Covid19 - India is not as bad as the USA

 

 Numerically speaking, India is not such a basket case as far as infection is concerned. The USA has a population of about 330m and an infection of 33m.  This is just about 10% of the population.

India has a population of 1.3b and an infection of 26m giving an infection of only 2%. 

Even in terms of death, USA has about 600,000 death compares to India's nearly 300,000 death. So what is the problem with India compares to the USA? Perhaps it is because the death were not managed properly, not disposed off orderly, and over a short span of time, giving the impression that there were a lot of death.

OK, India may be under counting, not transparent. So what is new? The Americans are also under counting and not transparent and were miscounted as dying from flu not from Covid19.

Looks like the problem in India is a management problem with the Modi govt not handling the situation well and also because of a shortage of hospital beds and equipment and a shortage of oxygen. The people are dying because of mismanagement, because of lack of oxygen, not necessary and could not have died.

So India, no need to cry father, cry mother.  The USA is many times more serious than India. They are just good at cleaning up their shit unlike India, where even ambulances are short and no big containers to keep the dead bodies.  

Modi should wake up and start to do something about the situation, help the people to take care of the dead bodies and make sure oxygen is available to those that needed them.

COVID-19 Pandemic: Latest Wave Of Infections Is Due To The Stubborn Foolhardy Open-Leg Policy

 

"Singapore reported 30 new community COVID-19 cases as of noon on Friday (May 21), said the Ministry of Health (MOH).

Twenty-two of the community infections are linked to previous cases, while eight are currently unlinked. Among them, 17 cases had already been placed on quarantine earlier, said the ministry."

What the report did not tell us are:

Fact 1: 30 cases, out of which 22 are community infections.

Deduction 1: That means that 8 cases are imported infections. This means that some airport staff, immigration officers, nurses doing the COVID-19 swaps, airport helpers, airport police, eating places and shops in the airports, taxi drivers, hotel staff and travel guides may have already been infected.

Conclusion: Infected persons are still being imported into the country in order to give the COVID-19 coronavirus (probably the B1617 series from India and other South Asian states) a chance to spread in Singapore and create more sufferings for Singaporeans? This must not be allowed to go on indefinitely. It has been going on for far too long already. It must be stopped immediately.

Fact 2: 22 community cases, 17 have been placed on quarantine earlier.

Deduction 2: That means 5 of the infected were not quarantined and left free to roam, to spread the disease in the wider community.

Conclusion: This means the present safety measures are truly inadequate and needs urgent fine-tunning immediately. No more dragging the feet.

Fact 3: 22 community cases, out of which 8 are not linked to any existing clusters.

Deduction 3: That means the 8 unlinked cases are not connected to any existing clusters and, therefore, they could have formed new clusters in other places that the present faulty detection system is not able to detect.

Conclusion: A reactive, wait and see monitoring system can never nip the virus in its track. The best it has been doing is to chase after blue-ass flies.


Recommendation:

It is high time, the supreme authority of the land comes down to earth and use more practical and more effective common sense, instead of listening to the faulty advice of the so-called experts, who are no experts in this COVID-19 Pandemic whatsoever. They are merely making educated guesses at best.

Plan for S'pore quarantine hub to ease Aussie log jam

 

Couple months ago, Aussie media were saying the Morrison government was working on an ambitious plan that would establish Singapore as a quarantine gateway, holiday destination and potential vaccination hub for returning Australians, international students and business travellers.

The deal would help clear the log jam of approximately 40,000 Australians stranded overseas, boost tourism to Australia from Singaporean nationals – and third countries down the track – and kick-start the multibillion-dollar market for international students at Australian universities, which has been smashed by border closures.

Multiple Morrison government sources, who asked not to be named so they could discuss details of the proposal, told The Sun-Herald and The Sunday Age Trade Minister Dan Tehan and Government Services Minister Stuart Robert were driving the plan and leading behind-the-scenes policy work.

Under the plan, Singaporean nationals who have had their vaccination would be able to travel to Australia for work, study or holidays without having to complete two weeks’ hotel quarantine.

It could also be possible for people from third countries to enter Australia via Singapore after completing two weeks’ quarantine in the city-state.

The use of Singapore to bring Australians home and to restart tourism and business travel would significantly ease pressure on the states’ hotel quarantine systems and the federal government’s Howard Springs facility.

