Nato Chief - allegations after allegations without evidence but lies after lies

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg told reporters on Wednesday that China has lent its support to Russia by spreading “lies and misinformation” about the conflict in Ukraine.

Above is a quote from RT of the allegation by Stoltenberg against China and two replies from readers chastising him of his whites.

tyke2939
There is so much disinformation coming from the west too and he knows it. What about the sailors who stood up to the massive Russian army and were wiped out according to our press. The truth was no one was killed and they were arrested and taken to Crimea. This was released in the American publication of "The Hill". The theatre that was bombed with 1300 women and children inside was huge news in the west, A Ukrainian source said there was 200 hundred trapped for a short time and no one died and one person was injured. You cannot believe anything you hear and see on the news these days especially after the white helmets performance in Syria where its just a movie production set to show the enemy in a bad light. There are atrocities going on in Ukraine but we do not need the lies to make things worse than they are.

Gargarin
The secretary-general is an enigmatic character. His press releases do not attempt to be balanced and much like most of the statements we hear in the media, they use megaphone diplomacy, with cynical language and combative rhetoric. There is clearly disagreement about the facts in much of these statements, the usa and its agents, for example. say that the Ukranian biological laboratories are for medical research, yet also admit that the usa has no citizens employed at these labs. The press release on the subject said that the usa merely provides funding, so if that is the case (truth) how would they know what is taking place in these laboratories? In any case, such matters obscure the main issue; while the nato secretary speaks about military matters, no mention is made of why the usa wants to destroy the Russian state. Clearly the Ukraine operation is a border dispute between two countries thousands of miles from the usa, yet the usa and its colonies have over-reacted with an economic war against the Russian state, with the goal of destroying the nation. No mention is made of the overarching commercial benefits to us weapons manufacturers, nor of the tantalising mineral wealth of Russia's landmass. The western press is blaming the Ukraine war for inflation, yet the usa economy was already floundering well before February 2022, with the usa deficit funding its military. Ukraine has long been described as having a corruption problem, yet the usa is channelling vast sums into the Ukranian treasury, that has in turn, allowed cryptocurrency as legal tender. The press statement from the nato secretary, always accompanied by a commanding photo in his best blue suit, is myopic in this regard, little more than a gossip piece. By focusing on short-sighted military goals, much of this chatter fails to mention the strategic goals of western aggression. Even when there is disagreement over certain facts, such strategic matters are clearly visible and open for all to see. Massive corporate lobbying, a runaway military budget, thrill-seeking public officials, and a one-eyed media combine to enrich a tiny percentage of the world population and drag the rest into chaos.

The American and western propaganda war machine has been on full blast setting out fabricated lies one after another and making wild allegations without battling an eyelid. The case of the 13 Ukrianian soldiers killed by the Russians and even honoured as heroes by Zelensky is really too comical and not even good for a laugh by a comedian. And they got the cheek to publish all these lies and disinformation and reported in all the western main media.

Then there was the bombing of the theatre, claiming thousands of people inside and many were wiped out but the truth, only 200 Ukrainians in the theatre and no one died but one injured. This kind of outrageous lies were spread world wide to discredit the Russians but only turned out to discredit themselves.

These main western media should be pofma for spreading outright lies.

“In war, truth is the first casualty.” This quote has been attributed to Aeschylus, a 6th BCE Greek tragedian noted for his “copious use of imagery, mythic allusion, grand language, wordplay and riddles.” It is only fitting, therefore, that the man who first gave word to the concept of modern-day war-time propaganda would see his quote come to life in the present-day Ukraine. The Kiev government and their Western information warfare advisers may have coopted all of Aeschylus’ playwright devices to craft a modern-day tragedy in the Ukrainian town of Bucha that exemplifies the notion of the lie as not just a byproduct, but also a weapon of war.

The main source of the Bucha tragedy reports is a videotape, taken by the Ukrainian National Police, of one of their convoys driving through a street in the town. A dozen or so corpses litter the roadway, many of them appearing to have been bound. This video has gone viral, producing a pandemic of anguish and anger that has swept over much of the world, capturing the attention of heads of state and the head of the Catholic Church alike, resulting in a tidal wave of condemnation and outrage directed at Russia and its president, Vladimir Putin. The cause-and-effect relationship between the video and the global backlash is clear – the former could not exist without the latter.

