Mahathir, Trump for National Day medals

When the next National Day comes around, we should present Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad and US President Donald Trump with medals for unintended lessons in national education. We should invite them here and hang the medals around their necks. I’ve already had the names of their medals worked out. For Mahathir, I’ll simply call it the WNLYWNE (With Neighbours Like You Who Needs Enemies) medal. For Trump, it’ll be the HTBYFBT (How To Betray Your Friends Big Time) medal, pure and simple. If you find the names jarring, I apologise. But clunky names usually come with clunky acts.
First the WNLYWNE medal.  Singaporeans, especially PM Lee, are grateful to Mahathir for rising from the dead (he said at 93, he ought to be dead) to lead Malaysia on another beggar-thy-neighbour incursion into Singapore waters. Move over Pedra Branca, here comes Johor Bahru port!  While Pedra Branca only had a few Malaysian vessels flitting in and out of its waters, the JB port actually had them parking brazenly in front of our summons aunties who couldn’t do a thing about it. But why the gratitude to Mahathir? For years, our PM Lee has been talking himself hoarse about external threats without eliciting a pulse from comatose Singaporeans. Then he got lucky. Enter Mahathir who did the job for him. Now Singaporeans know mushy stuff like external threats and national defence are not play, play. They are very real - as real as the mobilisation exercise that roused those RSAF servicemen from their Sunday siesta that Dec 10 afternoon. For helping PM Lee open Singaporeans’ eyes, Dr M richly deserves the WNLYWNE medal.
Next the HTBYFBT medal, which Trump also richly deserves. Read the headline of yesterday’s Straits Times article (28 Dec) by Leslie Fong and you will understand why - “The perils of trusting America: A reminder for Asian allies”. It was an essay on the US’ well-documented abandonment of allies - from the Hungary in 1956 through Vietnam and Cambodia in 1975 to Syria last week. When Trump precipitately announced that he was bringing the boys home from Syria after the “defeat” of ISIS, he made PM Lee’s job of justifying  Singapore’s jaw-dropping defence budget that much easier. Nobody will fight your fight for you. You will have to do the job yourself. Just read Donald “America First” Trump’s tweeter on his Syrian pullout - “Does the USA want to be the Policeman of the Middle East, getting NOTHING but spending precious lives and trillions of dollars protecting others who, in almost all cases, do not appreciate what we are doing? Do we want to be there forever?”.  For that - and for simplifying PM’s job - Trump deserves the HTBYFBT medal around his neck. Just don’t pull it tight.

I dunno whether to agree with you or to disagree with you on given Mahathir another medal so soon after he received so much accolades and medal and titles from Singapore for fostering and bettering relations between the two states. No?

Either you are wrong or some silly fucks are really wrong about Mahathir. Would all the titles and medal awarded to Mahathir during his recent visit be taken back due to his recent antics to challenge Singapore's territorial integrity? Mahathir is the last person in Malaysia that bothered to improve relations between Singapore and Malaysia. With for his to reveal all the things about 1MDB and how he would point his finger at Singapore then you know.

He is quietly contemplating on how to skin Singapore a piece at a time.

Singapore Ministers promise help to develop Andhra Pradesh and Amaravati.

Using whose money? Can the money be returned or just donation to India, charity using OPM?

If Singapore got so much money to give away, why the need to keep taxing the people with flimsy and silly excuses and dipping into their life savings in the CPF?

Mr Foo, if Singapore Leaders are more humble and not too arrogrant in showing off their punching of their puny weights, then the Neighbours would not antagonise us by having stormy realtions.

Mahatahir no need to have your puny no value wayang medal.

They can bestowed all sorts of tiltles and honours on him.

But he is not swayed by all these wayang hypocrisies that they are heaping on him.

He just wants to have a fair and live and let's live working realtionships.

Sinkieland always have the reason of abinding laws to take advantage of their others disadvantages.

NO EQ of Politicical realtionships and businesses give and take with others.

Only wants to win and conquer.
Like spoilt brats.Others will get sick of your attitude sooner or later.

Always remember what's goes out may also come down.

You can be Prosperous Today but be a Papuer Tomorrow.

You still needs others help to co-exist.

Now,they just tarik a little lession in not supplying you the cheap neccessities that you be enjoying all the while.

Prefered NOT to earn your monies.

Even let's them go to waste. Now you karang kabuk looking for other sources and trying to pacify the public by saying only affected us margainally.

Wait till Matland enforced their FULL self imposed Ban of all our Daily Supplies to us, then the Full Impact of life will be felt.

Sinkies are still too smug and arrogrant that they are a Superior Breed and their Govt is Right On with their policies.

At least I have Matland to go to and enjoy their way of afforable costs of living.

Good riddance to your arrogrance and hypocritically Paupers sufferings.

@ RB

I wouldn't bother with awarding them medals. Insulting both these cunts is just water off a duck's back. They have super thick skin, and massive egos.

In Book 1, Mencius tells us that it is good to remove bad leaders. By violence or killing them, if required. 🤓 OK, you govt internet spies, read carefully before you come at me with warrants for sedition: I didn't say "kill the king" OK? I merely reminded people that Mencius said so. Ya ya, I know Leong SH did a similar thing by posting an already published article...so what? The court hasn't decided yet, so fuck you. 🤪

Ok, maybe killing is way too violent...after all these 2 fuck-head leaders have "comedy gold" entertainment value. Mahathir makes our leaders kalam kabut, Trump makes the whole world kalam kabut. So, for me, I'm DELIGHTED at their behaviour. 👍🏻👌🏽 Both Malaysia ad the USA are in deep economic shit, and that to me is opportunities galore. For e.g.:

Far too many times we receive gifts which have no utility whatsoever. I think giving gifts of UTILITY is great --- because it goes beyond perfunctory gestures attempting to mask fakery and insincerity. Instead of medals, I suggest a cheaper alternative: DILDOS. Something they can shove up their arses. Something they can use on a frequent basis. 🤡
