Why Xi wants to help Trump who is out to kill China?

About the aid to Argentina, it is all part of Trump's 'Art of the Deal', that only Trump knows how it operates. Besides bankrupting USA, Trump is about to bankrupt Argentina - his seventh and eighth bankruptcy to be added to his feathered cap.

Yet, the other clowns in his administration are urging him on, cheering him to push the USA over edge of the cliff. Instead of advising him and correcting him to take the correct path, they are just fawning and massaging his ego right in front of him to garner loyalty points.

Manufacturing is not moving into the USA when tariffs are making raw materials like steel and aluminum too expensive for making things inside the USA to be meaningfully competitive. Job creation is not what is as reported but just a mirage that is soon to disappear months down the road. We now know job creation is a gas balloon being blown up into grotesque proportions for boasting purposes. Other countries are not paying the tariffs and internally USA consumers are footing the bill. Tens of billions are being collected from USA consumers, not from exporters in other countries. More fun is on the cards as the USA moves nearer to the end of the year.

Trump is in desperate straits as farmers are clueless how to deal with agricultural produce like soya beans and corn that have just been harvested but lying in warehouses and silos waiting to rot instead of having been shipped out. Trump is now pressuring China to buy more, but why would China oblige when Trump is out to destroy China. Buying from Russia and Brazil is now more meaningful and caring for countries inside BRICS supporting de-dollarization. China will never let such an opportunity be hijacked by helping Trump out of his trouble. Why help a country that is not grateful for the help as during the 2008 financial crisis, and who has turned around to do China in. Only stupid countries will do that.

India will never reconcile with China

India's relation with China is unlikely to be reconciled for a long time to come. The problem is on the side of India rather than from China. China has been throwing the olive branch to India many times but was rudely snubbed by India. India's border problems with China cannot be resolved as the premises for India's claim, based on lines drawn by the British during the height of British colonialism cannot and will not be acceptable to China. When China did not agree to British annexation by force, there is no reason for China to allow India to claim Chinese lands that were taken by the British. Period. But India is intransigent, thinking and behaving as if India is the inheritance of the British Empire and what the British seized now belongs to India. India is another big empire, the Bharat Empire. And India will take what it wants or what it claims according to India's interpretation of things. In other words, India's rules of law.

India also suffered from this inferior or superior complex over China. While China is clinging to its developing status, while the Americans wanted China to rescind this as an unfair advantage, that China must revert itself to the status of a developed state, India cannot stomach China as a developed nation while India is struggling in the third world. India is still sneering and wanting to believe that China is a developing nation, worse off than India. Indian cities are much better than China in everything, even in high speed trains and aircraft carriers and 5th gen fighters. India's 5th gen fighter is still on the drawing board. China is flying 6th gen fighters and bombers every day, but India's 5th gen fighter will destroy China's 6th fighters.

To India, China is a developing state just like India, and ranking about 50 in per capita count, speaking and sneering China for that, ignoring its own ranking in per capita count, probably right at the bottom of the ladder., poorer than many African states, definitely lower than Bangladesh. To India, it is all about national pride, that India cannot be a loser to China. India is better than China, must be better than China.  India is the empire to rule Asia, not China.

India arrogantly dismissed China as a country without friends, as if India has a lot of friends. How many of India's neighbours can be called India's friends? How many of China's neighbours can be called China's friends? In many instances, India rudely told China that it is not a friend of China. This is how arrogant and unfriendly are the Indians to China. And silly Chinese leaders still trying their best to appease India, wanting to curry favour of Indian leaders. Why would a world superpower want to tolerate the arrogance of a toddy intoxicated Mickey Mouse?

China should stop trying to appease India, thinking that India can become China's friend. Even after being slapped and kicked around by Trump, India is hoping against all hopes to be on good terms again with the Americans so that it can turn hostile to China again. China should give up all delusions that India can be a friend. The earlier the better.

