Ukraine - The most civilised war

If one is to compare the brutality and wanton bombing and destruction of Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan by the Americans and the western powers, the invasion of Ukraine is like boy scouts at play. The damage and lost of lives in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan were in the hundreds of thousands, with indiscriminate bombings of civilians  and shamelessly calling them war collaterals, not human lives. This is how mean and cruel the Americans and the western powers were against the Muslims and Arabs, treating them like sub humans.

Putin's invasion of Ukraine was carefully considered and executed with great care not to harm the civilians. The attacks were mostly on military targets. The choice of weapons too were measured. Some civilian casualties were unavoidable as they were too close to military targets. But some were due to their role as human defence shields used by the Ukrainians, when they attacked the Russians. And worse, some were deliberately killed by the Ukrainians to blame it on the Russians.

From the very beginning, there were a lot of restraints placed on the Russian forces that were as good as tying their hands behind their backs. And they had to take several casualties as a result, not able to use all the massive fire power at their disposal, not allowed to freely fire at their targets, with great consideration to avoid hitting the civilians. Safe corridors were set up for the civilians to leave the war zones. Never heard of such things in the Arab and Muslim countries invaded by the evil Americans and the western powers.

With so much care and restraints, the accusation of war crimes against the Russians, the so called massacre in Bucha, civilian casualties, were laughable. Why would the Russians do such things in the dark? They could simply blast Kiev and all the civilian quarters like what the Americans did in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. And they would have suffered lesser casualties and Kiev and all the major cities would have been flattened.

The attacks and killings of Ukraine civilians were black ops as reported by the Ukrainians themselves, with Ukrainian dressed as Russian soldiers to attack Ukrainians civilians and booming civilian residential areas. Such allegations were standard playbook of the evil Americans, false flag incidents, fabricated lies, propaganda etc etc were all hallmarks of the American black ops operators.

The conduct of the Russian invasion into Ukraine is as civilised as one can get in a war. In many parts of Ukraine, life was quite normal. Even in the cities under attacked, there was no reckless and irresponsible and unrestrained bombings of the people. But the Ukrainians are showing how treacherous they are, with a very considerate Russian forces not blowing them up into smokes, they turned around to accuse the Russians of despicable acts that were either fabricated or committed by themselves.

And the Anglo Saxon devils are everywhere, doing what they knew best, thinking that the rest of the world are stupid to believe in their standard black ops and propaganda to demonise the Russians. If only the Russians were as ruthless and cruel as the Americans and the western forces, there would be no silly and mischievous Ukrainians to turn around to bite them. Ukraine were have fallen and the cities flattened, and Russia would have taken control of the whole country.

The hard evidence on the ground, the Russians have been extremely careful not to harm the civilians in Ukraine, and allowing them to flee before the bombs were dropped were reported in the msm. The Russians know that the world is watching and would not want to be seen to be as  ruthless and unprincipled as the evil Americans and the West. The accusations of massacre by the Russians is so ludicrous. Only the white face liars could come up with such a ridiculous lie.

The moral of the story is never to be kind to the devils, like never be kind to snakes. They would turn around to bite you for sparing them.

Over the years, the military forces of some Western countries have committed numerous crimes in killing Asian and Middle Eastern civilians with impunity.

According to some statistics, as many as 100,000 Afghan civilians have died under US gunfire, and a significant number of them are children.

Australian special forces have killed 39 unarmed Afghan civilians, including juveniles, by slitting their throats for "practice."

What's more, in order to obstruct the International Criminal Court (ICC)'s investigation of US war crimes in Afghanistan, the US government went so far as to restrict the issuance of visas for ICC staff and impose sanctions on the court's senior officials.

Indiscriminate carpet bombing in Vietnam, Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan, killing millions of innocent women and children is not a war crime? The use of Agent Orange alone in Vietnam is a war crime. But to the world's biggest war crime perpetrator, it was all collateral damage as they are not White lives and not worth investigating...

Dropping the two bombs on Japan, killing millions of women and children? is not a war crime? It was meant to save more lives they argued, but they forgot about those millions of innocent women and children that were killed directly by the two bombs But again, to the world's biggest hypocrite, it was just collateral damage as those are not White lives and not worth investigating.

