The humanitarian and disaster centres are in place

With all the humanitarian and disaster centres in place, the Americans and its allies are ready to create a few disaster and war zones in Asia and Southeast Asia. Vietnam and the Philippines are all ready and eager to have a go at it by testing the military might of Chinese in claiming Chinese islands as theirs. This simple recipe for war and disaster is well tested everywhere, with American backings of course. With the Americans in the dark, these two countries would think they can pull the whiskers of China with impunity. China has made it clear that such nonsense will no longer be tolerated and is prepared to go to war with anyone, including the US.

In the north, the US and the South Koreans are provoking the North Koreans practically on a daily basis with war games on the North Korean borders. If there is a war between the two Koreans, the South Koreans deserved to be destroyed by the North. The beneficiaries of such a disaster would be Japan and the US. But the South Koreans can be comforted by the presence of US humanitarian and disaster centres to pick up the South Korean refugees.

Asian and Southeast Asian countries should take a closer look at the pathetic plight of the Arab countries and how they are constantly fixed by the US and European countries to be at war perpetually. The human tragedy of the Arab and Middle Eastern world should be a grim reminder to the rest of the world of what they could become if they allowed the western powers to subvert their national interests and ended fighting among themselves, and dragging their people to the stone age.

East Asia and Southeast Asia are at the brink of becoming another flash point, mired in conflicts and warfare, egged on, and under the tacit support of western powers. The regional culprits that are willing to go along will be the two semi colonies of the US in South Korea and Japan, and the newly crowned semi colonies of Vietnam and the Philippines. Would Asean and other Southeast Asian countries be sucked into such stupidity of self destruction against their will and national interests?

War is fun, full of opportunities for the rich and powerful, and full of opportunities for the ignorant masses to be maimed and to die for.

If China were so pants on head retarded, they'd have self destructed years ago.

GDP - composition by sector:

Military spending.
South Korea- 30.8 Billion. 2.7% of GDP
North Korea-North Korea's defense budget as $4.26 billion, or 18.8% of GDP.
MBT- North Korea- Popkhung-Ho. Suspected to be based on the Russian T-90 after the previous generation of T-72 proved woefully inadequate against American M1 in Iraq.
South Korea- K1-Based on the tried and tested M1A1 design, the SK had updated it to the K2 Model, basically the M1 with recent developments including point defense systems whch renders most IEDs and infantry anti-armour weapons obsolete.
Airforce- North Korea- Mig 21, which were proven so woefully inadequate that most nations don't bother flying them when fighting against a Nato airforce. NK pilots don't get much training, due to lack of fuel.

Population- North Korea-22 million
South Korea-48 million.

WMDs- North Korean- nuclear capability but no middle range ICBM with nuke warhead capability. Possible biological or chemical weapons.
S.Korea- under explicit promise of US nuclear umbrella and retaliation with WMD in case of WMD attack. UN Command with American troops ties the American promise to South Korea.

Do you even reasearch on the openly available strengths of both beligrents before spouting off? Incidentally, both sides are still at war.

Ask the richest and wealthiest man like Bill Gate to fight with a punk from Harlem and see who wins. Historical records have proven that the North had driven the South into the sea if the Americans did not step in.

The South Koreas are rich and wealthy and would not mind seeing Seoul turning into wasteland, seeing children without homes, without parents, without hands and legs. We should encourage the South Koreans to start a war with the North. The US mighty war machine is behind them to guarantee a win, but with some collateral damages.

Go, South Koreans, go. War is fun. Killing North Koreans is fun.

When war breaks out, any American ship within a 3000km radius from the Chinese coast will be history. Wanna bet? And if the Americans wanna lop ICBMs onto China, the Chinese will return the favour. Wanna bet?

Seriously? In a real fight, Bill. Because he won't be fighting by himself or alone. You see, when you're rich, you can buy something called weapons and hire something called bodyguards. Chances are the Harlem punk will be capped by one of his own homies. Gangbangers have shot their own for less.

Ah yes, the 1950 Korean War, where the North Koreans were Soviet trained and equipped with the latest Soviet weapons and had a thriving heavy industry.

Now let's take a look at the Soviet..oops! It's gone! Nevermind, let's take a look at their industry...oops! Rusting and aged! Haha, nevermind, still have the superior numbers and ideology..ahh close to a hundred thousand refugees hiding in North eastern China and several thousand risking death to get to South Korea. Outnumbered two to one.

So what's that about historical record again? Oh right, it's history. Much like the better living standards the N.Koreans enjoyed in the 70s and 60s due to Soviet aid.

"

Sure! I love taking money from stupid people. I'm assuming you're referring to the DF-21 ASBM when you referred to the 3k KM. A little refresher course.

The latest model- the DF-21 Mod 4 has an estimated range of 2.7K Km. However, this was an American estimate of the possible range and based on Chinese ASBM test on land against stationary targets.

Since China lacks CIWS systems and SSBM, anti balistic missle defenses which every carrier group is provided with, they have no way to calculate how this would affect the chances of hitting a moving target at sea.

This of course assumes that the US doesn't shoot down every last Chinese satelite providing the coordinates in the first place. Which they can since they know exactly where they are and unlike carriers and ships, move along a fixed trajectory.

