Asian Games 2022 - Great moment for Shanti and Singapore
After waiting for 40 years since Chee Swee Lee won a gold in the 400m, finally another gold in athletics delivered by Shanti Pereira. She also won a silver in the 100m.
Well done Shanti.

After 49 years before we got another gold at Asian level. This shows how difficult it is to beat the rest of Asia. Of course there is an easy way out, just throw money around to buy gold medals from whoever is willing to sell.
At least Shanti and the other athletes deserved the medals and the rewards.
Despite all the hype about supporting seniors to be in good health, the govt just refused to support the seniors in any athletic meets. For our seniors to win gold medals at Asian and World level is also very difficult and needed a lot of effort, training and sacrifices, including spending a lot of money to keep the body in shape.
On the other hand the govt spent a lot to support the para athletes and paraswimmers. The conditions for the para athletes and para swimmers are quite similar to the seniors, the seniors are all handicapped by ageing.
If the govt can support the para athletes and para swimmers, why so stingy and mean and refused to support the seniors?
Seniors are not worthy of support? The votes of seniors also a lot but not important?

Not said I unpatriotic or sour grapes or bad hearted.
Sinkieland just had one small win in the International Sports became too overwhelmed with their person just a small win.
They will glorify her or him for months and years to come.