When the ICC wanted to pass judgement, the world's biggest war crime perpetrator just brushed aside the verdict saying it does not apply to them.

Now they are twisting the arms of the UN and ICC to focus on Ukraine. Did the ICC in focusing on Ukraine, also in fairness, also focus on the genocide committed against the two breakaway republics? I am sure they would not because only Russia can commit such crimes, not the USA, not Ukraine and certainly not NATO that carpet bombed Yugoslavia and got away with it.

United Nations, IMF are redundant organizations. They are make use of by the US and has never being fair. They are toothless tigers and if not, paper tigers.

Dr Carol Soon, senior research fellow at the Institute of Policy Studies, said that the transboundary nature of cyberspace means that all local or regional conflicts now have the potential to reach an international audience....

She pointed out that the information war is not the outcome of a disinformation campaign that was launched overnight or when the war began in February.

“It is the culmination and build-up of years of hostile information campaigns. Russia’s persistent disinformation tactics to undermine political and civic discourse in Ukraine in the past years have been well-studied and documented,” she said.

Among the narratives pushed out by Russia are that the invasion is a “special military operation” to demilitarise and "denazify" Ukraine, that Ukraine was planning to use chemical weapons against separatists and that there is genocide in Ukraine.

The above is reported in CNA. See how bad the Russians were with their propaganda and narratives. This woman forgot to mention the Americans allocated US$300m annually to do the same and more. But obviously she has not heard of it. So she cannot say anything about American propaganda and narratives. She is right. She said only what she knew. Russians bad, Americans good.

That is why Singapore takes the side of the Americans against the Russians. Russians bad, Americans good. Americans tell the truth. Russians tell propaganda and fake news.

The IMF has such a bad name nowadays, known by many to be setting real debt traps for countries like Argentina. Argentina is a good study of how the trap works. Argentina had been paying back it's loans over the years, but the amount of debt has not been reduced. The Argentina currency had continually been depreciated, so the loan gets bigger in US$ terms. That is the trap they set and that is how they control countries that went to them for help.

When China started the AIIB, it was widely criticised by the USA and the West, as it was now competing directly with the IMF and World Bank. When China upped the game plan by offering loans to poor countries to develop infrastructure, it was strongly criticised and demonised to no end as a debt trap. But taking loans for infrastructure development and promise of economic progress certainly trumps taking loans to buy destructive weapons with nothing to show. Why would sensible countries opt for destruction rather than progress and a better life for it's citizens? The USA and the West is intent on keeping poor countries perennially poor, so they can be controlled, while China is helping poor countries to rise above poverty. China itself has shown the road to others by lifting people out of poverty, hundreds of millions of their own people, and it does not escape the attention of those poor countries in South Asia, South America and Africa.

Civilized indeed with Russia giving many Safety Corridors to the Ukraine Civilians for Safety.
Compare this with the US carpet bombings with high-impact arsenals in many countries since World-war II, the Contrast is stark.
Many countries invaded by the US are still suffering from the Atrocities of the Evil Supremacist Imperialism.
Especially the Nuclear Bombings of Hiroshima, Nagasaki and the Uses of Agent Orange and Napalm in Vietnam.

Why would Russia give safety corridors for civilians to leave the war zones? Russia knows that the Ukrainian Military is using those civilians as human shields, thus preventing the Russians from attacking the Ukraine soldiers hiding behind the civilian shields in hospitals and schools.

Had this been the USA or NATO instead of Russia, Ukraine would have been reduced to rubbles completely by now.

Russia could raze Ukraine remotely within hours if it wants too.
The Ukraine Boy Zelenskyy should know how merciful Putin is to him and his people.
However,
Putin must capture Zelenskyy and his accomplice and put them behind bars till they expire.

Russia's misinformation campaign has been well studied and documented for years? So says Dr. Carol Soon. Where was this Dr sleeping under all those years?

The biggest perpetrator of misinformation is the USA and did they do a study and documented those misinformation? How did the world invaded Iraq? And where were those WMD and biological weapons claimed by the USA?