It would be better for China to ignore India completely, even stop trading with India. China does not need India's trade and can trade with the rest of world. Just keep India at a distance. India wants to buy Chinese products, sell them, COD. Nothing less. There is absolutely no reason for China to want to invest in India and be robbed bankrupt. Period. India without China trade would fall deeper into the abyss. Can't imagine what kind of trade India will have without China supplying all the raw material and components and all the cheap consumer goods. Can't imagine what kind of mobile phones would the Indians be using if Chinese companies stop selling mobile phones to India, no Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo etc etc. What would happen if China stopped selling EV cars and buses to India?

Would the Indians be queuing up to buy Apple phones, buy Mercedes and BMWs? They cannot even afford Toyotas or Hondas. How are India's manufacturing and assembly plants going to run without inputs from China? Despite the overdependence and reliance on China, India expects China to continue to sell to India while India takes the stand that China is enemy and would not want to reconcile with China and would not give up its claims on Chinese lands stolen by the Brits which India thinks it has automatic rights to inheritance of British stolen assets.

Some countries can be won over as friends of China. Even America can be won over despite the huge number of hillbillies and white supremacists and racists. There are enough reasonable and clear thinking Americans that would come around to accept that a compromise for peaceful coexistence with China is the lesser evil. As far as India is concerned, the stubbornness, arrogance and deeply rooted hatred for China, especially after the 1962 War cannot be erased from the Indian memory. After failing to steal Chinese land by invasion, the official India narrative was rewritten to blame China for the invasion, just like Operation Sindoor.

India's pompousness in challenging China, parroting the American vicious lie, can China be trusted? China should simply ask India the same question, can India be trusted? More than 150 nations are China's top trading partners. What does it say about trust? How many nations are India's top trading partners? Even Trump, supposedly India's good friend, did not trust India. How many countries are investing billions and billions in China instead of India? If these countries or companies did not trust China, they would not throw good money into China. How many companies are pulling out of India after investing in India? Don't they trust their monies in India anymore?

Operation Sindoor is India's way of telling the world that it cannot be trusted. It was caught red handed, as good as with its pants down, when so many aircraft were shot down by Pakistan, but India audaciously said no, that it was the one that shot down several Pakistan aircraft to the bewilderment of the world. How to trust India when they lied in front of the world when the evidence is all there for the whole world to see, when the Americans, French and the West all called India's bluff?

It is like two persons inside a lift, an Indian and another. Then one farted. The other person knew very well that he didn't. But the Indian swears that he did not, not me, not me.

When the shit hits the fan, the USA needs China more than what China needs from the USA

USA tried to bully China in many areas, but what is the result?

Trump wanted to start a trade war with China, and he got it. China retaliated by ditching USA soya beans and corn and buying from other sources, giving countries like Brazil and Russia more business within BRICS and helping with de-dollarization, killing two birds with one stone. Now, Scott Bessant is almost in tears accusing China of using agriculture to hold USA farmers hostage. Is he really serious? What about the USA holding China hostage over high-end chips and technology? Who started the trade war and now who is suffering the consequences? Why is Scott Bessant whining about farmers being held hostage while the USA is doing exactly the same thing to China in chips.

Now, trade between China and the USA has dropped significantly due to the tariffs. China now has no qualms about decoupling from the USA, while the USA is now caught in its own trap. China already warned it is ready for any war with the USA. Is Scott Bessant going to blame China for the drop in trade between the two countries? Who started the tariff nonsense? Now, who is suffering the consequences?

USA consumers and retailers need Chinese products for the end of year festive season and has difficulty sourcing for similar products elsewhere. China has little problem with imports from the USA that it can't buy from elsewhere like energy from Russia and Iran and is thus not too worried about the declining two- way trade.

When the shit hits the fan, the USA needs China more than what China needs from the USA. This has been proclaimed loud and clear by the desperation shown by Scott Bessant regarding the plight of USA farmers. But, too bad, the Chinese market is gone for them forever.

