Even though the truth is undoubtedly due to neglect and infrastructure, they are trying to find something or someone to blame like a transformer catching fire, the wind too strong, someone purposely setting those fires and even blaming ChatGPT as one of the causes. Just imagine that. But the spread of the fire basically is largely due to water shortage for the firefighters. Without water, do not expect firefighters to use blankets and coats to put out those raging fires. Moreover, some of those fighting the fires are incarcerated people, paid US$10.24 a day to do the job. All the blame is basically to protect the State Governor and those responsible for maintaining important facilities.
Just like the Jeju plane crash, no one doing the investigation is paying much attention to the landing gear failure that constitute the events leading to the Boeing 737-800 crashing and killing 79 people on board. Staying away from the land gear investigation is trying to steer any blame away from Boeing, nothing more.
As most people would have already known, the USA is famous for blaming others for all its ills and faults, without looking at itself in the mirror. Being unable to compete, the USA is blaming China for overcapacity and providing subsidies to companies like BYD. As a matter of interest, what the USA Government provided as subsidies to its car manufacturers, semiconductor entities are way higher than what the Chinese Government is doing. The pot should not just call the kettle black because it cannot compete successfully and using fallacious arguments to legitimize its failure.

Trump is trying to force USA citizens to buy USA manufactured goods or he will raise tariffs on imported goods from other countries. Another day and another lie are normal for USA politicians.
This is another 'Hobson's Choice' for the USA people. This is what they call their freedom of choice? What difference is that going to make when the cost of manufacturing in the USA is not going to produce cheap goods, which will be just as expensive as goods imported with the added tariffs. Trump is assuming that USA voters are brain-dead after all the decades of brainwashing, and he can continue to rip them off at leisure, just like his ripping off other businessmen using his bankruptcies. Is this how he got rich?
Not that easy for Trump now to sell his snake oil. USA citizens are finding out that they had been lied to for decades about China. Trying to reverse this mentality is going to be impossible.
Another thing we need to take note of is the narrative about GDP per capita to distinguish a rich country from a poor country. The USA has a per capita nominal GDP of about 7 times that of China, while based on purchasing power parity basis is about 3 times that of China. However, comparing GDP per capita to determine the standard of living of a country is hogwash. The cost of living in China pertaining to everything is much lower than in the USA and this alone cancels the perceived higher standard of living that the USA likes to tout about its citizens enjoying superior living standards compared to China. Everything in the USA is a couple of times more expensive, with healthcare and hospitalization real shockers. This explains why the Chinese are living so well or even better than the normal USA citizens. Now, we are beginning to see the true picture and ought to judge a country not just on per capita GDP to determine the standard of life in a particular country.
