination of the threat assessment that he posed to public safety and security, especially to the Hospital patients, staff and visitors.

As Singapore’s Top Communicable Disease Center, TTSH should know that a contagion MUST be quarantined and contained.  Suspending and Barring the Staff from the Hospital where he could pose a danger to others, and also for his own safety, would not violate any of his civil and due process rights.   

This is straight-forward human resource and national security problem.

At worst, we have discovered a potential serial killer who harbours murderous thoughts for the deaths of all Singaporeans.  At best, the Staff was merely suffering from a mental defect or disease resulting from prolonged working in Singapore far from home.  If the former, the Police would deal with him accordingly.

Should the Staff be diagnosed with a mental defect or illness against Singaporeans and all things Singapore, just remove him like a virus from the environment that “caused” or “feed” his affliction – Singapore.  The obvious solution then is to deport the Staff and bar him from entering Singapore for his own mental health recovery. 

TTSH as a highly respectable public healthcare institution should have managed the case in a more professional and serious manner instead of merely transferring the Staff to administrative duties (seriously?) and allowing him to walk freely around the Hospital as a potential danger to patients, staff and the public who are Singaporeans.

Neo colonization: Is Singapore a republic or a colony?

When the British and the Japs were here, they formed the govt and took charge of everything. Two of the most important roles of any govt are the distribution of power and the distribution of wealth. They took all the important jobs and distributed the good jobs to their own people. The locals were shunned except for jobs that they did not want to do or needed the locals to do. The best jobs that the locals could expect from the British were Chief Clerks or ‘tua chye hoo’. In the Police, staff sergeants or station inspectors were possible.
 
In the case of the Japanese Occupation, jobs for the locals were even more scarce. Other than labour intensive jobs, the best job that the Japanese would offer to the locals was perhaps as interpreters. No chief clerks or police NCOs. Informers yes.
 
We gained independence like the animals taken over the farmer’s farm. We gave ourselves all the top jobs and good jobs. We took over the govt and the country and the future and destiny were in our hands. We were happy. Our own citizens were in charge, placed in all the good jobs like the British and Japanese did for their citizens, not for their subjects. The subjects were given jobs they did not want to do.
 
50 years after independence, have things changed? Is there a new colonization in the making? Why are the top jobs and good jobs taken over by the foreigners? Not only that, they are in charged in many professions and called the tune, decide who they want to employ. And many Sinkies were simply sacked from the good jobs so that the foreigners could bring in their kinds to fill up the good positions.
 
If this is not colonization what is? It has not reached the top political jobs yet but signs are there that it would be. Then the colonization would be complete when the newcomers would take over the govt and all the top jobs and give all the good jobs to their own kind.
 
Several industries and professions are already in an advanced stage of this new colonization. The banking and finance industry, the IT industry, the recruitment industry, the academia, where foreigner are filling up the top management positions and calling the shots and often the locals were asked to go. How many of our local professors and academics have been left on the shelf and how many foreigners are filling up their positions in the universities? Cherian George, Michael Ho, to name a couple of the outstanding academics we have lost.
 
How far would this neo colonization be allowed to go on? And it is happening right before our very eyes, with no resistance, and the daft Sinkies are still having that silly smirk on their faces. Everything is fine, life is so good without know that foreigners are screwing their asses and soon it would be their turn to go.
Sinkies are called daft not for no reasons. The Silver Brigade must stand up and teach the young asses and tell them right in the face how stupid they are. They must right the wrongs. They have seen it before and must not let history to repeat itself. The kids are glued to their iPhones and did not know what is happening around them.

Foreigners do jobs that Sinkies did not want

‘Prof Borjas reminded me of PAP ministers who constantly exhort Singaporeans to be grateful to foreigners for making the creation of jobs possible. They and their apologists even claim that the immigrants are merely doing the jobs that local citizens shun.
 
Prof Borjas said he heard a similar argument in the US but retorted that it was a false statement, stating categorically that “immigrants do jobs natives don’t want at the going rate“.’
 
I quoted the above from an article by SFP and I can only say how true, how true. But I must confess that I am quoting these two paragraphs out of context to prove a point in what daft Sinkies have been made to believe in. Would any daft Sinkie refute or disagree with me when I agree with the same myth that foreigners only take jobs that Sinkies did not want to do? Now you are getting the idea. You are not daft after all.
We have 2m foreigners working here. Are all the jobs not wanted by Sinkies? Sinkies do not want to be ministers and MPs? Sinkies did not want to earn millions or the miserable MP allowance of $16k pm? Maybe politics is not the Sinkies’ cup of tea except for the selfless and self sacrificing immortals that would step forward to serve the daft Sinkies.
 