For Singapore, the proposal would bring in revenue for its hotel operators and the broader tourism sector, as well as ensuring it maintained its status as regional hub for flights.

PS. The above concept is not the same as air bubble where citizens of both countries can travel to the other country under a quid pro quo arrangement. The planned concept is to turn Singapore into a leper quarantine colony. Every leper, covid infected person, can come here and get quarantined before certified free to proceed to Australia. If more covid infected persons are here, all the way from the airlines, airport, buses/taxis they took to the quarantine centres, plus the air, would be infected with Covid virus.

Genocide, discrimination and slavery of the Palestinians

 The plight of the Palestinians, since the British and Americans carved out their land for the European Jews in 1948, is worse than genocide. Their land were stolen from them, they were under lockdown in their own country, now left only in small pockets and a stretch called Gaza Strip, the rest occupied by the aggressive Jewish intruders/invaders. Israel's Iron Dome defence - A modern day miracle of the Chosen Race

 

How effective is Israel's Iron Dome anti missile/rocket defence system? If we are to believe what is being printed by the western media, it is as good as 90% effective, ie Israel claimed to have shot down 90% of the rockets launched by Hamas. How believeable is this claim?

Look at the numbers, Hamas claimed to have launched more than 3,000 rockets into Israel. Some sources said 4,000 rockets were fired.  Ok, plus and minus, about 3,000 is about just right. If Israel's claim of shooting down 90% of the rockets it would mean about 2,700 rockets intercepted. It would also mean that Israel fired at least 3,000 missiles. It could not be that every missile would hit its target.

Question, does Israel have 3,000 missiles to fire and how much does each missile cost? Assuming each missile costs US$100K, 3,000 missiles will cost the Israelis US$300m! If the price is double, it would mean US$600m!

Does Israel carry 3,000 missiles in its inventory and all ready to fire?

The next question, under normal operation, it would be considered very successful if the hit rate is 50%. Assuming that this was the case, a very generous hit rate, it would mean 1,500 rockets got through. Assuming 50% of these rockets hit their targets, it would mean 750 targets destroyed or damaged. 

What is the true picture of the success raid of the Hamas rockets and how much damage did they do to Israel? And how many rockets were really intercepted successfully? Israel reported only 12 casualties. This means that either the rockets were all duds or blanks, or the chosen race are protected by God and nothing can kill them. This is a real miracle.  3,000 to 4,000 rockets could only killed 12 people of the chosen race!

Can you imagine what the sky would look like with a few hundred rockets flying at one time and equal number of anti rocket missiles flying at them? The picture above at most showed about 30 anti rocket missiles in the sky. The rockets coming in were too small and no smoke trail and thus difficult to see.

How successful was the Hamas rocket attack on Israel?

The moral of this genocide on the Palestinians is that no country must be allowed to possess overwhelming military superiority, especially in weapons and fire power. Countries like Israel and the USA think with their fire power, they can kill and destroy their enemies without themselves being destroyed.  That is the main reason why the Americans would not allow North Korea, Iran or any of their enemy nations to have nuclear weapons while they want to have all the nuclear weapons to destroy their enemies. It is also the same thinking in the Israelis, everyday thinking of destroying the neighbouring Arab countries when the latter became stronger, and also wanting to destroy Iran's nuclear sites.

All because they are more superior in military and think they can hit others, others cannot hit back. If they are not militarily stronger than the Arabs, they would not dare to think of attacking others. Now they are calling the shots, when to stop killing the Palestinians and no country can stop them from doing so with the Americans and the West backing them up. The Arab countries and Iran must acquire more military weapons if they want peace and not be victims of American/Israeli strikes and genocides.

Singapore: A COVID-19 Halfway House In The Making

 
After one and a half years of economic downturns, and after spending more than $100 billion of hard-earned taxpayers' money in the Reserve, the world-best super talents of Singapore are desperate, very desperate.

They are now in the process of turning the tiny island of Singapore into a "Lepers Island", where all potential lepers are sent to, for quarantine, until they are proven "cleaned", before they are allowed to proceed forth towards their destinations. A COVID-19 Halfway House of sorts.

It's all about the economy. It is all about money. Money is more important than preventing, protecting, preserving and saving their own citizens' lives, their own citizens' children and their own citizens' children's future.

If the economy tanks, no amount of safety measures implemented against the COVID-19 coronavirus for the safety and health of the country men, women and children can save them from the ultimate misery and suffering.

