Sino Indian border brawl or ambush - A piece of rubbish reporting

Brutal details emerge of India soldier 'ambush' on contested border with China as Modi tries to calm tension.  Joe Wallen, The Telegraph.

As the sun began to set over the Himalayan peaks, Colonel Santosh Babu and his unarmed platoon of 50 Indian soldiers on Monday set off on a patrol across the strategically crucial Galwan Valley in Ladakh.

Their mission was probably the most important in recent Indian history - to ascertain whether Chinese troops had withdrawn, as per an agreement between senior army officers from the two nations, from territory which had previously been administered by India for decades.

Instead, to their surprise, what Colonel Babu's men found were temporary Chinese all-weather tents and roughly enemy 100 soldiers waiting at a location called Patrolling Point 14.

Despite being outnumbered, the Indian soldiers confronted the Chinese troops.  Some started to remove the tents, sparking a long and brutal man-to-man brawl that has brought the two superpowers to the brink of war. ...

“Just when the Indian soldiers, who were on patrol started removing Chinese tents and material, it evoked a violent response from the People’s Liberation Army (PLA)”.

As the fight continued, both sides called for reinforcements but Chinese troops again significantly outnumbered those on the Indian side, allegedly 500 to 100....

Indian Army sources told the Telegraph that 23 troops are now confirmed to have died but casualties will significantly rise, with 110 soldiers injured and  more troops still missing....

The Indian sources say China suffered 35 casualties during the clash, quoting U.S intelligence material, a development Beijing said it wasn’t aware of.

The above is the most unprofessional piece of reporting with hazy and garbled facts and fuzzy numbers. How did the reporter gathered these facts? From slippery tongue witnesses of course. Now wonder all the facts were so funny and illogical and the numbers as good as guess work.

Read this, the 50 Indian soldiers were on a survey mission. But they ended up removing the tents of Chinese soldiers while being outnumbered. How arrogant to start such an aggressive act, to walk into Chinese camp to remove the tents of soldiers of another country. Who did these Indian soldiers think they were? Such hostile acts would definitely invite retaliation from the Chinese side. And the Indian news all over are still claiming that they were provoked by Chinese soldiers. Isn't it clear who were the aggressors?  In this report the heading was 'ambush'. What utter rubbish!  Does the reporter know the meaning of ambush?

And look at the numbers, 50 Indian soldiers provoking 100 Chinese soldiers.  Though both called for reinforcement, with claims that there were 500 Chinese soldiers to 100 Indian soldiers, and only 23 Indian casualties against 35 Chinese casualties.  The numbers gets more confusing with the Indians claiming 110 soldiers injured and more are missing. How many more? It seems that this brawl would have involved at least a few hundred soldiers from the Indian side and 5 times more from the Chinese side. That would be around a 1000 men involved in the fight from an initial 50 Indians against 100 Chinese.

And the funny thing, the Indians did not know how many casualties were from the Chinese side but the Americans that were not there were able to provide the number of Chinese casualties. The Americans must be Gods, omniprescience, all knowing. And the Indians damn were bloody good fighters, outnumbered 500 to 100 but able to inflict more casualties on the Chinese side, and they were ambushed!

Slippery tongues indeed. Talk like real. What is real? Who started the fight or provocation? How come all the great fighting Indians landed up in the river but not the Chinese? Is the reporter saying that the Indian soldiers were all pushed into the river by the Chinese soldiers?

When the twin towers collapsed during 911 attack, they initially exaggerated and said as many as forty thousand were estimated to have been killed. In the end the numbers got lesser and lesser and finally only 2,977 were killed.

This report of casualties must be from the US intelligence. They know how to make up stories to put those they are against in bad light. They want to start a war between China and India because weapons sales to the Middle East is not very optimistic lately. Now they are concentrating efforts to start a war in the South China Sea and South Asia.

The West always make up stories to sensationalize, in order to boost circulation, just like the story recently of Kim Jong Un being very sick and even dead. And every other MSM of the West pick up the story and repeated it. Did they check? Of course not.

Everybody knows the Western media is all about fake news. Nothing is going to make them being taken seriously. Crying wolf too often results in consequences, and does not help with circulation.

Before the British gave them independence in 1947, there was no such entity called India as a sovereign state. But after independenc, they think they are the British Empire and claimed everything the British was claiming.

China did not accept any of the British arbitrary claim and they think China would allow India to claim what the British were claiming. The maps the British handed to India was as good as toilet papers to China. But India keep on insisting that Chinese land written by the British as part of the British Empire should also be part of India.

See what China did when they took over Tibet? The British was claiming Tibet as part of the British Empire. They name Mount Everest in the western map after a British climber. The proper name is Qomolangma Shan.

China could have taken all the disputed territories after the 1962 War and preferred a negotiated settlement. This time China is going to take back the land by force if war breaks out.

What do we expect from the western (British) press when China is concerned. Its not that they are more concerned for India given that Britain never gave a shit about its South Asian subjects except to pillage the country's wealth during colonial times. Its that the bigger demon to them and all their Anglo Saxon cousins in 5 Eye grouping is China.