Let’s move to the private sectors. There are a few jobs that Sinkies did not want, the CEO of SGX, the CEO of DBS and CEOs of several other banks. Yes, no Sinkies want these jobs so they were given to the jobless and hungry and desperate foreigners. What about all the top management jobs in banking and finance and other industries? Sinkies also didn’t want these jobs? And the poor foreigners have no choice but to accept them and have to drag their whole families, papa and mama and papa and mama in laws here to suffer with them. And since all these jobs no Sinkies want, so they were encouraged to bring their whole village to come here and suffer, to do jobs that Sinkies did not want to do. And you see how happy our retrenched and sacked PMEs are driving their taxis and becoming security guards and not having to shoulder the heavy responsibilities in their previous jobs that they did not want. Now they have so much free time to sit in the kopitiams to enjoy themselves, sipping a cup of kopi hoping it will last 3 hours. And having so much time to talk cock and scold the govt. That must be a great and care free life that these daft Sinkies desired.
 
Every PME jobless is one that did not want his job. So the poor foreigners have to be recruited to fill up the vacancies left by the choosy Sinkies. Remember Anton Casey or Edz Ello, or Sambath Kannan? They are doing jobs that Sinkies did not want. They must be suffering quietly and very unhappy. Sinkies must feel sorry for the plight of these foreigners, having to swallow their pride to take on jobs that Sinkies did not want. And Sinkies need not feel bad about IT jobs that they did not want too. Just throw them to the foreigners. Since Sinkies don’t want to do, we will give it to the Gentiles. And one job that Sinkies definitely did not want to do is Human Resource Manager. Many of the Human Resource Manager positions have been reluctantly offered to foreigners as no Sinkies like to do this job.
 
Did I prove my case? Dunno how many more jobs that Sinkies did not want to do have gone to the foreigners? Maybe Tony may want to give up his job also. Maybe Hsien Loong may want to give up his job also. So, which unlucky foreigners will end up having to take on these jobs that Sinkies did not want? Oh, Grace Fu also did not want her job too, and Hsien Loong got to beg her to stay on. If she said no then it might go to the foreigners too. And several ministers were also got fed up of being ministers and have quitted. They would even quit as MPs. There are so many jobs that Sinkies did not want and waiting for the foreigners to take over.

Adolf Hitler perfected the “Big Lie” as a propaganda technique about the use of a Lie so "colossal" that no one would believe that someone "could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously."

An European Government-commissioned study concluded that top World Universities Rankings Standards are so based on dubious data and subjective weightings of factors that they are useless as a basis for information if the goal is to improve higher education.  “Useless” - its verdict on a popular World Universities Ranking Standard after a thorough and in-depth decomposition of its methodology.

Public Warning: DO NOT Trust Universities Rankings.

World Universities Ranking Standards are a global multi-billion dollar industry.  A higher ranking translates to University fees from more unsuspecting students especially from the emergent rich developing countries from China, India and East Asia. To the Vendors, it means revenue from consultancy, publications and media exposure. For Universities Administrators and Managers, they represent profitable performance results, never mind that the Standards have little, often nothing, to do with their Universities’ learning mission outcome.

For parents, the Rankings represent a convenient solution to the difficult task of University choice for their children, never mind that they had invented and perpetuated the Myth of “One Best University” as well as the obvious Big Lie that “One University Fits All” regardless of your child’s interests, subject preference, learning ability and career choice. Because these students and their parents do not know better, they became easy victims to the Predators of the True Big Lies and Delusions about Universities Ranking Standards.  

The United Nations Education agency, UNESCO, has challenged the validity and reliability of University Rankings calling the World Universities Ranking Standards Bogus Ranking Standards of Dubious Excellence, as most University Professors and Academics.

The London-based QS World Universities Ranking has been called “a Fraud on the public.” Another Eminent Professor said: “QS simply doesn’t do as good a job as the other rankers that are using multiple indicators”. The Eminent Professor Simon Marginson of then Melbourne University remarked that: “I do think social science-wise it’s so weak that you can’t take the results seriously”. 

