Nature provides an environment for life. Man destroying the environment to end life. What climate change?

If the sun's massive energy can be tapped from space, unhindered by dust particles, blocking clouds, bad weather conditions and other atmospheric anomalies, and transmitted from outer space to earth, it opens up another source of unlimited renewable energy source for China.

We never realize that human lives are totally dependent on the sun, every aspect of it. We just take it as something natural and fail to appreciate how much a part the sun played in our very existence.

First, without the sun, the earth will be just a frozen planet, devoid of living things, like the poles. Polar bears and some animals may be able to adapt, but they too depend on availability of prey for food, whose existence are not certain without the existence of a food chain beginning from basic planktons that also needed sunlight to grow.

Secondly, without sunlight, plants cannot grow. Plants are the only living thing able to manufacture their own food using the sun's energy, something that animals and humans cannot replicate. And plants also provide food for animals to survive, in turn to provide food for humans. Everything in our lives revolves around the sun - the wind, the rain, the flowing rivers, the waves, the seasons, our food.

Sad that nature created a living environment so intricately intertwined, which humans are now destroying - creating wars of destruction, new forms of pollution like extracting more fossil fuel, creation of mountains of plastics and not to mention weapons of mass destruction. As if destroying nature itself is not bad enough.

No more Singaporeans - back to resident and non resident

SINGAPORE: After a previous drop, resident employment rose again as Singapore's labour market continued to expand in the third quarter of 2024, according to the Ministry of Manpower's (MOM) latest report released on Monday (Dec 9).

This increase comes amid an overall expansion in employment, driven largely by non-residents. CNA

in the article in CNA, "Rebound in resident employment as Singapore labour market expands in Q3. Resident employment grew by 4,000 after a drop in Q2, MOM data showed", it was mainly about resident and non resident. The word citizen appeared once, "Unemployment rates continued to fall in September (1.9 per cent overall, 2.6 per cent for residents and 2.7 per cent for citizens), while the resident long-term unemployment rate remained unchanged at 0.8 per cent, just like the past two quarters."

And the word Singaporean was mentioned once, in the last sentence, “The government will continue to invest heavily in Singaporeans to enable them to compete strongly amidst continuous economic transformation and prevailing global uncertainties,” said MOM.

When would the word Singaporean disappear from the statistics of MOM? When would the word Singaporean becomes taboo in Singapore?

I still remember Lawrence Wong's maiden speech as the PM, when he kept repeating the word Singapore more than 10 times. When the PM mentioned the word Singaporean, it means that he is still thinking about Singaporeans, at least.

Has MOM forgotten that there are Singaporeans in Singapore and their interest, especially in getting employed in good jobs is very important to their existence in the most expensive city in the world? When would the word Singaporean be erased from the vocabulary or dictionary of Singapore and the citizens would have to call themselves resident or local, and when asked to fill in their job application letters or official forms, or in their ICs, they would fill in the word, resident, and not Singaporean?

I am a resident of this island. I am not a Singaporean?

What do you think? With the continuous influx of foreigners and given citizenship or PR, EP. WP, would resident and non resident be the official terms for the people in this island? Can Singaporeans be exempted from NS when they started to be officially called resident and not citizen?

China finally decides to protect Myanmar from the American terrorists

Commentary: Chinese security companies are putting boots on the ground in Myanmar. It could go disastrously wrong.  This is another China bashing article by an Australian, Adam Simpson, appearing in CNA. This is typical of all the western media and writers about China. Everything China did is wrong and would.

This is the first time that China has decisively taken steps to protect friendly countries from being destroyed and overthrown by foreign provocateurs and terrorists funded and backed by the Americans. On the other hand, the Americans have been doing this as second nature for decades all over the world, especially in Africa and the Middle East, putting boots on the ground, eg American special forces, mercenaries aka contractors, terrorists, CIA operators, to over throw govts, and very successful except for a few when the govt forces are strong enough to keep them out and to defeat them.

China and Russia have been staying out from meddling with the internal affairs of other countries and helplessly seeing their friends and allies being taken down and replaced by rebels and terrorists friendly or supported by the Americans and the West. Syria is the latest victim, with Russia, with boots on the ground, but failing to act, with their hands tied by agreements with the Americans and Israelis, we don't hit you, you don't hit us, but allowing the Americans and Israelis to hit Syria unrestrained...leading to its collapse and Assad fleeing. This is a big failure on the part of Russia, with anti aircraft weapons but not using them to take down Israeli and American warplanes.

China cannot afford to let Myanmar fall to pro American forces and wipe out its investments in Myanmar and have endless trouble on its borders. The fall of Iraq was a lesson not learnt. Now the fall of Syria is a wake up call. Stop restraining yourself by the policy of non interference and allow your friends to be taken down by the Americans and anti China forces.