For its part, Russia has vehemently denied the allegations, and has requested an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss what the Russian Foreign Ministry has called the “criminal provocations by Ukrainian soldiers and radicals” in Bucha. The presidency of the Security Council is held by Great Britain, and the British mission to the UN has denied the Russian request, stating that a discussion on Ukraine currently scheduled for Tuesday, April 4 would serve as a forum for any discussion about Bucha.

One would think that the Security Council, which has shown a readiness in the past to meet on short notice to discuss the events coming out of Ukraine, would seek to accommodate Russia’s request on a matter of such importance. The goal of the British, however, does not appear to be the rapid search for truth and justice, but rather to buy time to allow the political fallout from the alleged massacre in Bucha to develop further.

One example of this tactic manifesting itself is the reaction of US President Joe Biden. “You saw what happened in Bucha,” he explained in comments to reporters, adding that Russian President Vladimir Putin “is a war criminal.” Biden took advantage of the Bucha crisis to advocate for the delivery of more weaponry to Ukraine. “We have to continue to provide Ukraine with the weapons they need to continue the fight,” he said. “And we have to gather all the detail so this can be an actual – have a war crimes trial.”

All this from the president of a country which has refused to recognise the International Criminal Court. For reasons which should be obvious to anyone willing to apply some critical thought.

Forum: Citizens need to understand why Singapore has taken a stand on war in Ukraine

Like Straits Times enterprise editor Li Xueying, Straits Times associate editor Chua Mui Hoong and Dr William Choong, I am perturbed by the views that some Singaporeans have been expressing over the Russian invasion of Ukraine and Singapore's stand on the war (Keeping sight of S'pore story as we navigate big power dynamics, April 3; Not pro-West, pro-China, pro-Ukraine or pro-Russia, just pro-Singapore, April 1; and Ukraine's lessons in total defence for Singapore, April 2).

On social media, I have read contentious articles and opinions that pillory the Government for being pro-United States and for imposing sanctions against Russia. Some fear the fallout from China, a close Russian ally, as a result of Singapore's alignment with Western powers.

Forum writer Ho Hoe Theng (Analyse issues objectively to thwart foreign influence, April 2) suggested incorporating lessons on logical thinking and differentiating between what is fake and genuine into the secondary school curriculum. I think Singapore should go even further and extend such lessons to those who have left school.

I worry that some tend to view issues in binary terms, and are more susceptible to disinformation campaigns that are highly emotive and appeal to their ethnic heritage rather than their national identity. Such campaigns have the potential to undermine societal cohesion.

That the Ukraine conflict has shown us the importance of safeguarding a country's sovereignty and territorial integrity seems to be lost on some. Perhaps, lulled by decades of complacency, they have forgotten how Singapore came to be and why we have pursued an unflinching policy of strong defence and astute diplomacy.

For the sake of Singapore's continued survival, citizens need to be able to see the wisdom in upholding such a policy and support it.

My personal view, this Singapore stand, to drop all pretences to be with the evil Americans against the Russians and China, is the most stupid position Singapore has ever taken. Period.

No need further elaboration. Every thinking soul would know what it means, other than the sycophants.

The current head of Pakistan military, Qamar Javed Bajwa, had trained in American and Canadian military institutions (a graduate of the Canadian Army Command and Staff College and the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California), hence he's very pro-US and eager to dispose pro-China Pakistani PM Imran Khan.

Nearer home in Singapore . . .

Why did the political masters allowed the current head of Pakistan Military to be in such a position to dispose off the Present Prime Minister?

How long haa he been there?

When propaganda and lies is used extensively, you know the USA and the West are really desperate and that events are not going well and according to plan. They practically have exhausted all their weapons against Putin and have no more left to do further damage to Russia. They do not know what to do and are just using propaganda, thinking it will work. Not in this age of social media, where open source information is holding it's own against the fake news generated by the MSM. People have learnt to be discerning, preferring to look elsewhere for real news instead of relying on the untrustworthy MSM.

Of course, those that swallowed the fabrication trotted out by the MSM before the invasion of Iraq will find no difficulty in believing the propaganda now regurgitated by MSM about Russian soldiers driving tanks over their commander, shooting down their own planes, poisoning their own kind, eating dogs because they do not like their rations.