The BIG LIE Exposed.

To its naïve, gullible and unsuspecting market of prospective students and their parents, the methodology behind creating the Big Lie of World Universities Ranking Standards is vague enough so that no average reader can quite figure out how and why these Universities are ranked as they did. However, the Standards and their respective systems with its publications of numbers and statistics, supported by enthusiastic endorsements by Universities, politicians and some Professors, seem clear enough to suggest a façade of validity, thereby completing Hitler’s Big Lie formula.

Governments have a duty to intervene and ban the use of World Universities Rankings Standards by its public-funded Universities.  It is like any false and misleading marketing.  Some Universities have been known to submit incomplete and false data to Standards Vendors in the hope of improving their rankings.

Singapore’s involvement with the Big Lie of World Universities Ranking is a case in point.  Known globally for our Authentic Accomplishments, our Universities were seduced by the tsunami of the Fraudulent World Universities Rankings at the turn of the 21^st Century.  

When ranked undeservingly low by the Rankers, Singapore’s NTU, one of only 2 top local and Great Universities, began to re-calibrate actively in accordance with the Big Lie’s definition of “world excellence”.  Never mind that their common Mission was and has always been the Creation of Singapore’s Future.  The impact of NTU’s research excellence which had encouraged entrepreneurship in its faculty and students and produced many spin-off companies were trivialized to just research paper citations.       

To satisfy the Rankers’ preference for foreign students and faculty members, NTU embarked on a systematic purge of local Professors, never mind that many are tenured, have accomplished internationally, and have served the University with distinction, and denied admission to many qualified Singaporeans by increasing foreign students admission, and forcing those from better income families to seek and obtain admissions to, ironically, top Universities overseas.

Some laws were also possibly broken with regard to the constitutional protection of Singaporean Professors and their retirement age, but the irrational, mindless frenzy spared nothing to obtain a Brand of Questionable Authenticity.

A few hundred Singaporean Professors were purged from 2007 to beyond 2010. And more than 6,500 Singaporean students, or between 1,700-1,900 annually, were denied NTU admission into various 3-year and 4-year Undergraduate Programs from 2009-2013.

Finally by 2014, NTU was ranked as the Top Youngest University in the World by QS Ranker, and ranking just 39th Worldwide.  Indeed, what a “climb” from 77th in 2008!  Indeed, a Pyrrhic and Hollow Victory, nothing more.

Never in the short History of Singapore has so much been owed by the Nation to so many Singaporeans so stupidly sacrificed for nothing of any worthy value to our Future or the World.

Seriously, enough is enough of the stupid stuff! The Singapore Government should direct our Universities to ignore the Big Lie of World Universities Ranking Standards, as so wisely counseled by one of the main Ranker himself. 

Singapore universities should no longer participate in the Big Lie of any “World Universities Ranking” Fraud and lends our hard-earned Reputation for Authenticity and Honesty to mask their lack of credibility, validity and reliability.  We must continue to uphold the honest Truth before the World and ourselves, not out of fear of laws and penalties but because this is WHO WE ARE. Our High Standards of integrity and honesty reflect the Society we want to live in, and the values we uphold and hold ourselves to embrace.

The appeasement to Abe

When Adolf Hitler started the militarization of Germany, the European powers looked on quietly, hoping that he was only rebuilding Germany to protect itself. England, the dominant power than adopted a policy of appeasement, allowing Hitler to expand his armed forces freely as he wished. When Hitler finally invaded the rest of Europe it was too late to cry. Europe almost went under if the Americans did not intervened, but at a very high cost on human lives and sufferings. There would be no holocaust and millions of Jews would not have suffered the cruelties of the Germans. European countries would not have been put to ruins and their citizens killed and maimed for life. It was too late to regret for the failure to stop the militarization of Germany.
 
In East Asia today, the forces that would lead to a third World War have been set in motion just like the days of Adolf Hitler. Japan, under the Abe Administration, is going the same path as Hitler’s Germany. Military build up and remilitarization are top priority. Abe has a free hand to do as he pleases, like Adolf Hitler, and better still, with the encouragement of the Americans. The Americans are setting the stage for a major war with China with Japan on its side and whichever East Asian and South East Asian countries it can pull into its ranks.
 
