CECA Effect - What would Singapore be like in the long term, 20, 30 years down the road?

Upon expiry of the 5-year CECA and resigning, India government will ask for more jobs right?. Initially signed in 2005, the beginning of mass import of them by converting all construction workers from Thai to India nationals, shipbuilding to India nationals, larger import than before of India nationals into IT, Finance/Banking jobs, then gradually you see a lot more of them in hospitals as doctors & nurses, in LTA, IDA, PUB, etc. stat

boards, R&D /academic institutions, restaurants & retails (correct me if I am wrong). There are also job schemes specifically for India nations such as SIA pilot training program aimed for employing SIA Singapore-India bound flight pilots, DBS special talent sponsorships/scholarships for India nationals (in IT right? Somebody can clarify and correct me) and not sure what else more.

In the 2005 CECA, india ask for 127 professional and semi skilled job types for a start right? Wonder how many now.

Are India nationals from India having the world class productivity, worker ethnic? I commonly read articles about them being 5 times slower than China in delivery (perhaps 3 times slower with presence of Singaporean supervisors). Our construction workers from India are renowned for poor productivity why continue to employ them (bcos of CECA?) when you have the very productive Thai workers that can help lower our construction costs thus our HDB prices! Do you think India national professionals and semi skilled fare better?

CECA has become a poor productivity (and perhaps quality) trap for our economy?

I thought Singapore is advocate for diversity? Why in many departments you see like 90% sometimes like 99% of professionals from one foreign country? What if they all coordinate to steal our data from database? Doing surface/fake work that one day crash our IT systems/infrastructure then you see 0$ in your bank account!

 
The above are two comments in a thread in TRE responding to a Simon Lim's article titled, 'More foreign indian doctors from India - I read it online with disquiet and trepidation that our Ministry of Health is looking to recruit about 240 foreign indian doctors from India.'


The discussions were mainly about the impact on Singapore and Singaporeans with this no holds bar import of CECA Indians in great numbers and across many professions. In this case, if the import of doctors in such numbers and repeated over time, how would it affect the medical profession and medical professionals. And not only doctors are recruited in large numbers from India, nurses are also coming in in great numbers. Would Singapore become more like another beautiful Indian city eventually?

 As expected, the US and NATO, the expansionists and warmongers took the opportunity to condemn Russia and to impose more sanctions, without know or did not want to know that the sanctions were against European countries in reality. Europe would be facing the worst sanctions of its kind, self imposed or forced upon them by the Americans and would be ruined for good.

And as usual, only American allies would open their big mouths to condemn Russia without wanting to know who started this war, who started to massacre Russian speaking Ukrainians, without wanting to know that the perpetrators were the neo Nazis, fully supported, funded and trained by the Americans and their allies.

And also expected, the whole world remained reticent. From Latin America, across the Atlantic to Africa, Middle East, Asia and SE Asia, no one is on the side of the warmongering Americans and NATO. Asean is conspicuously quite for good reasons. Why be a busybody on something that has nothing to do with Asean? Why support the warmongers and American expansion against Russia? Probably Asean has seen it clearly who are the real devils.

The Americans could still pretend to claim that the international community is behind them, but actually consisting of the 27 European countries that they have coerced into obedience and a few of their semi colonies in East Asia. 

This Ukraine War is actually the Americans/Europeans against the Russians and in a way against the rest of the world. The rest of the world have clearly distanced themselves from the warmongering Americans and tacitly supporting Russia and China, ignoring all the American sanctions.  If the whites succeeded in bringing down Russia and then China, they would once again rule the rest of the world and whack any country that disobey their so called farcical 'rules based order'. It would be the American Empire and hegemony 2.0.

Tucker Carlson - British civilised India and Indians

 

If you believe what Tucker Carlson said, the Indians owed their civilised ways to the British. To Carlson, the Indians could not even build a train terminal. And the British were benigned, took only what were necessary, and left behind a legal system, an administrative system, buildings and the English Language.

The Indians have a lot to thank the British for. Of course this is white men writing their stories about how benevolent they were. They were godsent to help India, civilised the uncivilised Indians. They did not brutalise, rape, plundere, pillage, loot or massacre Indians.

Listen to Shashi Tharoor, who once said the British only needed to pay one pound as a gesture for conquering India and ruling India. Now he is incensed by what Carlson said and poured out all the crimes the British committed against the Indians in India.

PS. When foreigners came into your country, killed and massacred your people and took over your land and everything, can that be benign? Were all the white colonisers benign when they cut up Africa and Asia to call it theirs? When the white men went to the Americas, Australia and Pacific Islands, killed and massacred the natives and took over their land and treated them as sub humans, were that benign?

Were the white Americans benign to the native Americans and took only what were necessary?