'China has decided to unequivocally back the junta after years of hedging its bets, but its support opens the door for various complications, says this international studies lecturer,' in his article. Why not? Actually it is too late, but better late than never. The lecturer also admitted, ' China was rather late to the game of overseas private operators, but it has plenty of recent models to follow, such as Russia’s Wagner Group and the Blackwater company from the United States.' China and Russia must up their games to protect their friends against the intervening behaviour of the Americans. This is something that China must copy from the American terrorists. The Americans did not apologise for their warmongering and expansionist behaviour. And the western media did not condemn such interventionist behaviour, even supporting them with cheers of victory in Syria.

It is good that China finally wakes up from its failed non interference policy. If China continues blindly not to interfere to protect its friends and interests, soon China will have no friends. Russia also must wake up from the same sickness. Kim Jong Un is the smartest of the lot and knows his nation's survival depends on having friends to fight together. The American terrorists have been operating on the same principle for so long, invading and bringing down countries, by ganging up and coercing their colonies and doggies to fight alongside, making them complicit to their war crimes. The American forces are already in Myanmar to overthrow the govt!

The world is a nasty place for small and weak states when the American terrorists are everywhere, using force to subdue and bully their enemies. Caveat, China was not strong enough in the past to take on the Americans and their doggies head on in a hot war. China today is able to do and with Russia and like minded countries like North Korea and Iran on its side, the table has turned and the new combination can no longer be bullied or defeated by the American terrorists and their doggies.

Every big change needs a first step. The rest would take its natural course. Hope China does not chicken out because of such silly articles by the West. Myanmar cannot fall! Russia and Iran must act to stay on in Syria.

When China started to be tough with its foreign policies against the hostile West, the West launched a media campaign against China, calling it Wolf Warrior Diplomacy. Some in China fell to this trick, and quickly hid under the table. No, China will not be Wolf Warriors, and went back to being meek and got slap left and right again and again without fighting back, afraid to fight back, embarrassed to fight back.

Would China again hide under the table when the western media starts to attack its involvement in Myanmar to protect its interests and the lives of Chinese engineers and businessmen and quickly withdraw the security agencies from Myanmar to please the West and the western media? For sure, the American terrorists are already inside Myanmar to overthrow the Myanmar govt and to destroy Chinese investments and to kill Chinese working in Myanmar. And the American propaganda machine and doggie media would not say a word about their criminal activities in Myanmar.

China cannot lose Myanmar by default, by inaction, by being meek, to appease the American savages. Losing Myanmar is like losing Taiwan, and about to lose South China Sea islands, for being weak and meek. If China were to lose Myanmar, Taiwan or islands in the South China Sea, it is China's fault. Do not blame anyone else. When China is afraid to protect its own interests and land, it deserves to lose them.

How did China overrun the industrial and manufacturing might of the Americans and the West, including Japan, in warp speed?

Normally for an industry to kill off its competitors, it takes years, even decades to be able to take over just specific sectors. The Japanese took decades to take over car manufacturing from the USA. Same for the Japanese taking over the electronics industry and shipbuilding from the USA.

In turn, the South Koreans took years to pry away the Japanese domination of the electronics sector like high-definition TVs, shipbuilding and infrastructure construction.

But the speed of China taking over many industries is at warp speed, which caught the USA, EU, Japan and South Korea by surprise and instilled un-nerving fear in them. China did not ever indicate openly to the USA or the West that it was trying to dominate industries, which probably did not even cross the minds of the USA and the West at all. China had been looked upon as a nation of unprogressive cooks and laundrymen. But the quiet domination of China in many sectors of industries was really nerve-wracking for the USA and its allies when the reality confronted them.

The USA, EU and Japan are now closing more and more car factories, probably the last legacy of their illustrious domination, due to falling sales and inability to compete arising from costly labor, expensive energy, lack of skilled labor stifling innovation and productivity. The West blamed everything on subsidies. We know that long term subsidies cannot be sustained and will bankrupt China in no time. How is that a reason for every car manufacturer in China to be subsidized when China is not at liberty to print money like the USA.

Many economists have touched on the fact that it took centuries for Western countries to industrialize and dominate particular industries. China just took 30 to 40 years to do what the West took centuries to do in the past. That is the kind of fear that China is posing to the USA and the West.

USA's greatest pre-occupation is to open up more fronts for conflict against Putin

Nowhere in time is it more important for China to ban all essential material exports for making weapons than today, right now, when the USA and the West needs weapons for them to expand regime changing activities now ongoing in Syria, Georgia and Romania among others.

The USA's greatest pre-occupation is to open up more fronts for conflict against Putin, in the hope of collapsing Russia totally. Brian Berletic on his site 'The New Atlas' is of the opinion that Russia should not spread its involvement too widely over what is happening in Syria or Georgia but just concentrate its resources on its mission in Ukraine. Russia must not fall into the same trap as the former 'Soviet Union' trying to compete against the USA in the arms race. That lesson must be learnt, not forgotten.

Let the people in Syria decide what they want to do with a regime change in Syria that is sure to mirror the situation in Iraq. A religious war cannot be settled by a regime change. The USA is not going to rebuild Syria, and we can be sure of that. Even rebuilding USA's domestic infrastructure is not happening. If the Syrian people buy into the USA propaganda of a better life with a regime change, they will regret ultimately.
