Pepe Escobar on Twitter X has reported that his 2 high level Asian sources said Israel F35 carrying nuke shot down by Iranian air defense (before it reach Iran airspace). Supposedly, to be an airburst EMP nuke to disable all electronics in Iran.
Scott Ritter has discounted this rumor by saying it was physically impossible for F35 to carry nuke in its internal bay, jets always fly in pairs & inflight refueling required. He said more feasible if F15 but they're not stealth and can be easily tracked.

Objectively speaking, among all the Islamic countries of the world, Iran is possibly the most technologically advanced Islamic country in the world today.

If my memory of history is not clouded, having studied a little bit of history in the mid-fifties about the Persians and their wars against the Greeks and Romans, it certainly is a testament to its military prowess and a legacy it still holds today. Such preoccupation with Iran by the West probably favoured the rise of China in later years.
China was the least expected to rise to such heights and according to Political Scientist John Mearsheimer, China is now a 'peer competitor' that the USA had never faced before. China is a competitor in every category - military, economic and geopolitical influence, in fact all round competitor and is taking on the USA in technology as well.