If you're talking about nuclear tipped ICBM, there's no need for that. The US Fifth and Seventh Fleet based in Guam and Japan already have enough conventional firepower to level the Chinese East Coast and Northeast with conventional armarnents. Tomahawks do their jobs pretty well. Considering the fleet in Guam is well beyond the range of the DF-21's estimated range, and APRA, the American agency doing the estimates tends to overestimate the effectiveness of unproven systems, the Chinese coast will burn should China decided to expand the theatre of operations beyond something they can contain.

You can spare your ignorance by simply flip the pages of Janes and it will show you what the PLA have and what the US fears most.

A war between the US and China? The people in Pentagon are not as daft as you to envisage such a thing.

Oh rich guys can buy new and bigger weapons. The Americans no need to buy, they have everything but had to run with tails in between their legs against the poorly equipped Vietcongs with small arms.

This is the latest military history staring in your stupid face.

And you can spare me your condenscending tone by actually reading the updated editions and perhaps speaking with people in the many war colleges around. If there is an indig Chinese CIWS, we do not know of them. The S300 series may be comparable to the Patriot, but as Jane's sources tend to be Western military observers or from APRA-the same people who seriously overestimated the Soviets as the Chinese are very tight lipped about the exact specs, I'd not put too much faith into them.

"

If the Pentagon are not planning for such an eventualality, then they're not doing their jobs, which is to prepare for any sort of doomsday scenario. Besides, you think the Pentagon justifies their massive budgets by downplaying threats? Don't see them selling too many weapons like that.

"Oh rich guys can buy new and bigger weapons. The Americans no need to buy, they have everything but had to run with tails in between their legs against the poorly equipped Vietcongs with small arms.

Yes because poorly equipped VC are going to help them conquer the South China Sea or overrun the steely South Koreans who have spent the last six decades preparing for war.

The latest military history in the ME showed that American conventional superiority is so overwhelming that after the first Gulf War, most countries don't bother with armor, planes or ships when going to war with the Americans since all it does it become expensive bomb magnets.

China, aspiring superpower they are, of course does not have that option. They're forced to find a way to level the playing field somewhat and their doctrine is to seek to make any conventional war with the US so costly that the US decides against intervention rather than suck up the losses and press on.

Time to update your terms of reference, Chua. The Cold War's over and America's won.

Hi JayF,

Flipping a few pages of Jane's is not enough if you want to understand modern weapons and modern warfare. You need more military training and military service to know what you are talking about.

The US Pacific Commands are worried, deeply worried. You know why? You talking about S300 and Patriots? Elementary knowledge my friend.

Hi, it is not so productive talking about the superiority in arms.
More meaningful to discuss which country is more belligerent and the cause and purpose of its' hostility.
Why it has to behave such and justification of it's historical record in history.

The US was one of the most powderful in military and economy is beyond doubt. Does that gives it the moral to go about bullying and killing?

Hi Chua,

Served my time in the service for 4 years, taught in university by people who were attached to Bonn during the height of the Cold War where Europe was a hair trigger away from Armagaddeon, and was an attache in Seoul during the times N.Korea tested out their nukes. The first one especially, never saw the Chinese that irate, and they're already pretty pissed at how North Korea sometimes springs a surprise on everyone, including them. Sat in briefings by senior commanders from the UN Command several times.

All I can say is this, alot of things get defused before it goes onto the news and many times, the worse case scenarios get bounced about by the brass because that's what their training teaches them. Assume the worst.

If you remember the run up to Desert Storm, everyone, including most of the brass in the Pentagon was expecting a long, bloody war. Body bags were massed and they actually made new Purple Hearts despite the 400k left over from the aborted invasion of Japan. Turns out most of the threat was imagined.

You know why Paccom is so worried? Because it's what they do. Unfortunately, it's usually the one you're not worried about that bites you in the ass.

Same could be said for the PLAN though. Remember the stealth helicopters used to kill OBL? The Russians and Chinese didn't even bother with such research cuz they thought something with that many moving parts can't possiby be stealth and safe. Now they worry what other toys the Americans have up their sleeves.

Chua Chin Leng蔡镇龍 aka redbean said...

The US as the Empire thinks empire every second. Yes they planned all kinds of war scenarios, even Armaggeddon. But they too are sensible enough not to go down that road or total annihilation.

The American military doctrine is to fight wars with extreme and overwhelming military superiority. Even then they are finding it difficult to fight people's war when the people hated them. They are still struggling in Afghanistan and even Iraq. A no win situation unless they are prepared to bomb them to stone age.

They used to be able to hit China at will. But that advantaged has been neurtralised. The 7th Fleet has been neutralised with the commissioning of the DF-21D. The PLA can now deny the American naval presence in the East and South China Seas the moment hostility is declared. All the naval and air bases in South Korea and Japan would be targetted first.

What's next is Armaggeddon if the Americans are willing to elevate the war to the next level. The PLA is no longer fearsome of the Americans in conventional warfare.

The Americans and the silly South Koreans still think war is a party. The tragedies that will befallen on the Korean race is unimaginable. They will be reduced to the status of the Red Indians should war break out. I am amazed by the stupidity of the South Koreans in trying to provoke a war at the instigation of the Americans.
