Look like the attempt to use seized Russian assets to fund Ukraine has collapsed. Belgium, that holds most of the Russian assets is smart enough to realize the consequences and might be left holding the bag should the Russians take action and succeeds in taking back those assets, plus interest. Now what?
Even the USA is wary of using such Russian assets, but the Europeans are very brave trying to do what the USA has yet to do. Now, it looks like the Europeans are attempting to show they are one step more virulent than the USA, showing the world that it can also resort to lying, cheating, stealing and now robbing as well. Putin calls the European robbers, which is what they actually are. The Europeans have been robbing countries around the world for centuries. It is in their DNA and old habits die hard.
The USA is aware that such seizure is already taking a toll on its sale of treasuries and attracting foreign investments to shore up its manufacturing boasts. Who wants to buy USA treasuries and building assets in the USA, knowing it can also be seized at its whims and fancies if the USA follows the Europeans.
The Taiwanese, Japanese and South Koreans are looking for trouble investing in the USA and their investments will, in time, be held hostage as well like the Arabs, if they do not toe the line. But there is nothing they can do when they are pushed against the wall. This is like being forced to put a hand into a snake pit waiting for snakes to bite, which is a certainty.

The more they rob, the more disastrous it will be for them and the USA. Selling treasuries will be more difficult. Attracting foreign investments will be even more difficult. Who wants to invest in USA or Europe when entities like Nexperia can be seized, and Russian assets held hostage. In the end, it is playing stupid games and getting stupid prizes.
The USA and the Europeans can keep China out, sell to each other all the expensive goods that they can make, which are not saleable outside the USA and Europe. USA and European citizens have no choice of buying cheaper goods from China, so it should work out fine, LOL. Freedom of choice sounds great, but hollow.
Unless Trump demands that BRICS countries must buy USA goods, just like demanding BRICS countries refrain from doing trade without using the US$. Empty vessel makes the most noise is no idle boast.
But what products does USA produce that BRICS countries need, which they can buy cheaper from China? Oh, I forgot about the word 'demand'.
Hahaha
Nothing works better than when it is all in the Anglo-Saxon family thing. Let us watch the circus.
There seems to be so much usage of the word 'demand'. Now Denmark is also demanding USA clarity over its stand on Greenland. Israel is demanding Hamas put down arms. Thailand and Cambodia are demanding something from the other side before a peace deal.
Trump appointed an envoy to Greenland, meaning it does not respect the fact that Greenland belongs to Denmark. It is the same situation as Taiwan in relation to China. This will be an interesting development.
