India still treating Bhutan as its protectorate, wanting to dictate its foreign policy

Natural for Bhutan to establish diplomatic ties with China - Bhutanese PM

In interview with Indian media, Bhutanese Prime Minister Lotay Tshering confirmed that a possible exchange agreement between land to Bhutan’s North that is under Chinese control, with Bhutan’s Doklam area, was amongst proposals being discussed. The agreement is of particular concern to India due to its proximity with India’s Siliguri corridor or “chicken’s neck” that connects to the Northeastern States.

He clarified that the “3-Step Roadmap” signed between Bhutan and China in October 2021 comprises first agreeing to the demarcation of the border in talks on the table, after which the two sides would visit the sites along the demarcated line on the ground, before finally and formally demarcating the boundary between them. “We hope to see a line being drawn- this side Bhutan and that side China. We don’t have that right now,”

The Indian media asked: Is Bhutan considering a change in its foreign policy too, to establish diplomatic ties with China, which is a permanent member of the UN Security Council?

Tshering says: Every country should have a dynamic foreign policy and adjust according to its interests. For Bhutan, with every change of government, our foreign policy does not change. Theoretically, how can Bhutan (as a sovereign nation) not have any bilateral relations with China? The question is when, and in what manner.

Good morning All

The Best Solution is for China to station a few of their PLA battalions into Bhutan.

You think the Indians dared to say anything and try to attack China?

Not on your lives.

They are just HOT Airs letting go their stinky gases.

Cheers

The Indians sent in 600 armed with sticks to attack 30 PLA soldiers in Ladakh, killing a few of the Chinese soldiers but claimed the Chinese attacked them.

I believe those states in Northern India and still under Indian control knows that their only hope for development, to move with the rest of the world, could only be counted on in the hands of China. India is not capable of developing those countries under their protectorate, not when India itself is devoid of rapid development and still largely mired in poverty. India is not going to pour money into any other country's development while letting itself rot, just like the USA. India has a huge problem on its hands with a rapidly growing population, the biggest in the world now.

Lets not talk about the 'increasing population dividend' touted by the West. A poor country can never benefit from any 'increasing population dividend'. Only rich countries can harvest that dividend. Putting the cart before the horse is not going anywhere. Tackling poverty must come first before talking about 'increasing population dividend' that comes with it.

Hi Anon 11.04

Understooded stooded past past tense.

That's out of 600 Indians hand guns eat Basmati rice, 590 killed and one released to go back and report.

30 PLA Shaolin Soliders only one or two killed as they fall down themselves into the Ravines and the Rest just bruises

That's shown the Might of the PLA.

Trying to retrieve one long ago video of those surrounding areas at the Himalayas between China and India's borders and the inhabitants there clearly supported the PLA troops that were on duty between them.

Calling them my children when they brought their extra rations to share with them.

The old folks even climbed up huhdreds of metres of the hilly mountains to give the PLA soldiers their crops of vegetables at their Base Camps in appreciation of them protecting them from the Indians side.

They claimed that they would prefered to be ruled by the PRCs than by the Indians.

Waiting for China to invent the drone flying guillotine - the flying hat with a bladed rim - that can land on the Himalaya enemy soldier's head and cut it off !
