Countries spy on one another – not just their adversaries but their allies too, said analysts after a trove of classified United States documents was leaked online.
“The fact that the Americans might be looking at some of their friends, that shouldn't surprise anyone,” said Mr Grant Newsham, a retired US Marine Corps colonel and senior research fellow at the Japan Forum for Strategic Studies.
“And the Americans expect some of their good friends, some of the names which came up in these recently released documents, they know that they are spying on the Americans as well. This is a game that's been going on presumably since espionage started.”
The latest breach appears to include assessments and secret intelligence reports that touch not only on Ukraine and Russia but also highly sensitive analyses of US allies such as Israel and South Korea....

Russians and Chinese expressed caution against being too distracted by those leaks, that may be generated with the intention to confuse. They already did that with the Nord Stream attacks, as exposed by Seymour Hersh, by generating the fake narrative that a pro-Ukrainian group of six men in a boat did the attacks. Experts determined that only a state sponsored outfit could have done that.
When John Kirby warned the MSM not to report on those Pentagon leaks, saying it is not for public consumption and ordinary folks have no business reading about it. Does that ring a bell? And when the USA is saying that it is normal for countries to spy on each other, Israel and South Korea can rest assured they are not the only countries being targeted. Of course, even Angela Merkel and Macron, very strong allies of the USA, were on the receiving end of USA spying. And the most ridiculous expose was that some EU countries are aiding the USA to spy on EU member countries. That by the way is how strong and united the EU vis a vis Nato countries really are. The USA had already been exposed long ago, so nothing new about the present Pentagon leaks detailing their spying activities. While countries being named on the USA's honours list can roll on the ground and fret about it, they can do nothing, as the USA tells them that spying on them is normal. They must live with it.
When the USA spied on others it is not a big thing and doggies are told not to bark in unison. Even doggies who were spied on, just sheepishly take it as a matter of course, with no barking back. Of course dogs do not normally bark back at their master.

The EU cannot decouple from China, and if they follow the USA into any conflict with China it will be a terrible mistake. It will completely destroy the EU, if Russia does not do it.

The Pentagon leak revealed nothing new that the world does not already know. The spying game, the dire situation in Ukraine are all old news. That it has been given a new twist of being damaging to the USA intelligence gathering is all a propaganda piece generated by the CIA, just like the piece about the 6 men in a boat doing the attack on the Nord Stream pipleline, fabricated just to throw off the link to the USA and Joe Biden.