And as pointed out by Anon 9.57, the USA openly claimed that they allocated US$300 million a year for the purpose of countering, which basically means manufacturing fake and fabricated news against China. Normal news does not need that kind of money to do a clean job. Open source sites and social media could do that for free.

After lying for the Biden administration for a stretch, their spokesperson, Jens Psaki is said to be leaving. I think, with Biden's sinking ship, the rats are basically beginning to abandon ship.

Do not expect the next one to be any better. because the only qualifications they look for and needed for that job is 'stupidity'. And that seems to be the case even with the President and his Vice President. Oh my God, what a choice indeed, especially the Vice President.

Empress

Mass testing is just a one time pulse check.

It doesn’t guarantee that those in the clear would not be infected the next day, or one week later, or one month later.

Sure, we can do total lockdown to try to stamp out an emerging outbreak.

But we can’t do lockdowns forever, when covid is becoming endemic.

And lockdowns are never perfect.

We need to eat. This means we need to keep the food supplies flowing, from land, sea and air.

We need medical services. From delivery of medical supplies to delivery of babies.

We need essential services. From power generation to clearing of trash.

We need emergency services. From fire departments to hospitals and clinics.

With the Omicron with a lot more asymptomatic cases, and highly highly infectious, the old test, trace, treat, plus ringfencing of contacts that worked for the Wuhan and some VOC variants would be too slow and cumbersome.

Yet we cannot lockdown forever.

But the Omicron is fast, with a shorter incubation. So we could perhaps do a series of short lockdowns to tamp down the speed of transmission as a practical alternative? Like a weekend curfew for instance? Like a tapping of the brakes to slow down a car that is getting out of control.

Just to slow things down to manageable levels.

But that is a waste of time, money, resources and opportunities if we do just that. We would be fighting the last war, using ineffective strategies.

Yet, we are also not helpless against the Omicron unlike the first 6 months of the Covid pandemic outbreak in early 2020.

Today, we have antivirals. This will help reduce the risk of severe illness to the highly vulnerable folks like the elderly and the immunocompromised younger folks.

Today, we have vaccines.

Shanghai will do well to step up vaccination of their seniors to reduce their death rates. Do that as urgently as they do the mass testing.

One PCR test costs more than one vaccine shot.

A series of PCR test does not reduce the risk for the individual, but a series of vaccine shots can help save lives.

Not just vaccinate with 2 shots of their Sinovac and SinoPharm, but fully vaccinate with 3 shots, and also boost with a 4th shot.

Better still, authorise the Pfizer mRNA vaccine as a pilot for Shanghai, to use as their 3rd shot booster for seniors who already have their 2 shots, to use for unvaccinated seniors who have not yet had their shots, to use as a 2nd booster for the immunocompromised.

Managing a highly highly infectious Omicron is not about controlling the virus.

Control and contain measures are to slow the transmission to buy time to bolster the individual and population defences with vaccination, expand the healthcare support facilities, and pivot to home recovery and care for the vaccinated and the lower risk young.

Yup, like most places, we try to encourage positive thoughts and actions during a pandemic, to keep the spirits up, to maintain unity of purpose in the fight against covid.

But in the fight against the Omicron, we must make full use of the tools, and tackle the problem at its core.

After all, we don’t treat flu as scary, right?

So we must do what we can now that we have the tools to reduce the risks of an Omicron infection.

With vaccination, we can reduce the risk of severe illness and death from 20 times that of flu to twice that of flu.

This saves lives, and enable the economy to re-open and function again.

And the Omicron is many times more infectious than flu.

And while milder, Omicron can overwhelm hospitals by sheer numbers. A small percentage of a large number serious cases is a large overwhelming number if we do not manage it.

So covid control measures need to be repositioned for a different purpose - to slow the pace of transmission to buy time for more complete vaccination, esp of the elderly but also of younger adults down to the 30s, and of the vulnerable down to the teens and kids whenever vaccines are ready and authorised.

The overall covid strategy should aim at protecting lives and livelihood, reducing the risk of deaths and severe illness to manageable levels, similar to flu or other general infections, while enabling the fully vaccinated to go about life step by step towards normalcy.

Find tactical reasons to nudge families to vaccinate and double boost their elderly, and to fully vaccinate and boost themselves.