At least there are some English press that try to be balance and fair.
But not the Australian's, with regards to their reporting on China.

Indians still spreading the lie that it was a premeditated Chinese attack. From the above article written by a white man it was clear that the Indians entered a Chinese camp and tore down the tents. This led to the China hitting back.

How cocky and foolish these Indian fools were, thinking that they were the former British raj. The British raj could do that to them, but they cannot do that to China. The Chinese soldiers are well trained, not like the type of timid Chinese in SE Asia, to be bullied and dare not hit back. They are soldiers and would hit back like soldiers.

Now again China is showing all the goodwill like the 1962 War and returning 10 Indian prisoners. China does not want a war with India and value a good relationship with India. If it was a premeditated attack, China would not be so fast to return the prisoners but would keep them as bargaining chip. Hope this show of goodwill will be acknowledged and reciprocated.

After so many Indian provocations like the one at Doklam that caught the Chinese off guard and unprepared, Chinese knew what the Indians are up to and is well prepared to deal with their provocations. This is a lesson China is giving to the Indians, no more wild provocations and aggressive acts. You touch a Chinese worker or soldier you will be whacked hard.

Make peace and live as good neighbours.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has warned China of a “befitting reply” and assured the Indian Army that the sacrifices made “will not go in vain.”

Just try, China will be waiting. Throw everything you got if you dare. Typical aggressive and malevolent Indian rhetoric.

China has already built up all the forces for such an eventuality since the Doklam Incident. They knew the highly intoxicated Indians are up to no good.

China must take tough measures against trouble makers along its borders and in the South China Sea. Only by kicking the asses of these irritants would they stop harassing China.

The Indians are claiming that they were so innocent and it was China that did the provocation. Modi even said that India would respond to any provocation.

The Indians have a history of aggressiveness, behaviour just like the Americans, like big power. To claim that they were the innocent party in this brawl must be a joke. The Indians all over the world are cocky and loud and pretentious. They always project the image that they are the strong men and would throw punches with minimum restraints.

Without the military might of the Americans, they acted like they have all the means to throw punches. Being humble and restrained are not the virtues of the Indians. Boastfulness, braggarts, talking big and thinking highly of themselves are second nature of the Indians.

See how forceful they are in their treatments of their neighbours, resorting to force at every opportunity to show who is the big power in the region.

Ya agreed. Some one in the leadership should take responsibility and be sodomised jialat jialat to wake up to reality.

'India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Friday that his country was “hurt and angry” after a border clash with China that left 20 troops dead, and warned that the army has been given free reign to respond to any new violence.'

Talking big only. If the cocky Indian soldiers did not start the harassment the Chinese would not be bothered with them. Think Chinese soldiers got so much free time. Only the losers everyday trying to impress that they are the winners.

Tried to be funny, got whacked, then blamed China. Typical slippery tongues.

Army given free rein to start a war? Come on lah, afterwards become cry babies again. Everyday telling the world how powerful and strong India is...tsk, tsk, tsk. Third world mentality.

Below is the Indian version of the brawl, confirming that they went there to remove Chinese tents. How arrogant and offensive. And as usual, they were so brave and fought so valiantly even when out numbered and they won. But why crying loud about 20 deaths? India won lah. Go and celebrate, no need to cry father and cry mother like India lost.

New Delhi [India], June 21 (ANI): On the evening of June 15, the Indian 3 Infantry Division Commander with other senior officers was at an Indian post near the Y junction of Shyok and Galwan rivers in the eastern Ladakh sector as talks were to be held between the two countries.

The Indian security forces including the 16 Bihar Regiment were asked to ensure that the post was removed by the Chinese after which a small patrol was sent to convey the message, sources told ANI.

The Chinese observation post was manned by 10-12 soldiers who were told by the Indian patrol to go away from there as was agreed upon in the senior level military talks between the two armies. The Chinese refused to do so even as the Indian patrol returned to their unit to inform them about the development.

This was when the Indian troops with around 50 people and 16 Bihar Commanding Officer Colonel Santosh Babu in the lead, went on to tell the Chinese to go back further in their territory as they were on Indian soil.

Meanwhile, by the time the first Indian patrol returned from the site, the Chinese had called for reinforcements from their rear positions in the Galwan river valley who came with around 300-350 people.

As the Indian patrol reached, the sources said, the Chinese had already built up troops on higher ground around the observation post and kept the stones and weapons ready for launching an attack on the Indian troops.

As the two sides started talking, the discussion turned into a heated one and the Indian side started uprooting their tents and equipment. The Chinese, who had already prepared themselves for aggression against Indian troops, attacked the Indian side in which their first attack was on the 16 Bihar CO and Havildar Palani. After the CO went down, the Biharis lost control and started attacking the Chinese ferociously despite being heavily outnumbered and stones raining from the higher ground.

The fight went on for over three hours till late in the night in which several Chinese troops were either dead or injured seriously.

Next morning, when the situation calmed down relatively, the dead bodies of the Chinese troops were lying in the open and was handed over to them by Indian troops, sources said.

A total of around 100 troops took part in the operations from the Indian side while the Chinese had over 350 people on the location.
