Heng ah, no crooked bridge

The mad rush at the Causeway just before the lockdown of Malaysia was a pathetic sight to behold. Ordinary citizens from both sides of the Causeway scrambling to get back to Singapore for a simple reason, to work and to put food on the table. The jams, the frustration were all worth it if they could get to Singapore in time, never mind the inconvenience, never mind having to lug their luggages and whatever, never mind if they have to walk across the Causeway on foot. It was a great relief for those that made it. For those who could not, Singapore was two weeks away if nothing changes or could be longer.

Many must be very grateful that the Causeway was there to allow them to walk over when the cars and buses could not be of much help. Walking across the Causeway was much faster and convenient than be caught in the massive jam and vehicles crawling at ant speed. Many must be saying thank God they did not have to climb the long and winding crooked bridge that was supposed to replace the Causeway. The height and steep gradient, and the length of the proposed crooked bridge were obstacles that made walking an impossibility even if they wanted to. The crooked bridge if built would be a cruel joke on a time like this when people needed to just walk across the straits.

With this harrowing experience, would anyone still think the crooked bridge was a good idea and would want to revive it when another joker comes to power? Is there something to learn from this difficult experience of the people that needed to cross the straits? Singapore side has a lot to learn on what it is like in an overcrowded island with 5.6m population and whether it is a foolish idea to make this bigger. The Malaysia side would have to ponder if the idea of a crooked bridge should be history, like the idea of a 6.9m population with some crazies saying 10m or 20m also can.

What do you think? Should the people from both sides of the Causeway heave a sigh of big relief that this Covid19 pandemic is a valuable lesson for the megalomaniacs not to push their luck too far. Things can get worse than this.

Wikipedia - MRL East Coast Rail Link - The East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) (Malay: Laluan Rel Pantai Timur) is a planned standard gauge double-track railway link infrastructure project connecting Port Klang on the Straits of Malacca to Kota Bharu in northeast Peninsular Malaysia. The railway link infrastructure project would have carried both passengers and freight from the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia to its East Coast and vice versa. The project forms part of China's Belt and Road Initiative.

All these mad sufferings because of just a Decision by the High and Mighty sitting in their Ivory Towers.

Worse been put there in these positions by the same very people that are now struggling in this sad scenario because of their draconian decision.

Just for a tick for tat childish trivial past bad blood in the past.

Never learnt to let go.

Sinkiekand had only declared that the Land checkpoints would be still open for both sides to commute.

Only ASEAN as well as some other counties by other modes of transportation and travels to be banned.

They purposely played tit for tat bu just giving a short day's notice to close down the land checkpoint.

So petty and childish! Never think of the sufferings of their own citizens who are been maganimously given employments by Sinkies bosses rather than their own citizens and fellow men and women to lower their unemployment statistics.

Just to make things difficult for Singapore. In a way using psychological tactic to frighten Sinkies.

Cutting off supplies and what's not.Wanting our PeeAyam to call and talk terms. Just one up on you.
Egositics and pompous behaviours.

Now, they even relaxed that they will allow the own Mats to work in Sinkieland.

Sinkies of today's generation that do not know of our past bad blood or relations witt them are putting themsleves in danger of been hasssled without knowing what's hits them.

So, must study more of own history and past. The older generation must also passed on the happenings of the turbulence history between Mat Land and ours so that they are prepared for any eventuality.

You must be fair and upright in your thinking.

Facts are facts

Hypocrisies are hypocrises.

No doubt have sanctuary there but must also tell rights from wrongs.

That's the reason why sanctuary there.

In case the Mats turned drastic with their UMNO and PAS extremists shut down Sinkieland.

At least have chance to survive.

Only foolish idiots like you leave your fates to Gods and others hands.

Which they might NOT save you.

Important Lesson For War Planning - Chaos At The Causeway

There is a serious implication and an important lesson to be learnt here.

The lock-down order given by the Anti-Chinese Racist, Power-Grabbing Opportunist, Sabotage-king and Traitor of Dr Mahathir, PM-BY-FLUKE is tantamount to a Declaration of War against Singapore - effectively pushing the Singapore Government and Singaporeans into a corner, with a very unreasonable short 24-hour's notice!

Good neighbours do not act in such a manner to each other.

Moreover, the coronavirus situation has been there since December 2019. It does not happen just yesterday. The Malaysian leaders have been taking it too easy, allowing precious time to combat the Covid19 epidemic to slip away, taking minimum actions instead of mounting a serious and determined response to this epidemic/pandemic.

The PM-BY-FLUKE seems to be trying out a dry run to gauge the extent of chaos and confusion that would happen if Malaysia were to Declare War on Singapore.

Singapore must take this as a lesson and be prepared for war time chaos at the two Causeways. With civilians rushing to cross on either sides, troops movements would be greatly impaired. Therefore, any military plan cannot be based on the use of the two Causeways. Other forms of force-projection have to be considered. In addition, a successful initial air campaign is of paramount importance to ensure minimal casualties on the ground.

Malaysia's crooked bridge was deliberately planned with military aims in mind, in preparation for future military conflict with Singapore. This is quite obvious. Otherwise, no sane person would intentionally build a crooked bridge to impede movements.

Bridges are meant to facilitate movements!

With more than 350,000 Malaysians working in Sinkieland, that is a massive figure. Needless to say, both sides needed each other. Sinkieland needs their water and agricultural products, Matland needs the jobs for it's citizens.

And jobs that pay much more than those in Matland, probably a much needed help to the Malaysian economy as well. Do they really want these people to go back to jobs in Malaysia. I doubt!

Can we say it is a lopsided dependence? Hardly!

Plenty of fertile and imaginative mind around.
To kill an ant, no need for a hammer, not even any weapon. Just press a finger and crush it, job done.
Having a sanctuary in the Land that one expects to turn against ones' Motherland for safety sake.
This must be the greatest nonsense excuse.
lt is not April yet, fren.

True blue Singaporeans LOVED their Motherland, just like the PRCs.

But, if their own Leaders were to abandon them without considerations for them, then it's their survival route to abandon their Motherland.

Only dafts will wait for their Deaths.

Both me and my son served National Se-vice without a whimper.

I, first batch, blurred like sotong went in without knowing what's in store for us in 1967.

Also, our family, dead poor. cannot even out to earn some monies for family. Even before All Level results in Dec, kena tarik in.

At that time, wah piang, Indonesians confrontation some more. At S$60.00 per month. Never even chow peng. Left knee badly injured at six feet obstacle wall. Daft like LYK said route march next day fearing to see Doc as Inche at that time will torture you that you hope never to be born.

Now sins of the day came to haunt me. Pain like hell. SAF got veterans medical aids???

Son will went in for two and a half at that he is a Corporal and Above. Rest just two years and now even less. White horses, good lives special. Even their blue eyed children that brought some glory to their egos like Joseph Schooling also can deferred till exemption.

Others, own true blue Singaporeans children served and maimed and died in service.

So, if our Great Leaders do not take care of us in having priority in having ourselves, our children and grand children the benefits of citizenship. So, then what the HELL we are here for???

So, Singaporeans must unite and take back our beloved Nation as what's our forefathers and we and our children slotted for!

Cheers