If the economy fails, thousands of jobs will be lost, foreign talents will desert, foreign investments will escape, and even some local talents and leaders will abscond. The suffering will be immense.

If the economy collapses, the whole country collapses. It becomes a failed state. It becomes a shame, a disgrace, a laughing stock and horrendous experience for the elites as well as the majority or the commoners through no faults of theirs. The suffering will be unimaginable.

There are some fake leaders who always talk about reviving the economy while the COVID-19 Pandemic is still in existence, still in progress, still marching on and still rampaging. But the beauty of it all is that they don't even have a single clue as to how to go about doing it, how to revive the economy while the COVID-19 is still very much alive. How to have the cake and eat it, so to speak.

There are some fake leaders who are quick to parrot other leaders' use of the phrase "coming back stronger" but how do you come back stronger when you don't even know how to come back in the first place?

So, the best they can do is to grab at any straw that floats towards them. In other words, they will seize any opportunity that may accidentally or incidentally comes across their paths.

So, now that some countries like Australia and Japan are presenting the idea of using Singapore as a Covid Quarantine Station (CQR) for foreigners who wish the visit their countries, the desperate world-best super talents quickly seize the opportunity, and so Singapore is now on its way to become the first (or the only) world-best COVID-19 Halfway House!

The handling of this Pandemic by the 4G leeders has gone from bad to worse.

Singapore now ranks number 2, behind UK in terms of number of infected with the B1617 series per million population.

No one can claim that because there is no hindsight that's why he cannot perform competently and decisively at the early stage.

A good leader uses foresight, not hindsight, because in any situation, there is no such thing as 100% information at hand. Usually, a good leader makes his decision based on 60% to 70% information available, which is the best one can get in all situations, if you are lucky.

Those who want to make use of hindsight to make good decisive decisions are not leaders, but followers. Such people are reactive, not proactive. Such people cannot become leaders, no matter how well they have been propped up and how high they have been promoted to. No matter what background they may come from, also.

True leaders are proactive, not reactive.

Diamonds are diamonds. They will never crack under extreme pressure.

Glass are always glass. No matter how you treat it, under high pressure they will still crack miserably.

So, those glass materials put up on display as diamonds can be easily seen through, and exposed, the moment they crack! In this Pandemic, sad to say, most of the displayed glass materials have cracked!

Covid-19: No Such Thing As Singapore Variant, All New Variants Are Exported From India To Singapore!

 

The Singapore Ministry of Health (MOH) has refuted news reports in India claiming of a "Singapore variant" of the coronavirus that causes Covid-19.

MOH said that there is no truth whatsoever in the assertions found within the news reports in India.

“There is no ‘Singapore variant’,” MOH said in a statement issued on Tuesday night (18 May 2021).

The ministry was referring to two reports published in India on 18 May 2021.

The first was in 'Hindustan' , an English-language news daily, with the headline "Coronavirus Variant Found in Singapore Can Be India's 3rd Wave, Extremely Dangerous For Kids, warns Arvind Kejriwal".

The other falsehood was publicised on NDTV, titled “Stop Singapore Flights: Arvind Kejriwal To Centre Over New Covid Strain”.

New Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on 18 May has warned of a new strain of the coronavirus found in Singapore and said that it can result in India's third wave of infections.

The virus, Kejriwal said, is extremely dangerous for children and he asked the central government led by India's prime minister Narendra Modi to immediately halt air services with Singapore and prioritise vaccination drive for children.

"The new form of coronavirus in Singapore is said to be very dangerous for children. It could reach Delhi in the form of a third wave. My appeal to the Central government:

1. Cancel all air services with Singapore with immediate effect.

2. Work on vaccine alternatives for children on a priority basis," the Delhi Chief Minister posted on Twitter in Hindi.

He is from Aam Admi Party, which is a rival of Mr Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party.

In its response, MOH said: “The strain that is prevalent in many of the Covid-19 cases in recent weeks is the B1617.2 variant, which originated in India.

“Phylogenetic testing has shown this B1617.2 variant to be associated with several clusters in Singapore.”

Comment

It is very clear that this new B1.6172 Variant has originated in India and has been transferred, exported, transmitted, distributed, conveyed, or carried in persons to Singapore. It is not the other way around.

Those who said there is a new Variant from Singapore going to India are spreading falsehood.

Such lies must be stopped!

Covi19 - Singapore still assessing Sinovac. Can you believe it?

