Actually the idea that Europe depends on the US for their security is a myth as good as Japan needing the US to protect its security or Asean needing the Americans to protect their security, from who. The only aggressive country that is conducting regime change and wars is the US.
Europe, Japan and Asean needs the US for their security should be read as 'to protect themselves from regime changed conducted by the Americans.' No one is going to attack Europe, Japan or Asean. The North Koreans are not going to attack the South Koreans. These are myths fabricated by the US to control these countries to the extent of conning them to have American bases in these countries.
Remember, Japan was an Empire, Germany and France were empires too. Germany and France are fully capable of defending against Russia. Maybe a bit outsized by the USSR. But there is no more USSR and Russia is just about the same size as Germany or France in population and wealth. China and North Korea have nothing to do about invading Asean. In fact China saved Asean from the then Vietnam that had already invaded Laos and Cambodia in the 1970s.
The Americans need all these aggressive myths and strawmen aggressors to frighten the countries they want to control and turn into their semi colonies. Period.

The modus operandi of the USA is to keep harping on the 'aggressive' Chinese behavior to frighten the doggies. Who is the one using aggressive tactics all around the world? Selling arms to others to fight for their interest, sending warships to provoke others, dictating and trying to teach others about human rights and rule of law, which they themselves do not follow. Are those not aggressive behavior?
Even stupid Little Britain talks about the China threat when it is thousands of mile away on the other side of the world. You see, only stupidity makes people believe in the lie sold by the USA. And there are many leaders of many countries still getting more stupid each day.
Why is Little Britain taking issues with China when it is tottering on collapse financially and socially. When is the MSM and Channel News America going to tell us about the strikes now ongoing in Little Britain? No news about that does not mean no strikes. Cover up all the like, but the shit will hit the fan sooner or later.
Little Britain would be sunk by its own internal problems. Sunak would help to make it sink faster.
Tell Little Britain not to worry. Nothing can help Little Britain now. It is already cast in stone, the end of Little Britain, taken over by its former colonies.
Brexit was a big mistake for Little Britain. The EU market is basically gone for manufacturers still functioning in Little Britain. Companies in Little Britain have little choice but to move into the EU to avoid all the red tape, and in order to benefit from the EU's bigger market.
What does this mean? First is the job losses in Little Britain. Second is the loss of tax revenue from those companies operating in the EU. That is what ails Little Britain's economy right now. Little Britain was doing quite well while inside the EU. Now it is not.
Oh, not to worry. They still have China to distract all the attention. And so they have to keep harping on the China threat. And that suits the USA doubly fine.
The USA had, during Trump's presidency, also been harping on North Korea's nuclear threat to the rest of the world.
Was North Korea really a nuclear threat, or is the USA itself the real threat? Had the USA and it's allies not conducted provocations around the Korean Peninsula, would North Korea be firing missile after missile to welcome them? And that is making the South Koreans and Japanese shit in their pants.
Of course, the USA is just enjoying the fireworks and any untoward consequences for South Korea and Japan is just collateral damage to them.
The USA and China may be talking about not thinking of engaging in a nuclear war, but China must never ever let it's guard down. The USA will unilaterally resort to it when it suits them. After all, they have been threatening to use nuclear weapons against China many times before.
Never forget that the USA is the only country on earth that had ever used nuclear weapons against another country, and it will not be the last. The USA can never, ever be trusted just by it's words alone. Any sitting President may say one thing, but another incoming President can overturn all of that. Just look at Trump tearing up one agreement after another when he was in power. Those agreements, even in writing, are just toilet papers to them, not to say even going to the extent of trusting their empty words.
The two Atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing hundreds of Japanese civilians, young and old, women, mothers etc, no war crimes. No Japanese ever dare to whisper a word about war crimes against Japan by the Americans.
Why?
In today's paper, the Philipines signing military pact with the Japanese invaders that massacred Pinoys during WW2 to target China. China should stop all aids and infrastructure works in the Philippines. They are not only ungrateful but very happy to make love with the two countries that invaded them and massacred hundreds of thousands of Pinoys, even colonised their land.
If this is not stupidity, what is?
The South Koreans are no better. Been colonised by the Japanese, treated like pariahs, bullied and humiliated by the Japanese, their women used as comfort women for the butchers in the Japanese Army, now sleeping with the Japanese and ganging up with the Japanese to want to kill and destroy their North Korean brothers and sisters.
Get rid of the United States of America and the whole world will become peaceful and there will be fewer regime changes.
