I still remember that the USA and some of its sycophants were touting loudly that BRICS de-dollarization move is a non-event, just a little irritant against the mighty US$, and that its de-dollarization agenda is stalling. Why is the USA now demanding that BRICS cancel its non-dollar trade? Is it really hurting the USA with its de-dollarization move, since it is not so successful and falling apart?
'I love it when the plan comes together' to quote John Hannibal Smith (played earlier by George Peppard) of the A team. So, BRICS's plan is really coming together, and it makes the USA nervous and desperate. Why not just rally the Anglo-Saxon White clique together to fight BRICS, which is the normal solution as happened with Huawei. But, alas, the USA is shooting its own foot by alienating even its Anglo-Saxon base, particularly the EU and expecting them to close ranks?
China does not make plans to fail. China makes long term plans that will evidently succeed, and de-dollarization using BRICS is one such plan. China makes plans with lots of background support, study and calibration, unlike the USA using tariffs to reshore manufacturing without any hint of preparedness and having no alternatives ready to put in place by shutting out Chinese products.
As I understand, the only big, beautiful and wonderful negotiation completed and reported so far is with the UK, that suffered the wrong end of the stick anyway. Who else is now negotiating? The penguins and seals that cannot deny being in the queue maybe, but certainly not China that has no qualms about putting the USA to shame by declaring about not being in negotiation with the USA despite all the gloating.
Now the USA is again waiting for the call from Xi, which is not coming after what the USA is doing to Chinese students studying in the USA, the further curbs by the USA on semiconductor software and the denial of further loans by USA entities to Chinese companies. Xi has all the time in the world to hold, while Trump has still a little more than three years to wait out his term for Xi's phone call.

Have I missed the report of Trump 'demanding' that Xi gave him a call, LOL.
Now every message to every country is about warning and demanding, a new kind of diplomacy that the old guards would just shake their heads. Winston Churchill said that 'diplomacy is the art of telling your enemy to go to hell in such a way that they ask for directions'. Not the kind of crude and arrogant behavior type of diplomacy that puts people off immediately.