Help save lives and transition towards sunshine.

"However,

Fully agreed!

Putin must capture once and for all this idiotic clown and put him behind bars for a good time to come. Or incarcerated him for good.

This is the only way to deal with this culprit.

"Putin's daughter Katerina Tikhonova works in academia and business

The US has imposed sanctions against Russian President Vladimir Putin's inner circle, including his daughters.

The list also includes the family of Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and major banks.

The measures follow new revelations of atrocities by Russian troops in Ukraine, including images of bodies of civilians scattered on the streets of Bucha, near the capital Kyiv.

Russia says, without evidence, the images are staged by Kyiv officials.

Even though satellite images have shown the civilians were killed when Russians were in control of Bucha, Mr Putin on Wednesday described the event as a "crude and cynical provocation by the Kyiv regime".

US Demands India Swap Russian Weapons Systems for US Armaments

US warns India over Russian weapons; Lloyd Austin told lawmakers that Washington will require New Delhi to buy US armaments instead

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said on Tuesday that India’s continued purchase of Russian weapons systems is “not in their best interest,” and that there will be a “requirement” that leaders in New Delhi swap some of these systems for US and allied armaments. India is the world’s largest military importer, and counts on Russia for nearly half of its external supply of weaponry.

Austin was responding to a question from Representative Joe Wilson (R-South Carolina), who described India as a “treasured ally” of the US and “the world’s largest democracy.” What, Wilson asked Austin, could the US do to convince “Indian leaders to reject Putin and align with its natural allies of democracy?”

Austin responded that the US has “the finest weapons systems in the world,” and would offer them to New Delhi.

“We continue to work with [India] to ensure that they understand that it’s not in their … best interest to continue to invest in Russian equipment,” Austin told the members of the House Armed Services Committee. “And our requirement going forward is that they downscale the types of equipment that they’re investing in and look to invest more in the types of things that will make us continue to be compatible,” he added.

The Empire would soon let the Indians know where they stand. Toe the line or else be sanctioned. India thinks it is a superpower. The Americans are using India and bearing with it a bit but when push come to shove, India would be told to obey, no buts.

India is a sovereign country. Why must a sovereign country cater to the demands of another country as to who it wants to do business with and what it needs to do for it's own interest? This is Mafia tactic that the USA has been using all over the world to cow smaller countries into silent obedience. Am I touching a raw nerve?

India is in trouble. When India bought the S400 defense system from Russia, the USA was already thinking about sanctioning India, but did not do it, as they were then cultivating India to counter China. India better not forget that after Ukraine and China, they may be next, QUAD or no QUAD. They should also not forget what the British did to them during their rule over India.

Pakistan is an example of a close ally of the USA before, and is now undergoing regime change orchestrated by the USA. All because Pakistan did not condemn, support the UN vote against Russia or took part in the sanctions against Russia. The most telling action was the visit of Imran Khan to Moscow to discus a pipeline deal, immediately after Russia's recognition of the two breakaway Republics in Eastern Ukraine. That obviously was the final straw that broke the camel's back and the USA is retaliating.

The USA had also been sending veiled threatening signals to India to tow the line. A year ago, they sailed a warship into Indian territorial waters without informing the Indians as required. They assumed they can do as they like. The Indians did not lodge any known protest and this has emboldened the USA, which is now resorting to open threats of consequences if India did not tow the line by condemning and sanctioning Russia and stop importing more Russian oil and gas.

But we all know what the real reason is. The USA is trying to force India to ditch Russian arms and oil gas and turn to them instead. Who can supply oil and gas cheaper to India is a no brainer guess. The Indians must be crazy not to hedge their bets, knowing that depending on the USA, as a friend, is fatal, while being their enemy is just only dangerous.

The USA is now deeply involved in what is happening in Sri Lanka and Pakistan. It is also involved in regime changes activity in Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand using the USA and Western Government funded Opposition political groups and NGOs, like Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International etc to stir up unrest. These are countries important to their grand plan of encircling China, and what they are trying to do is for a regime change in those countries so they can install their own stooges in those countries to enable them to control and carry out subversion activities in this region and counter China. That is what has happened in Ukraine.