As for the accusation of war crimes purported to be committed by Russian soldiers, have the ICC say a thing about Ukrainian soldiers using civilians as human shields, being issued guns to fight, and Ukraine soldiers purposely hiding their weapons inside hospitals and schools? In fact the Washington Pose and New York Times actually admitted all these things done by the Ukrainian soldiers. What about the earlier genocide in the two breakaway republics. No investigation needed as the ICC was deep in slumber and is now awake at the right time and place.

The economic war waged on Russia has failed big time. The Ruble is now as strong as before the war started. Joe Biden gloated that the USA and the West will bring the Ruble down to 200 Rubles to the US$ and collapse the Russian economy. The reverse is now happening. Not only has the sanctions failed, it backfired badly as the rest of the world have been alerted and awakened, asking will we be next. Countries are fast distancing themselves from the US$.

It must have really hurt the US$ so much that they even warned India not to undermine the US$. That clearly shows that attack on the US$ is their 'Achilles Heel' This is the only way to bring down the evil empire. Perhaps they are thinking of taking out India like they took out Iraq and Libya. India is in some difficulty right now trying to balance their allegiance.

UK Refusal to Hold UNSC Meeting on Bucha Allegations ‘Unprecedented’

"Besides the warfare, we have an information war, and the information war is raging. And we have evidence that that was premeditated, that was arranged by the Ukrainian information-warfare machine." - Russian Ambassador to the UN Vassily Nebenzia

The United Kingdom’s refusal to hold a UN Security Council meeting requested by Russia on allegations of atrocities in the Ukrainian town of Bucha is unprecedented in UN history.

"This thing that happened, that is something that is unbelievable and unprecedented in the history of the United Nations," Nebenzia said. Holding a meeting would not benefit Western delegations and the anti-Russian narrative that they promote, Nebenzia added.

Russia has factual evidence that proves that Russian forces have not committed the alleged atrocities, which it intends to present to the Security Council as soon as possible, Nebenzia said.

Lies repeated many times become truth. I am sure your PAP controlled CNA also publish many acts of atrocities by the Russian. People around the world these days are not so blind and ignorant to believe all printed in a state controlled media, unless you are a Singaporean, always kwai and obedient, after 60 over years of social engineering and mind control. Singaporeans believe everything printed in the States Times.

The best thing is for Russia to let them talk and accuse as much as they want and when it comes to the crunch, like actual hearing, just produce the evidence to silence them once and for all.

For propaganda war, Russia cannot beat them, what with US$300 million a year on top of what the Brits and Europeans are shipping in.

It is true that the Brits are the slimiest of the lot. Their offshoots, the USA and Australia are following in their footsteps. Birds of a specie do evil in unity.

In Iraq, they fabricated, accused, lied at the UN and finally got the UN rubber stamp to invade. Now they are probably using the same propaganda campaign, thinking Russia is like Iraq and Libya and can be stamped on as they like. A little identical Middle Eastern country like Afghanistan, with more tenacious people, and they could not even deal with farmers with guns, and have to withdraw after twenty long years in the country. And when it comes to a nuclear opponent, they could not even continue threatening without looking over their shoulders.

If the war continues, as it would likely be now, Russian style, the oil and gas issue will be a crucial factor for the EU and NATO. Forget about all the show of bravado by EU countries threatening with stoppage of importing Russian oil and gas altogether. It is all rhetoric trying to frighten the Russian bear. Where else can they get their replacement oil and gas and at what exorbitant price? Can it be sustained in the longer term? Take the USA that floated the idea of banning Russian oil imports, and asking the Europeans to follow, but behind their back are said to be ramping up their own oil imports from Russia instead. In this scenario, when the USA itself needs to import oil, can the USA realistically be able to step into the void vacated by Russia? The Europeans must be really myopic if they think so. Think about that!

At the end of all this, there may not even be a NATO to talk about or for Finland and Sweden to join. There will be chaos and protest in many NATO countries because of the energy shortage and inflation. Wait a few more months for winter and see the fun. Hitler's Nazi Germany and France's Napoleon found out what the real Russian winter is like. The Europeans will soon find out what their own winter will be like with insufficient oil and gas to tide them over.

Finland depends on Russia for 94% of its gas and 80% of it's oil. Sweden also depends largely on Russian oil and gas. Do we honestly believe Russia will continue supplying them oil and gas if they join NATO? Oh yes the USA will release oil from their stockpile, but again at what price are they going to sell to the Europeans and would it be enough. They think Putin is dumb and have not done his sums?

