Americans freak out by visit of UN human rights chief to Xinjiang - fearing their fabricated lies would be exposed

UN human rights chief urged to resist US disinformation, deliver factual Xinjiang judgment - Global Times

As UN human rights chief Michelle Bachelet's visit to China's Xinjiang region is coming to an end, overseas scholars, especially those who have visited the region, called on her to resist pressure from the US and anti-China forces' latest round of disinformation campaign against the region. They pointed out that the US' contradictory attitude and attack of Bachelet's visit showed it's freaking out, as the big lie of "Xinjiang genocide" is "absolutely ludicrous" and anyone with no malicious intent will have different views of Xinjiang than the US' smear the minute they step on the region.

At the end of her six-day official visit to China on Saturday, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights is scheduled to hold a news conference and issue a statement, according to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

Detailed information on where Bachelet has or will visit in Urumqi and Kashi Prefecture and who she has and will talk to is yet to be released, but the US, some Western countries and anti-China forces just can't wait to express their "concerns" over whether Bachelet will have necessary access to make a "full assessment of the rights situation" in Xinjiang. The US State Department even called her visit a "mistake."

However, it was the US and anti-China forces that urgently called on the UN mission to visit Xinjiang in the beginning. Such a U-turn attitude of the US government toward the UN human rights chief's visit to China raised the alarm among Chinese and overseas scholars, especially those who had visited the Xinjiang region during the past years. Some scholars from France, the US and Turkey reached by the Global Times said pressuring or attacking Bachelet will not make their lies or the "genocide" smearing on Xinjiang become real, but only exposes their malice.

Jeffrey Sachs, a professor of economics at Columbia University in New York and also a senior UN advisor, wrote in an email to the Global Times that he is "gratified" that Bachelet is taking this trip and "her UN mission should not be attacked or criticized by the United States Government even before the trip takes place!"

Issues of human rights under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights should be addressed through the UN processes and "not used to raise geopolitical tensions," said Sachs, expressing hope to get a thorough report that promotes the wellbeing of the population of the Xinjiang region and enables a discussion of the issues based on facts.

In April 2021, Sachs and William A. Schabas, a professor of international law at Middlesex University in London, released an article to oppose the US government's anti-China rhetoric of claiming a "genocide" in its Xinjiang region, as these allegations are "unjustified" and the inappropriate use of "genocide" devalues the historical memory of genocide such as the Holocaust.

The US is pressuring Bachelet to act like its puppet and neglect what she sees in the region to weave the conclusion of "genocide," analysts said, pointing out that it is the US that started and continued accusing China of "genocide" and has banned all products from Xinjiang, making itself the most radical and highly isolated country in the field.

William Jones, the Washington Bureau Chief for the Executive Intelligence Review and non-resident senior fellow of the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China, told the Global Times the "total freakout from the US State Department" about Bachelet's visit indicates its potential significance."

When China earlier refused to let the UN Human Rights in, they criticised China like a pack of hyenas going in for the kill. When China did allow the UNHR in, they criticised the UNHR like noisy vultures picking the bones off carcasses. In other words, they already put pressure on the UNHR Chief even before her visit. Now, what effect is that going to have on the UNHR Chief, if I may ask?

This tactic had failed to work before when they tried to unsettle Russia and China before scheduled talks by veiled threats before their talks, intending to gain the image of superiority. Will it work now with the weaker UNHR Chief, when even the UN itself is undoubtedly under their control?

Now, if the UNHR Chief's visit cannot produce the narratives that they want or needed to condemn China, more accusations will follow, both against the UNHR Chief and China. In any case, China will be demonised rightly or wrongly.

I just wonder why the UNHR visit had been scheduled at this time, when the Xinjiang issue had already been comprehensively refuted and had been relatively quiet for some time. With the war in Ukraine raging and Russia having the obvious upper hand now, coupled with the pre war rallying cry failing to jell among most of the Asia Pacific countries against China, and the meeting of the sycophants to rally around to contain China a meaningless exercise in substance, more diversion is now needed and Xinjiang seems the only dead horse needed to be flogged to life.

It is correct to say that no matter how China reacts, in one way or another, the Hyenas of the Evil USA will be going in for the "Kill".

Regardless of what the Chief of the UNHR may say, they have already made up their mind what and how to respond. Heads I win, tails you lose! This is the modus operandi that the Evil US dwindling Empire has set up to demonize China.

Regardless of what and how China responds to the demonisation, the Evil Ones will not give up, but will continue to demonize endlessly.

This is the way of the Evil USA , both militarily and politically.

What then can China do?

There are many things China can do.

1. Strategically, continues to build-up her defences at a greater speed and prowess, in order to deter any aggressive actions without provocations.

2. Continues to build up the infrastructures for both China itself and the other trading partners, especially the Rail and Road.

3. Avoid any confrontation with the Evil Ones directly. However, one must never underestimate the Enemy, and therefore, one must be prepared for any eventuality.

4. Over time, China must and shall develop her own military powers both strategically and tactically, to such an extent that her Armed Forces will be able to handle any aggression comfortably without any doubt.

5. No matter what the situation may be, both the Nuclear and Military Options must be able to challenge and overcome the Evil US military and covert operations at all costs.

6. Lastly, China, being the World's Number One in global density, with the added advantage of numerical force, must always play to win. Never to fail again!

The one area that China and Russia cannot keep their foot off the pedal is upgrading their military deterrent. This is one area that cannot be afford to be left to the chance that one day there may be a time when USA and China or Russia can see eye to eye. It is too risky a chance to take. History creates lessons that must be wisely followed.

In the meantime, building up relations and forging bilateral agreements with weaker friendly countries needs to be continued and enhanced. Never mind if it is just infrastructure developments for those countries, as that will spill over into more trade and co-operation later on when countries see the relevance of developing such ties. Let those countries decide and not use force for temporary gains. They will never last long.

Violence will only result in temporary gains but permanent disadvantage. Doesn't matter whether it is the British Empire, the US, Communist Russia, or China.

Supporters of the world's number one terrorist state are also terrorists themselves.

The "War On Terror" as coined by the West, especially by the Bush Administration, is actually the reverse - the Terror of War. The US used it to terrorise each and every single individual organisation that is able to stand up to its terrorism.