 

SINGAPORE — The Singapore government is continuing to assess the use of the Sinovac Biotech COVID-19 vaccine, with its current stock having a shelf life of two years, said a Ministry of Health (MOH) official on Tuesday (18 May).

"The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) continues its evaluation with a view towards hopefully approving it for use on Singaporeans. But they still have a few outstanding items of information they require from the manufacturer in order to be assured that the vaccine is both safe and effective," said MOH's director of medical services Kenneth Mak at a multi-ministry taskforce press conference.

Singapore received its first shipment of the Beijing-based pharmaceutical's CoronaVac vaccine in February, with some 200,000 doses delivered. The vaccine has yet to be approved for use by the HSA.

 

The above is from CNA. I cannot believe that after so long, Singapore is still assessing the Sinovac vaccine. I smell a strong stench. Did anyone smell anything? No, it is not from keeping the vaccine for so long, it is not coming from the vaccine.

I am still waiting for this vaccine. I don't trust the mRNA vaccines and all the sales talks. I believe many people are also waiting for this more reliable traditional method vaccine.

Why are they taking so long and got so many questions and issues tot ding dong about? What is going on? Sniff, sniff...quite a fishy smell.

Anyone knows what is going on? Why is it so difficult to approve a vaccine that half the world is using it and with no problems? I will volunteer to take the jab, I will sign the indemnity form as well. Would that be ok? I don't need their approval. The millions using it are good enough for me, my approval.

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday warned the Centre of a new variant of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) found in Singapore and said that it can result in India's third wave.

The virus, Kejriwal said, is extremely dangerous for children and asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government to immediately halt air services with Singapore and prioritise vaccination drive for children.

"The new form of Corona that came to Singapore is being said to be extremely dangerous for children, in India it may come as a third wave. My appeal to the central government are air services with Singapore to be cancelled with immediate effect and prioritise the options for vaccinating children at the earliest," the Delhi chief minister tweeted.

Did I read it right, the variant that came from India to Singapore is very dangerous to children, especially in India, and could result in India's third wave? And Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwalis telling Modi to stop flights from Singapore to India? And Singapore is still not banning travel to and from India and still allowing flights from India to come to Singapore?

What is going on? India more dangerous or Singapore more dangerous? New Delhi's chief minister could see how dangerous this variant is and wanted to protect the children of India! Did our millionaires also know how dangerous this variant is and want to do something to protect our children from it, or never mind, it would not affect us, it would not affect our children. They know best? Our children would not be affected?

How many school children here already affected huh?

How To Guard Oneself Against Falsehood In The World Of Propaganda - Part 1

 

I go for the main government mouth-piece of any country for the half truths because I know that all government mouth-piece are their advertising bill-boards, their propaganda machines. So, I will never take their words at face value. As I read them, I sieve out the truths from the half-truths, and the half-truths from the lies and vice versa.

I go to non-government, private and commercial news outlets for their news but always keep in mind that these news outlets are profit-driven. That means I have to be careful about my emotions. I must not allow myself to be dragged in by the sensationalisation of the news reporting and news reporters/readers.

I go to the social media for the opinions, views, critical comments and the facts in order to give myself a huge reservoir of data, information and knowledge, so that I will be able to identify, discern, distinguish, differentiate and interpret what is truth and what is untruth, or half-truths from the mass of information and disinformation out there in the cyberspace.

And I often go to Google and Wikipedia, and other search engines to find historical facts in order to verify what I have read.

I call the whole process: The Intelligence Cycle, which can be broken down into clear distinct stages for ease of understanding (usually there is no distinct stages in the brain - everything happens intuitively in a haphazard manner), as follows:

1. Collection.
2. Collation.
3. Processing.
4. Analysis.
5. Interpretation.
6. Options.
7. Conclusion.

Creation of Israel in 1948 by British and Americans from Palestinian land. The whole piece of land, blue and green were colonised and ruled by the British. They carved out the blue part for the Israelis and transported the surviving Jews from the holocaust in Europe to this land. See how the European Jews were given a piece of Arab/Palestinian land to form a state called Israel? See how the Palestinians were broken up and not able to form a state?

 

After the 6 Days War in 1967, the Israelis expanded their territories at the expense of Palestinian land. Only two parcels of the land were left for the Palestinians, Gaza and West Bank.

