young to go into learning and maintenance of all these systems.
Build up a core of skilled technical technicians and engineers.
Instead of spending on so much funds on outside contractors even in just maintaining the systems.
Possible in time to come even able to build or maintain for others.
But they thought that our present economy is good enough and goes Auto pilot with no future plans.
Only
main thought off is the Revenue in building more BTO flats and then
boost the POP to purchase them also in numbers to utilise our Transport
Systems to make them viable.
Just internal economy. But you must
also have enough good paying jobs for our own to be able to buy your
Flats and private housings.
You expect those menial gig gig workers on free lance and part time and no time to have the resources to buy them?
Only to have the rich foreigners to be citizens and buy them?

the 60s after Separation, then GKS and his cohorts in a way in
conjunction with all relevant Ministries had worked in unison for the
then Economy.
They encouraged the Singaporeans into technical and
production engineering education and be Production Engineers and other
so called blue collared workers with their attraction of influx of many
manufacturing industries.

of my generation as production engineers and technicians could even able
to have many assets of big HDB flats and even Condos and Landed.
Most had drove before in affordable cars and other vehicles.
Unlike today only on bicycles.
Think too late too little liao to kick start now their awakening.
Must
have reserve lands for our production of Essential survival rations
instead of just kept acquiring them for monies making BTO flats.
Land sales of high taxations in every corner of Singapore with non stop build ups.
That's their best plans of Revenue earnings and GST taxes.
MOT sell until all no more but they be not around to see the next generations of poors.

Same year of 1949 of their People's Liberation National Day.
Just to add does Sinkieland Leaders thought that China could uplifted their millions out of poverty by having the PRCs as menial gig gig gila platform workers?
They are now exclaimed as the "Factories of the World" with their Manufacturing Industries, their High Tech Construction Industries and also their High SMART Technologies.

Many Sinkies kept harping that we taught China how to build Pigeon holes.
In 1978 when they came here to so called look see look see and learnt how we built our Lego Same Montonous HDB Pigeon holes, Sinkies kept boasting that we taught them how to build.
My old time friend with HDB for thirty years and also had in a way liase and worked with them told me that as Quantity and Quality Surveyors, we locals had to use calculators to calculate whereas they simply just tell you on the spot the figures thru their mental calculations.
That's was in 1978.
See how advanced they are thru their educational studies.
Oops, maybe Chinamen only knew calculations well as even as children they knew how to collect monies for their parents mom and pop shops.
Good as businesses mem and women with their penchant for wealth.

We gave up on industry to focus on white collar services, following Yankees. We thought cheap industry can be exported to low waged countries like Matland while we "upscale" to services.
We become like the white masters, sitting in air-cond offices giving orders.
Today, we are beholden to white masters giving us business while industrialized nation China has surpass us & don't really need our services at all.
