Deterring aggressive China? USA not aggressive?

SINGAPORE: The Trump administration’s “pivot to Asia” did not last long. In May 2025, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth declared that America is “here to stay” in the “priority theatre” of the Indo-Pacific. By the end of the year, the Trump administration’s National Security Strategy told a different story, prioritising the Western Hemisphere over the Indo-Pacific.

Now, with the US waging an escalating war against Iran, its security commitment to Asia is in doubt again.

Observers of the region have warned about the shortcomings of American engagement for years, including lackluster economic ties and a tendency to view the region through the prism of US-China competition. Security engagement and deterring China were the only consistent pillars of the crumbling strategy.

Notice how this American lie of 'aggressive China' still being peddled in the minds of silly Anglophiles and Singaporeans? The American narrative has always been a China threat, an aggressive China threatening SE Asia, threatening the world, wanting to conquer and dominate the world, while the American terrorists are the peace loving angels to protect the world from aggressive China. And China has not been in a war with any country for decades, no threat about going to war, to interfere in other country's internal affairs. Despite all the wars, all the war crimes and genocides committed by the American terrorists, you never hear the words 'American aggression' slipping out from the mouth of these silly Singaporeans. American terrorists are so peaceful, so loving, so caring?

When would silly Singaporeans get their heads cleanse of the stupidity inside? American terrorists peaceful, China aggressive?

American pivot to Asia will always be welcomed by silly Asean leaders despite all the killings in the Middle East. No one talking about deterring American aggression and war crimes! What about deterring the little monster Israel? No one cares about the genocide in Gaza and the endless aggression against Arabs and Muslim states by Israel and America.