Today, the Israelis settlers moved into West Bank and occupied many parts of it and the Palestinians were left in separate clusters all over West Bank. The other part of Palestinian land left was Gaza, the target of Israelis aerial bombings these few days. Gaza is the tiny strip of green on the left.

How could the Palestinian form a country when they were broken up in pieces in their homeland with most of the land now occupied by Israel. Anyone helping the Palestinians to regain their lost land?

Yes, the kind Americans, now protecting the Israelis in their bombing of Gaza. And with each year passing, the land of the Palestinians gets smaller and smaller, with the Americans' blessing. And the Arabs still believe the Americans are fair and just and would help them and the Palestinians in getting their land back.

So pathetic, so silly. How could the British and Americans broke up the land into separate bits for the Palestinians to build a country? What was their intent and agenda in 1948? What fricking idea was that? It was meant to fail from the start.

See how evil and mischievous were the British and Americans against the Arabs/Muslims, specifically the Palestinians? From the start, the Palestinians were scattered in different parts of their land and could not possibly form a country. They were set up to be gobbled up by the Israelis over time when the latter grew in strength. What happened to them today is the result that was conceived by the British and Americans in 1948, a crime against the Palestinians, the Muslims and the Arabs.

The genocide of the Palestinians is real and on going, compares to the farcical fabricated genocide in Xinjiang cooked up by the AngloSaxons that no one would believe is happening.

This present B1617 series of Covid-19 viruses produced by India is notoriously much, much more infectious than their predecessors, and more deadly too.

The previous Covid viruses only killed the old and weak within a month or so. These present India-produced Covid B1617 viruses killed the old, the weak, as well as the young and the healthy within 10 days or so. And they display no symptoms until the very last moment when the probability of death is very high. Without pure oxygen pumping into the lungs to help the patient to breath, the patient will die of suffocation, brain-dead, heart attack or kidney failure.

Most of those who got infected are people who flouted the proper way of wearing their masks, or those who stubbornly refused to wear a mask - eg taking it off while talking on the phone or talking to friends; not wearing masks while playing at public playgrounds and facilities; not wearing a mask while giving Speeches of teaching; standing too close to people who are smoking at home or in public places; attending Tae Kwon Do classes at Clubs or CCs; eating at crowded popular public places (like the Changi Airport canteen and cafeteria and Kopitiams), and wearing the mask over the chin instead of covering the mouth and nose, while taking public transport.

Naturally, such irresponsible people also become super-spreaders once they have been infected.

Therefore, basically, the spreading of the vicious virus is mainly caused by irresponsible people and irresponsible leaders who allowed the virus to enter the country, despite so many warnings given by their own citizens and others.

The mentioned of CECA drew intense anger and disapproval for this one sided agreement signed between India and Singapore leading to a disproportional number of Indians working in Singapore and the loss of thousands of Singaporean PMET jobs. Accepted that it is difficult to prove the co relation in the numbers of PMETs losing their jobs to the Indians being employed, it is a known fact that a few hundred Indians are employed here on Employment Pass and Work Permits and thousands of PMETs are now unemployed or underemployed or prematurely retired, wanting to work but unable to find decent work relevant to their experience and skills. This is very painful and financially crippling to many Singaporean families when the breadwinners lost their jobs and unable to sustain the families. Financial hardship and emotional and psychological stress and hurt followed.

How on earth is this CECA allowed to continue for so long and being extended over and over again when so many PMETs are losing their jobs and having to downgrade, to look for lower paying jobs? How could anyone turn a blind eye to the anger and haplessness of Singaporeans, and taking for granted that the Singaporeans that were victims of this notorious agreement would continue to support the govt and accept their fate and unemployment, unable to put food on the table as normal?

And why was Facebook banning this group? Who told Facebook to ban this group appealing for the termination of CECA?

When would Singaporeans be treated fairly in their own countries? Why are Singaporeans made to suffer under this agreement? No, not true, this agreement has nothing to do with the unemployment of Singaporeans, it was all because they were not skilled, not qualified, their skills no longer needed in the market?

This is a crime against Singaporeans but is there anyone listening to their cries and doing something positive to alleviate their plight?  Anyone really care or just giving some lip service to their problems while Singaporean PMETs got fallen along the wayside?

Would the termination of this CECA help in some ways towards bettering the lives of Singaporeans and their families? For now the pain and suffering of Singaporeans continue unabated.