Why do they continue to call it 'unprovoked war'? Countries believing in that are just pretending to be blind after the Ukrainian Military continued attacks on the two breakaway republics, that were the reason in drawing up the Minsk Agreement, which agreement was totally brushed aside by the Ukrainian side under the instigation of the USA and NATO.

As those two republics have mostly Russian civilians, and since 2014, more than 14,000 have been killed by the Ukraine military attempting genocide against Russian citizens, Putin had to step in.

There is also the question of Ukraine being given the idea by the USA and NATO that it is able to join NATO eventually, which has crossed the Russian red line. Moreover, why are the USA and NATO stationing missiles in Ukraine if not to threaten Moscow. Putin cannot turn a blind eye to all that without taking action.

If the USA were as adamant against Cuba hosting Russian missiles, why should Putin not take a stand likewise?

The Bucha video certainly needs investigating into. And it was the Russians that called for the UN Security Council to call for an investigation, which was blocked by the British.

That is telling. If what the video shows is indeed true, why would the Russians go to the extent of wanting a UN Security Council investigation to prove it's authenticity and incriminating themselves? Isn't it illogical? For that matter, it would be the Russian who would block such a move if a UN Security Council investigation is called for by the USA and EU countries.

On the other hand, why is the UK blocking such a move as it is a chance to authenticate their accusations against the Russians. Isn't it strange? Unless there is something amiss with the video that the Brits do not want to be exposed. Think about it logically!

For those that believed the lies of the Iraq War, the West can continue to fool them with outrageous propaganda pieces that are now just as fictitious. They strange thing is that the fabricators of such lies have started to believe in them themselves. Lying is so ingrained in their mindset that the truth is just beyond their ability to handle at all.

For those that go to social media and open source news, they know those fabricated stories are more the make believe Hollywood stuff. Nothing of substance ever comes out of the MSM nowadays. That is why so much censorship is prevalent to prevent the truth from being reported on websites like RT.

There was a time when they said if you control the media, you control the minds of the people. For being one sided facilitator of propaganda, taken to the extreme, the MSM has now lost the ground to social media and cannot influence the well. That is why they have resorted to sensationalise, distort and selectively choose those news that they want the public to hear and even fabricate lies to gain readership.

There are always the willing and blind believers. They chose to believe and refused to accept facts and the truths placed right before them.

Like the bible said, have eyes but not see.

Yes, the Bucha videos are mainly fakes. They are not authentic!

Yet, the gullible PM is trying very hard to claim it openly.

Even without evidence, Joe Bidden is trying very hard to pin a collar onto Putin.

How is it possible for a liar to tell the truth?

An indignant Moscow has angrily demanded a United Nations Security Council meeting on Monday over the allegations of atrocities by Russian troops in areas around Kiev through the past month. Prima facie, this allegation is fake news but it can mould misperceptions by the time it gets exposed as disinformation.

A Tass report says: “The Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday that the Russian Armed Forces had left Bucha, located in the Kiev region, on March 30, while “the evidence of crimes” emerged only four days later, after Ukrainian Security Service officers had arrived in the town. The ministry stressed that on March 31, the town’s Mayor Anatoly Fedoruk had confirmed in a video address that there were no Russian troops in Bucha. However, he did not say a word about civilians shot dead on the street with their hands tied behind their backs.”

Even more surprising is that within minutes of the “breaking news”, western leaders — heads of state, foreign ministers, former politicians — popped up with statements duly kept ready and only based on the videos, seconds-long videos and a clutch of photos, ready to pour accusations. No expert opinion was sought, no forensic work was done, no opportunity given to the accused to be heard.

This is a pure and simple information war.

This information war is going all-out to prove that Russia, and therefore Putin, was the one that has created the information war. That being said, it means that it is Putin alone, who has caused the information war.

This is the most cunning move!

Whether Putin has caused the information war or not does not matter any more. As Joe Biden has put it, it is Putin that has caused it. No other strings are required. Simple as that!

It seems that there are now two separate wars being fought.

One by the Evil US Empire, led by the Ukrainians, and the other by the Russians.

One can never be reconciled with the other.

Whoever wins this war, is the one that is going to prove that Ukrainians are the ones that have sacrificed, not the Russians, even though the Russians might have been the ones that have fought doubly or triply hard!

So, what is the use of diplomacy and propaganda? They are of no more consequences than what they have been sat out to be.

This is nothing but pure and simple one-sided information warfare!