Japan is the main assault force for the Americans against China. Japan’s military is being beefed up with American technology and weapons. Japan’s intention is blatantly displayed to the world by the appointing of Hawkish Defence Minister General Nakatani. The hawks are on the ascent. More military acquisition and building of military hardware like assault warships, aircraft carriers and a secret nuclear armament programme, ignoring the wrath of God with the crippling of Fukushima nuclear plant. All nuclear power stations must be run to produce the weapon grade plutonium for nuclear weapons production.
 
The Americans quietly acquiesced, not appeasement, by allowing Japan to retain 300kg of weapons grade plutonium ‘loaned’ to Japan for research purposes. What was the intent? These could easily produce 40 to 50 nuclear weapons and the only farce that the Americans are doing is to put on an act of wanting them back. Japan is also in possession of 44,000 kg of home grown plutonium from its nuclear power stations. How many more nuclear bombs could they produce?
 
Though officially not admitted, Japan could be in possession of hundreds of nuclear weapons today with the connivance and approval of the Americans. And the Americans are allowing the Japanese to rewrite their pacifist constitutions so that it could go back to its past aggression military adventure, to conduct wars.
 
What is happening to the remilitarization of Japan is more than appeasement but a concerted effort promoted by the Americans to use the Japanese, as a nuclear power, to contain China and to hold China at ransom with the threat of a nuclear war. It is easier to get the ambitious and conceited Japanese to take on China and let Asia burns.
 
The rise of a military Japan is almost complete with the rest of the world turning a blind eye and with the Americans providing all the assistance and approval for a Japan to return to its Imperialist past. Shinzo Abe is the new Adolf Hitler of the 21st Century. The world is being prepared for a 3rd World War by the USA and Japan with East Asia as the battle ground.

The end of Sinkies is near

Over the last few days Sinkies were being bashed by foreigners in the most unbecoming and digraceful way they could ever imagine. A Sambath Kannan from India, a VP in Deutsche Bank, wrote in Hsien Loong’s Facebook chastising and implying that Sinkies are a bunch of misfits that someone like him coming from a continent of slums and with half its population still squatting in the open to shit, without toilet facilities, could teach them how to work and live well.
 
And there is this Pinoy called Edz Ello, working in Tan Tock Seng Hospital, who wrote in his Facebook calling for the killing of Sinkies and to take over the island as a state of the Philippines. His defence is that his Facebook was hacked but netizens quoted him writing those insulting messages for several months. This makes his innocent claim a big doubt. The call for violence is unacceptable and seditious. The Police cannot fold their arms and look askance as if it is a joke like the Joker asking the daft Sinkies to laugh it off.
Threats of taking lives and hurting people are no laughing matter. I too received a similar threat by a Raymond and I made a police report when he cockily dared me to. No one is allowed to threaten the lives of any citizens or to cause him bodily harm and be able to walk away, and for some silly ass to say laugh it off.
 
Then in the Mypaper today, there is a picture of this huge and burly foreigner cyclist haughtily manhandling a local like handling a little wild animal. The facts of the incident were not fully reported but even if the driver was rude, there is no room for a foreigner to pull up a citizen in that roguish and humiliating manner. And the frequency of foreigners bashing locals is so high that it is very shameful. Why are foreigners allowed to threat locals like little animals? Who is there to protect the foreigners! Yes, who is there to protect the foreigners while the locals are being bashed by foreigners? The local shits are useless daft Sinkies that deserved to be bashed by foreigners?
 
In all these cases, the important thing is the thinking behind their actions. These foreigners, the India Indian, the Pinoy and the burly foreigner, are treating the daft Sinkies as irritants that should be gotten rid off. They have totally no respect for the daft Sinkies or the local law and authority. And they are right in a way. The daft Sinkies would not hit back and would allow themselves to be abused, insulted and beaten. And the law, the law to protect the daft Sinkies? I reserve my comments. No comments.
 
All I can say is that the days of the daft Sinkies in the little island they called home is coming to an end. They will soon be a minority, treated like minorities and not only that, regarded as useless pieces of wood or old furniture, to be thrown away and chopped and used as firewood. They are really daft and stupid and unworthy to be here, to be a resident of this prosperous island of super foreign talents. The foreigners built this island and are here to help them and to provide jobs for the daft Sinkies. Say thank you, go down on your knees and be grateful to the foreigners. Let them insult you, threaten you and bash you. And be very grateful for the privilege.
