Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin insisted on an “ironclad” US commitment to defending Seoul
The US does not plan to permanently base “strategic” weapons systems in South Korea at this time, but will evaluate that position in consultation with Seoul and Tokyo in order to deter any attack from North Korea, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin told reporters at the Pentagon on Thursday.
In a brief press conference after his meeting with South Korean Defense Minister Lee Jong-sup, Austin mentioned a recent arrival of US “strategic assets” to the peninsula, prompting a question from CNN.
The above is reported in RT. The Americans have 'strategic assets' in South Korea and would move them in and out as they like. Supposedly these 'strategic' weapons are not based in South Korea permanently. They would consult Seoul and Tokyo if they want it to be permanent. Never mind if China, Russia or North Korea agree to it.
What are these 'strategic' weapons? Nuclear weapons? What is the difference between placing nuclear weapons in Cuba or Ukraine from placing them in South Korea? If the Americans would not allow the Russians to place nuclear weapons in Cuba, if the Russians would not allow the Americans to place nuclear weapons in Ukraine, would China and North Korea allow this to happen in South Korea?
I strongly recommend the South Koreans to agree to place nuclear weapons in South Korea. Japan definitely would agree to it. The reason is simple. If South Korea has nuclear weapons, then North Korea would have no reason not to drop nuclear weapons in South Korea. Then the whole Korean Peninsula would be a wasteland. There would be no Koreans, both North and South, left. Whatever left and alive would be anything resembling a human bean.
South Koreans, be brave, go for it, allow the Americans to place nuclear weapons in South Korea. Very good, to protect South Korea and to kill North Koreans...and vice versa.
Are the South Koreans that stupid to invite their own destruction and the destruction of the Korean people at the agitation of the Americans and Japanese? Both the Americans and Japanese would like the two Koreans to go to war and wipe out each other and they would watch from far away, providing more weapons, to make the massacre more complete.

As I have said again and again that the Channel News Asia is no more an independent entity. It is terribly bias against Russia and China.

Russia should re-evaluate placing 'strategic' weapons in Cuba again, if the USA does the same in South Korea. South Korea is as near to Russia and China as Cuba is to the USA, and that is reason enough for Russia to adopt a tit for tat stance. So does China start doing it in USA's backyard ie the Central American countries.
What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. China has not yet talk about placing strategic weapons in Cental American countries, even after the US and UK have already decided to place nuclear submarines in Australia. Who is provoking the proliferation of nuclear weapons? Think about it!
Now that they cannot exert control over North Korea, they are trying to drag Russia and China into their evil plans to split their relationship. It will not work, since it is the USA's provocations that angered North Korea. Why must Russia and China rein in the aggrieved party? It makes no sense and works the same way as China's stand on Ukraine. They tried ways and means to drag China into the Ukraine conflict, attempting to split the Russian/Chinese alliance. That has failed.
The days of their total control of their narratives on MSM has been well countered on social media, and their influence has been marginalised, and they obviously cannot now control the truth being dispensed by alternative voices. Moreover, since the Iraq War, people are wary of MSM cooking up propaganda and fabricating evidence to advance the interest of the USA and the West.
It is very obvious that they are trying very hard to demonise such social media sites from dispensing the truth by closing down sites that espouse the truth that they could not handle. Either that or trying to force such sites out of business by de-monetising them to starve them of funding. It will not work either.
The USA and the West have failed on many fronts and are resorting to desperate means like trade wars, biological wars and technology wars which they do not even have the upper hand and need to pull in support from their allies like Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.
The Germans knew that and are pivoting East towards China. More Europeans will follow when the shit hits the fan this winter and what follows into 2023. The USA is not seen as trying to help the EU, but instead pushing them underwater, and taking advantage of their misery by selling energy to them at high prices and using printed fiat money to entice the EU's manufacturing to set up base in the USA. The USA can do that with fiat money printing that costs little and trying to de-industrialise the EU to benefit itself. Is this proof that being friends of the USA is fatal? Think about it too!
Compare the USA treatment of it's so called close allies to Russia's treatment of humanity by giving free grains to the poor countries in Africa. That is what a friend in need is for. Not one that takes all the benefit but give nothing in return even to allies. Think also about that!

PLA on ‘full-time standby’ for war in Taiwan Strait against the US and allies
The People’s Liberation Army will be “on full-time standby” for a war in the Taiwan Strait, senior military leaders said recently.
“We must be fully prepared to respond to external interference and major incidents relating to Taiwan independence through non-peaceful means and other necessary measures, always maintain a high state of readiness, and be ready for war at all times,” the head of the Central Military Commission’s research bureau, Major General Liu Yantong, wrote.
General Xu Qiliang, formerly the party CMC’s top-ranked vice-chairman, urged the PLA to be “resolute” in crushing attempts at Taiwanese independence and foreign interference and prepare for a rapid transformation from peace to wartime. “Always maintain a high-readiness posture, like arrows on a pulled string ready to go, to ensure that the troops are prepared to fight at all times,” he wrote.
Xu also said China must make good use of the fundamental “ballast” in great power competition – the strategic deterrence provided by its nuclear weapons.
In his party congress report, President Xi Jinping set a goal for the PLA to “build a strong strategic deterrent system”.
Xu said the PLA should carry on with its “asymmetric countermeasures” approach, and “stick to the tactic of focusing on developing whatever the adversary fears the most”. Strengthening its strategic capabilities could effectively deter an enemy, he said.
The way things are moving, USA will be isolating itself if EU comes to it's senses. Why suffer for the benefit of the USA, with nothing to gain, and in the process gets sodomised by the USA in return.
The USA is not really helping the EU by coercing them to sanction Russian energy, but worse still is trying to capitalise on the misery of the Europeans by selling them very expensive oil and gas.
On top of that, to add insult to injury, is creating conditions for the de-industrialisation of the EU by luring Europe's industries with incentives to relocate to the USA. Call it hitting below the belt when Europe is hanging by a thread.
The free printing of US$ from thin air, that no other country has that privilege, is enabling them to do it, devising incentives to attract investments from Europe. After free loading over decades of cheap Chinese goods with fiat money, it is now free loading Europe's industrial base to the USA using fiat money.
Is this hell bent destruction of Europe the result of their realisation that the US$ hegemony is at the tail end of it's run? Make hay while the sun shines to attract as much investment as they can into the USA before the shit hits the fan, by madness printing of trillions of fiat money to drown the world?
If the South Koreans are so stupid to be manipulated by the Americans and Japanese to go to war with their brothers and sisters in the North, then the Koreans do not deserve to exist anymore, and it is good that they wiped each other out of the surface of this earth.
Japan shall be most eager and happy to see the Two Koreas gone for good. So will be the US. But, Japan could end up as the Dodo Bird instead.
With China and Russia backing North Korea, the Korean Peninsula shall become united as one in favour of the North.
And next inline for the United Korea to deal with shall be Japan. There is a debt to settle and it has to be settled sooner or later, nl rinning away from it.
