For example, when China showcased its robots performing with humans, they claimed that those robots were under remote control. That was not a single robot, but dozens of them doing the same stuff in perfect unison with the human performers. How could such precise control over their jumping, somersaulting and doing wushu be under remote control?
Suffice to say, just because they are unable to do the same, they demonized. The same thing they always do without fail. It is just sour grapes. Just like the fox unable to get at the grapes and yet tells everyone that they are sour. Not tasing it yet the fox knows it is sour.
But going a step further, they may claim that what the robots are doing is just copying from them. While Elon Musk is making robots to do housework like watering plants and serving tea, China is using robots in an industrial landscape. Compare the productivity of the two and you can gauge who is really thinking out of the box.

China may be making military robots that could change warfare. Of course, fighting wars using soldiers is more or less obsolete in this era of hypersonic missiles and drones and what else is not known.
Unless the intention is to occupy lands conquered. But Afghanistan had already shown the futility of such an attempt if the enemy is intent on fighting a war of attrition.
And, of course, another perfect example is Japan trying to control the whole of Asia using its military strength during WW2, that was later to find its military stretched so thin that they had to resort to the wholesale massacre of perceived enemy troops and possible combatants. Nanjing is a good example of Japanese atrocities in the face of its inability to control territories it conquered.
