Having said that, how long can the USA and Israel keep on fighting a long, drawn-out war? Iran has home ground advantage while the USA needs replenishment in everything from ammunitions to food. As in Ukraine, Russia home ground is just next door, no problem with logistics. Four years into the Ukraine War and Russia is still standing, did not collapse as gloated and still going strong. NATO and USA have to fly in supplies for Ukraine.
Worst case scenario is that the USA and Israel now cannot even retreat which means defeat at the hands of Iran. Now Congress is asking the question about who gave Trump the go ahead to start a war with Iran.
If Trump's war on Iran is declared illegal, Israel may be on its own and that begs the question whether it can even survive. What started as another attempt to attack, inflict damage and then call it quits through a ceasefire deal is not happening and out of the question.

Trump's attack on Iran was against the advice of the Military leaders. Trump has no military expertise, listens to the wrong people around him, is under the control of Netanyahu, took the prodding of Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia and just launched his war.
That peace deal between Iran and Saudi Arabia is now history, something that Trump and Israel have been yearning for. Divide and rule is still workable and has been successful. Suffice to say, the Arabs are double-headed snakes and are not trustworthy, just like the USA. Birds of a feather flocks together needs no further elaboration.
Now the Arabs have to carry the bag, with oil exports in question, benefiting the USA's agenda to monopolize energy supply to Europe above all. Sure, the rest of the world will bear the consequences as well, but there are always alternatives. China can import more oil from Russia and Iran via the land route. China will find ways to overcome obstacles, not brooding and blaming others.
Russia just announced cutting gas supply to the EU, a move that is said to leverage on 'more promising alternative markets', which is self-explanatory. Russia cannot be supplying cheap energy to the EU to make weapons to support Ukraine. That is counterproductive. Russia knows that China will benefit from its gas supply moving Eastward, and wants to corner the market, with Qatar now stopping production.
Russia's announcement on the heels of the Europeans gloating about 'Made in Europe' agenda comes at right time, raining on the party in Europe. But of course, the Europeans also have alternatives, which is very expensive gas from the USA with Qatar stopping production over the war. But being able to compete globally using expensive gas from the USA is another matter.
