Israelis pruning Iran's nuclear programme, like pruning Arabs and Muslims every few years

Now the narrative has exposed the thinking that Israel's strike on Iran's nuclear facilities is going to prevent Iran from ever getting the bomb. The new narrative is that the present attack will 'only slow down Iran's march towards possession of the bomb by two to three years'.

Not being an expert, may I be allowed to say, that with Iran's capability and its mindset focused on making the possession of the bomb it's priority, the time frame could be shorter than that. So, is the present scenario going to be repeated again and again to prevent Iran from going nuclear? To reach that stage, some country is going to disappear from the face of the earth if that is to happen.

There is growing concern in the West that Israel cannot hold out much longer with its stockpile of interceptor missiles which are not going to last another two weeks of Iranian assault, with Iran now using hypersonic missiles that are incapable of being stopped. Of what use are more interceptors that cannot realistically intercept those hypersonic missiles?

Having said that, making more missiles to replenish those expended is not just a problem for Israel, with even the USA, that is coming to its aid, facing similar issues. Without rare earth elements in enough quantities due to Chinese sanctions, the situation looks dire. Would the use of nuclear weapons be next on the cards by Israel? Putin has warned Israel already that it will step in if Iran is facing USA direct attack.

Those countries that are not directly involved in the war will only talk till the cow come home. Terrorist Israel/Americunt will just ignore the noise and continue their killing of human bean. If only someone could sink the americunt aircraft carrier & perhap this will make the bullies stop their action.

Excellent heading to this article, Mr Redbean. As any gardener knows, pruning encourages and speed up growth. The new shoots will be more and healthier than the old branches pruned away.
Same can be said about sanctions and tariffs. Those sanctioned find new ways to do things and end up improving to a level way beyond before. We've got to thank the west for all these sanctions. On the other hand those who sanction, grow weaker and more destitute.

That is the same as trying to prune China's semiconductor sector, which is doing the opposite instead and is going to encourage China to move even faster to catch up.

What they gloated ten years ago about China being so far behind in chip technology and needing five to seven years to catch up is now shortened to maybe three years or is now even closer than they think. If China is already doing 3 nm chips, the gap is minimal. AI is not about high-end chip performance and is more about having cheap electricity, as the founder of one of the AI innovators in the USA disclosed. I am not a geek to understand what the real implications are in driving new technologies.

Trump is using the same script used by George W. Bush in Iraq. The only thing left is to get the UN to approve for the 'Coalition of the Willing' to come together to put boots on the ground in Iran. Any volunteers from the braves of Red Dot?
