Why is the Trump now worried about countries using other currencies to trade among themselves? Wasn't Western media and analysts galore brushing aside BRICS as irrelevant and just an irritant against the mighty US$?
China and Russia do not do unnecessary things just for fun, like setting up alliances for irrelevant purposes. They do things after serious thought and planning, not making decisions after waking up from a nightmare or from the wrong side of bed. The irony is that some countries after making mistakes on the spur of the moment, still refused to accept their failings and still move further ahead suffering more consequences instead of correcting them.
Anyway, just let this continue and China should just continue to adopt the maxim 'never try to correct the mistakes of your enemy'.

Extortionist Trump demands countries obey his call to follow USA's 'Rules Based Order' (or Disorder), otherwise they will face serious consequences, meaning more sanctions which is the only arsenal left. Russia and China are telling Trump, bring it on and see who suffers more or collapse faster. Now the USA is nervous hearing the word 'decoupling' and is itself not using it to threaten China.
Russia and China now have BRICS support behind them, with the Global South providing access for trade and providing a big market that is still evolving. The USA is no longer the one and only market for Chinese exports. Likewise, Europe is not the only market for Russian oil, sold cheaper than everybody else, which the morons in Europe do not want and instead opted for more expensive USA energy. It is killing Europe's industrial base. Stupidity really has no cure.
