Trump just attacked the whole world and the most badly hit countries are American allies. It is not that Trump did not know the consequences of this madness, to go and kill the Iranians, especially their leaders and school girls and patients in hospitals. Empty head Trump truly believes he is the demi God King, that he can do anything as he pleases and can control the pace of the war. He wanted a quickie, 4 days and pulled out immediately and declared mission accomplished. He did not know that Iran had other plans and can dictate the pace and direction of the war. Iran had turned down his ceasefire call and is telling this man child that the war will go on and on. Iran will call the shot, not dummy Trump.
Now what? Trump only has ammo for one month and will be striped naked by then, with nothing to fight on. But that is not the issue. Trump's allies Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, India and Europe and many countries around the world that needed oil cannot do without oil from the region. They did not have much stockpile to last more than two weeks. Their power grid will have to shut down, their economy will stagger to a halt.
The major European economies, India, Japan, are all heavily dependent on Arabian oil. Singapore too needs Arab oil. How long can these countries function normally without Arab oil? The airline and shipping industries need oil. The heavy industries and semiconductor industries need a lot of power, ie oil. And the AI industry with all the power consuming computer centers...
Taiwan only has one week of oil reserves. What will happen to TSMC? Maybe Trump is offering Xi a welcoming gift for his coming trip to Beijing, by strangling Taiwan first. This war is going to be months, several months, maybe years. The Iranians know the importance of oil, the blood of modern industrial economies. Now the Strait of Hormuz is closed, choked. Not a drop of oil flowing out. China will be affected but marginally as Russian pipelines would continue to flow.
Let's wait to see which country will be the first to go down on its knees begging for oil. The pain will start in two weeks' time. Iran is not going to let Trump go so easily. The show has just started. Thanks to the unthinking clowns in Washington and top clown Trump. Maybe this has all along been his great plan, and America can make a lot of money selling overpriced oil, including those from Venezuela. The rest of the world can die, their business.
