European nuts did what the USA wanted them to do

Not to be blindsided, the European nuts did what the USA wanted them to do, which is to expand NATO closer to the Russian border so that the USA can station nukes nearer to Moscow. That is the objective. It is just a ploy of borrowing sword to kill someone. In this case the sword being borrowed is getting destroyed instead.

Economically, Europe, especially the Germans, have hollowed out industries due to the expensive energy crisis. No more cheap energy from Russia means industries have to look elsewhere to survive. It benefits the USA both ways according to plan. If Europe failed to get cheap energy from Russia, the USA will be able to provide them with plentiful but highly expensive energy. European dependency on Russia just went the other way, Westward, but having to paying much more.

If Europe hollowed out its industry, the USA was hoping those industries will shift to the USA. But most of them did not do so. Instead, some went to China where energy is cheap and labor still not as expensive as moving to the USA. Businesspeople knew that if they relocate to USA, they will die sitting up.