Shanmugam has challenged Leong Mun Wai to a debate on this CECA. It is about time that this is seriously discussed in Parliament and MPs would pose as many questions as if they are asking questions about pets and dogs and climate change. For the debate to be meaningful, maybe the govt should provide some data on the employment of Indians here under CECA over the last 15 or 20 years versus the number of Singaporeans in India, the number of PMETs that have lost their jobs, retired, underemployed etc etc.  The other thing of interest would be the qualifications of the Indians, how are they vetted, what are accepted university degrees etc etc. Data on the number of Singapore companies in India versus the number of Indian companies here, how many jobs have Singapore companies created in India for Indians and how many jobs Indian companies here have created for Indians and Singaporeans.

Oh, another thing, how about some numbers on Singapore's investments in India, how much have been invested and how much have Singapore made or lost in the last decade?

PSP should take up this challenge and look at this CECA in totality, how much it benefits both countries in terms of investment and job creation. etc etc.  Singaporeans would be looking forward for an airing on this CECA that many have very strong misgivings rightfully or wrongly. Shanmugam could explain the govt's position on this, the pros and cons of this agreement in the debate to allay the fears and unhappiness of Singaporeans, especially on how much Singapore has benefitted from the agreement both in Singapore and in India.

Fifty years ago, Richard Nixon decided to ignore Napoleon’s advice to “let [China] sleep, for when it wakes it will astonish the world.”[1]  I was there when China opened its eyes.  And I have watched it transform the various orders of the world and become an American obsession.

Every generation of Americans feels obliged to reinvent the China policies it inherits from its predecessor.  We can be sure our country will eventually get its policies right – after we’ve exhausted all the alternatives.  But we have not yet done so.  And, for many reasons, our latest policies toward China are almost certain to prove self-defeating.

We have just exited the most bizarre presidency in our history.  One of its distinguishing characteristics was the substitution in our foreign relations of unrestricted economic warfare for diplomacy.  Bluster and bullying replaced dialogue and reason aimed at convincing the recalcitrant to see that it could be in their interest as well as ours for them to do things our way.

In the last half of the last century, we Americans made the rules.  Others got into the habit of following us.  To some extent, that habit – though fading – has outlasted our adherence to the principles we once stood for.  So military posturing, economic intimidation, diatribe, and attempted regime change are becoming the norm in international relations.  China is a case in point.  Sino-American relations now exemplify Freeman’s third law of strategic dynamics: for every hostile act there can be an even more hostile reaction.

Americans have an inbuilt missionary impulse.  We enjoy protecting, tutoring, lecturing, and hectoring other peoples on how to correct their character to approximate our idealized image of ourselves.  We are offended when others insist on independence from us and on preserving their own political culture.  China has never wavered in its determination to do both, wishful thinking by American politicians and pundits notwithstanding.

In America’s pas de deux with China, we have consistently been the initiator of the dance and taken the lead.  We developed some well-founded complaints about Chinese economic behavior, so we launched a trade war with it.  We were alarmed about China’s potential to outcompete us internationally, so we decided to try to cripple it with an escalating campaign of “maximum pressure.”  We saw China as a threat to our continued military primacy, so we sought to contain and encircle it.  Cumulatively, we have:

• declared China to be an adversary and called for regime change in Beijing;
• launched an invective-filled global propaganda campaign against China, its ruling Communist Party, and its fumbled initial response to COVID-19;
• sanctioned allies and partners for failing to curtail their own dealings with China;
• replaced market-driven trade with China with government management of economic exchanges based on tariffs, quotas, sanctions, and export bans;
• abandoned or attempted to sabotage international organizations in which we deemed Chinese influence to be greater than ours;
• kneecapped the WTO, trashing the rule-bound order for international economic relations we had taken seven decades to elaborate;
• attempted to block Chinese investment and lending in third countries;
• blacklisted Chinese companies and delisted them on our stock markets;
• curtailed visas, criminalized scientific exchanges, and banned technology exports to China;
• closed a Chinese consulate (losing one of our own as a result) and initiated tit-for-tat reductions in reporting by journalists;
• sought to terminate Chinese sponsorship of language teaching in our country, and discouraged in-country study by potential federal employees;
• reidentified the United States with Beijing’s civil war adversary in Taipei and violated the Taiwan-related terms of U.S. normalization with Beijing;
• stepped up provocative air and sea patrols along China’s borders; and
• begun to reconfigure both our conventional and nuclear forces to fight a war with China in its near seas or on its claimed and established territory.

