On February 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced that the 2019 novel coronavirus, which was previously known as the “Wuhan virus” due to its alleged origins in the Chinese city, would officially be called “COVID-19” in order to avoid references to a specific location and prevent stigmatisation.

A month later, Anthony has decided to take to his Facebook page a month later to air his grievances about this decision. “The Wuhan virus is the Wuhan virus. The WHO no longer has any prestige and no one listens to them anymore, and yet they bothered to change the name to something that’s so difficult to remember.”

Edison Chen was politically sensitive about the stigmatisation of China and Chinese by the Americans. Though he was born and brought up in Canada, he still has pride in being Chinese.

Anthony Wong was dumped by his English father who left him with his mother in Hong Kong when he scooted back to England.  Did he care whether he lived or died? He was raised by his mother in Hong Kong and found success as an actor in Hong Kong. A few years back he traced his root to England, found his half brother, and left for England to become an angmoh. 'Part of a broader anti-China US effort'

At one level, Trump's move is about the coronavirus. Administration officials have been sharply accusing the WHO of missteps in the handling of the pandemic, saying it was biased towards China....

In particular President Trump has latched onto the WHO’s criticism of his travel restrictions against China. But at another level, this move is part of a broader effort by the Trump administration to curtail China’s growing global influence, especially in international organisations.

Above are two quotes from BBC showing how this double headed snake talked about China.  When he was begging China for help, for more ventilators and PPEs, he praised China. Once he received the help, he turned around to bite China like a snake does. How can this kind of people be trusted?

His failure to manage the Covid19 crisis, with more than two months of advanced notice bought by China in closing down Wuhan and Hubei, is now an excuse to attack China and put the blame on China. Many countries had the same notice period and did what they had to do to protect their people.  Trump ignored the threat, calling it a hoax, did practically nothing, and claiming that all was under control in the USA and would go away miraculously. Now the virus has hit the US with a whammy, with more than 600,000 Americans infected, with more than 30,000 Americans dead because of his miracle talks, he is now looking for a scapegoat instead of owning up for his own folly.

China had no early warning. The virus hit Wuhan like the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbour. China did not know what hit them and struggled to fight this devil like the Americans struggling to accept the truth in December 1941. Did China complain that it had no early warning, nobody told them that some evil men were going to hit them with the virus of unknown origin in an undeclared war.

American Surgeon General compared the American infection to Pearl Harbour. Bad analogy. The Americans had 3 months of pre warning that it was coming. They knew as much as anyone what this virus was all about. They were not caught sleeping.  They were caught with their pants down, with their eyes wide open. It was their arrogance, stupidity and mismanagement that let them to this predicament, the worse affected country in the world with many Americans dying due to the negligence of the Trump Administration.

It is God's punishment for the evil and wickedness of the Americans in starting so many wars, impoverishing people with wicked economic sanctions and killing and wounding so many innocent people, including children and women. The evil Empire deserves everything bit of this Covid19 pandemic. Stop blaming China, look at the mirror and see the horns on your forehead.

Trump may be the last President of USA as prophesied. Now that the Americans cannot call the shots in WHO, Trump announced that the USA would stop payments to the organisation. WHO should remove all Americans office holders in WHO.

Covid19 - Is community spread threatening Singapore?

Community spread of this virus is starting to grow in Singapore. The above map is from theindependent.sg. Just before April Fool Day, things were still manageable with the spread limited and community spread still traceable. With the current state of affair, the task of contact tracing is huge, extremely tenuous to think the team could trace so many people in so many places. And quarantine them is another mammoth problem.

There were 233 new cases on 12 April, 167 with no links and nearly 30 clusters all over the island. And on 13 April a new record was hit, 386 cases with 94 unlinked cases, ie community spread. How did we get here, from gold standard to becoming the epicentre in Southeast Asia. If the rate of infection continues to grow, we will be there. At this point, with such numbers, containment is not going to be easy, even difficult. Singapore is likely to graduate from containment to mitigation.

There is this fear that the foreign workers could pass the virus to their girlfriends and cause a new front in the homes of Singaporeans. Contrary, the foreign workers could be infected by their girlfriends and brought the virus to their dormitories, to Mustafa Centre. Strangely, the infection rate of domestic maids is very low. Is it because they were not tested or few were infected?

How did Singapore, the envy of the rest of the world just a couple of weeks ago, deteriorated to this sorry state of affair? No, things still under control, the spread is not serious?
