Who copy and steal from who?

I came across this Youtube video on the site 'Statrys' titled 'Now it's the West copying China (but they'll never admit it). A very insightful view of the changing world. Some of the stuff that the West are starting to do, China has been doing that for years. The only mantra we have been hearing is that China is stealing ideas, which the propaganda machine has been so successful in doing for decades.

Aside from the propaganda, China not only is dominating in areas like EVs, solar panels, wind turbines, shipbuilding and high-speed railway systems, there are areas less well known, but which China is already killing the competition, quietly, discreetly and as always without the shouting.

The diamond industry, dominated by the West is already taken apart by the artificial diamond industry of China. Even the experts could not differentiate the quality of artificial diamonds compared to the real stuff controlled by British De Beers all over the decades. This company had been able to keep diamond prices artificially high by controlling global diamond output using its monopolistic position. India faces the same problem with its import and export of diamond industry crippled by falling demand. Now, the shit has hit the fan. The touting of 'Diamonds are Forever' is no longer holding true, with China's cut-throat prices competing on the global market.

Diamonds are not just to cater to the jewelry market. One important sector, the semiconductor industry, needed diamonds for its unique qualities. This is going to be another industry that China could weaponize in years to come.

An even less known industry that the Chinese have taken apart is the roe of the sturgeon fish, a very expensive delicacy of the Norwegian Caviar industry which is facing stiff competition from China. China had been breeding this fish for decades and is now harvesting its roe to compete on the global caviar market.

China is also already making substantial progress in the food production sector, being now the biggest producer of farmed seafood, reclaiming desert lands now providing more space for agriculture, growing a rice specie in salt water. Food is a national security issue, together with energy, for China's survival. And China is not letting these be left behind while concentrating on its manufacturing domination.

There are so many other sectors that China is innovating with ideas that could kill the global competition. This is the overcapacity that the USA and the West fears.