These actions have gotten China’s attention, much as they got Japan’s when we applied a range of considerably less hostile measures to it in 1941.  Japan reacted by attacking Pearl Harbor.  China has not yet lost its cool.... 

Covid19 reset the world for China like World War 2 did for the USA

 By the end of WW2, the world stage was set for the rise of the USA as the sole and dominant super power. The war destroyed practically every country on earth, economy ruined, people died and homes broken.  Every country was on a limp, trying to pick up the pieces, to put them together to build a new country together. But because of the war and the crumbled economy and infrastructure, every country was broke with no manufacturing capability and money to rebuild themselves.

The only exception was the USA. Other than the initial surprise attack at Pearl Harbour, which was crippling in a way, the American economy was intact, the infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities, factories and skilled workers were practically untouched by the war and ready to steam along in higher and greater capacity to meet the demands of a hungry and devastated world short of everything.

While the rest of the world practically had to start from ground zero, America and its economy were steam rolling and benefiting from its advantageous position to become the biggest economy in the world, providing goods and services to the world and becoming very rich and powerful in the process.

The story is now so familiar with what is happening to this pandemic. China suffered its Pearl Harbour in Wuhan. A sneaky virus attack that led to a complete lockdown of the city and province. Through providence and good leadership, China quickly got its act together, contained the virus, limited the losses while the rest of the country could go on life as normal, protected from the virus attack.

On the other hand the virus engulfed the whole world. Practically no country is spared. The power and rich nations, the more powerful they are the worse they were inflicted with the virus. Economic destruction is widespread, country wide and world wide. Many economies were in ruins, unable to function or operate as per normal but in limited capacities, some dysfunctional. America, Europe, Japan etc etc were all struggling and still struggling to get a hold of the pandemic. Unfortunately the virus keep mutating and each wave becomes more serious than its predecessor.

The whole picture is like a world war, World War 3, involving every country, destruction and death everywhere. China alone was like the USA in WW2, after recovering from its Pearl Harbour, it shielded itself from the pandemic, protected its people and economy and the Chinese economic engine continues to roar along in greater pace and speed, just like the American economy during and after WW2.

The pandemic is still in its early stage and could take years to recover but not before it brings down many countries and their economies, like WW2 bringing an end to the colonial industrial powers to their knees. When the pandemic is over, China will be the biggest and probably sole beneficiary of this WW3, and would be in the best and most advantageous position, the benefactor of the world, exactly like the USA after WW2, to save the world, to provide the goods and services needed by the world from its massive industrial capacity, factories and workforce.

All the forces are colluding and collaborating to put China in a position of strength, to pick up the baton as the number one super power on earth. The divine forces are on the side of China and are unstoppable. It is China's destiny as it was the USA's destiny after 1945. 

The shining star standing tall and fully intact after this 'WW3' is China.

The uncanny similarities in the effects and position of China and the USA as a result of WW2 and this pandemic are stark and unexplainable. The plots, players and factors at play may be different, but the end results are the same. The world went into a crisis and massive destruction to clean the slate for a new chapter in human civilisation. The USA then was the chosen one to emerge as the next super power. China now is the chosen one to emerge to replace the USA after this pandemic. Heaven is favouring China like it once favoured the Americans. The USA could not be destroyed by its Pearl Harbour.  China could not be destroyed by its version of Pearl Harbour in Wuhan. The enemies would end up the losers.

Covid19 - Brisk walking Indian told to put on mask and kicked

The recent act of violence against an Indian woman accused of not wearing her mask while brisk walking and then kicked by the accuser was definitely uncalled for and unacceptable. The attacker, a Chinese man, was arrested for assault and under police investigation. 

With the Covid pandemic raging in India and the spread of dangerous variants around the world, many are getting highly sensitive, paranoid, to the virus infection. In this assault case it was raised in Parliament and leading to Shanmugam saying that racism and if not stopped, more Indians could also be attacked here. To be precise and not to misquote our Law Minister, this was reported in thenewpaper, 'Concluding his speech yesterday, Mr Shanmugam said: "(Singapore) will fail if we allow racism and xenophobia to become prevalent,..." Ok, Shanmugam did not exactly say that the attack was a racist attack. He also warned against fanning the flame of racism.

This racist interpretation is understandable given that the attacker is a Chinese man and the victim an Indian. A similar incident happened in Pasir Ris Park where an Indian man behaved aggressively against an Indian couple for a similar reason, fear of Covid virus spreading here. It was reported in thenewpaper today that the Indian man was arrested for making racist remark, between an Indian and another Indian!

'The wife said in an email to Mothership that her family were shocked to witness the unprovoked and overtly “racial comments” directed at them, which was the first time they experienced here. The family was said to have been in Singapore for the last 10 years.

She told Mothership that she was concerned about her children would be most affected by the incident.

She alleged that the Singaporean man taunted her family initially by continuously shouting in their direction, “Bloody Indians go back, spreading virus here.”'

How this latter case was also seen as racist in nature is puzzling as both were ethnic Indians. Can a Singaporean Indian blasting out at an India Indian be called an act of racism? Can anyone explain this?

Actually in both cases the problem was about wearing of mask and the fear of virus spreading. The case was not so much of against Indians but people coming from India that is now facing a very serious virus catastrophe.

It was convenient to stoke the racist demon to make a case but would it be better if the racist elementbe handled with special sensitivity and care? If every incident is treated as a racist act then the flame of racism would burn extra violently and more anger and hate would be stirred leading to very unpleasant and very unacceptable consequences.

Racism and racist rage have been on display in the US and UK in its worse form when people were attacked for no reason, no better excuse than just the colour of their skin. That is racism pure and simple. The above two cases may have some tinge of racism for those who would like to see it from that angle, but the main issue was not so much of race but the fear of the virus. In the latter case it was nationality involved, not race per se. It was about people coming from India where the virus is running out of control.

It would be wise for people to look at the issues involved and not try to thread on the dangerous ground of racism.  Many racists have been stoking the fire of racism at every opportunity, true or over exaggeration and attacking innocent people with racism the furthest from their minds, like putting on an act in a party or dressing in different ethnic dresses.  Kumar got to be very careful with his acts and comments during his performance or the racists will accuse him of racism.

Genocide of Muslims on Hari Raya

 Muslims in the region celebrate Hari Raya in a muted fashion amidst the Covid19 pandemic. They try their best to make the best of this important day in their lives. 

In contrast, the Muslims in the Middle East, in Palestinian land are being killed by the indiscriminate bombings of the Israelis and with the Americans and the West turning a blind eye to the killings, offering nothing but empty words and forbidding any country to interfere and stop the genocide.

Killings of the Muslims are second nature to the Whites. They have been doing it for centuries but always putting on a pretense as peace maker, the white gods that will keep the Muslims and Arabs alive, at least not all will be killed while the Israelis were let loose to grab more of their land and killing them at will with American and western weapons of destruction.

While the real killings of the Muslims go on and on, the AngloSaxon whites put on a grand show by dragging the spineless UN into a debate on the false allegation of genocide and discrimination of Muslims in Xinjiang. The white haters of Muslims, the white killers of Muslims are putting a show to protect Muslims in Xinjiang that do not need their crocodile tears while on the other hand they were supporting the Israelis in the killings of more Muslim Palestinians and Arabs in Palestinian land.

How hypocritical and silly can this be? Why would the UN be dragged by the nose into a witch hunt by the AngloSaxon whites when the whole world, the whole Muslim and Arab world know that it was a farce, a political game to demonise and smear China? This so called debate was actually a sideshow initiated by the US, UK and Germany, with little support from the UN. The UN has its own organisation overseeing human rights violation and the US is not a member of this organisation. Trump pulled out when the organisation saw through his American ruse and would not go along with the ruthless and baseless American attacks on countries they deemed as enemies.

How many silly countries would join this farcical UN effort to waste time and resources on a white lie while the Muslims, Palestinians and Arabs are dying right before their eyes, killed by the Israelis using AngloSaxon weapons and backed and protected by the Americans and AngloSaxons with impunity?

Can the UN stand up and look at the world squarely and be respected for its role in the AngloSaxon ploy about Xinjiang and the cold hard truth of genocide of Muslims, Palestinians and Arabs in Palestinian land, playing on the TV screens daily in the living rooms of the people of the world?

How could the world live in peace with the massacre going on right before them? How could the Muslims celebrate this important day while fellow Muslim Palestinians and Arabs are dying by the merciless bombings of the Israelis, unable to defend themselves with the disproportionate distribution of weapons of mass killings in favour of the Israelis?