Parallel system to bypass American sanctions

BRICS and the SCO have been working feverishly to come up with alternative systems to run parallel to the existing American and western controlled world order. Dedollarisation, alternative financial systems, trading systems, Global position system, telecommunication system, even systems to replace Google, Facebook, Android, etc etc. The rest of the world needs to be free from the domination and oppression of the Americans and the West. As it is today, the Americans are holding the world in ransom with threats, sanctions, embargoes, military interventions and wars. Be American doggies or else....

The earlier BRICS and SCO can come up with these parallel systems, the earlier the rest of the world can be free from American bullying and oppression. Many systems are now in operation and working fine and would soon replace what the Americans and the West have put in place. It is not easy to walk away from the current world order as the Americans are going to play rough. Trump has renamed his Defence Ministry as a Department of War, sending a clear message that war is coming from the Americans. The first victim is likely to be Venezuela. Russia and China are watching closely to defend Venezuela and words and diplomacy would come up short if the Americans decided to invade Venezuela.

The military display by China in Victory Day would mean nothing if China is not ready to play its part, to face up to the Americans militarily.  Venezuela may be a bridge too far for China. The logistics and supply chains are strongly against China.

Other than a military confrontation with the Americans, with the Americans still having a lot of advantages, other means of breaking free from the American hegemony are safer alternatives. The Americans could bully and threaten the world by sanctions and the weaponisation of the dollar and the financial system. These are only effective if countries have to trade with the Americans and fear sanctions and being cut off from the dollar and financial system.

While parallel systems by BRICS and SCO could be options, countries can also create parallel systems or find ways to by pass the American threat. Stopping trade and not using the dollar are ways to go. Countries can also set up companies specifically to trade with each other, trade on goods and products banned by the Americans. Let the Americans ban these companies for all they want while others can keep safe by not giving the Americans a reason to ban or sanction them. Yes, parallel list of companies  to trade in a parallel system on prohibited or banned products and items can exist side by side with the rest. Caveat, silly governments must not yield to American pressure to arrest operators of these parallel companies. At worst, let them cease operation and operate under new companies with new names and on and on. Let the Americans go on a wild goose chase. Just close one eye like what the Americans are doing to their own banks involved in money laundering big time.

Learn from the treacherous and hypocritical Americans. The CIA is a good example of an organisation operating parallel from the legal system, untouchable by law, with the Americans not wanting to know what they are doing. Nothing seen, nothing heard, so never mind. Never exist, no crimes.

The good life turning Singaporeans soft...rugged society?

Commentary: The race to stack internships is hurting young people

The push to take up internships at a young age pressures teens into working before they even know themselves, says CNA's Izza Haziqah.

SINGAPORE: “How many internships did you do?” That was one of the first questions a student from my alma mater asked me when we met at a recent book club.

When I replied, “Just one, in university,” his eyes widened.

He had already completed two internships even before starting his second year, and he still felt like he was falling behind.

This kind of pressure is increasingly common among young people in Singapore amid anxieties about employability. CNA

Our young are so poor things. They need more sayang sayang for being forced to work at such tender age. Why pushed them so hard? Why not let them enjoy their lives, enjoy K pops, J pops, more clubbings, more vapings?

A few decades ago there was a rugged society campaign. Now it is lost in the memories of the senior citizens. In the 1950s, things were quite different. Everyday, mothers, grandmothers and children as young as 6 or 7 years would go out in tow, like going for a picnic, but actually stomping into factories to sieve coffee beans. The whole family would sit around a mat and the mothers or grandmothers would cart a bag of coffee beans to be sorted out. Every member of the family would be busy picking out the spoilt beans, debris from the piles of coffee beans. When fully sorted out, the family would be paid a dollar or two for each bag of clean and good beans. That was life in the 1950s.

Children that did not do well in primary schools, or did not like studies were not a problem. The parents would send them to the kopitiams to serve kopis to feed themselves, a big relief to the family. And some would end up carrying a piece of bamboo and stick, walking around the kampong, hitting the bamboo, tok tik tok, tok tik tok, in search of customers to buy a bowl of noodles. They will carry the bowl of noodles to the customers in their homes, for 20c a bowl. The young boys, probably pre teens or in their early teens, would get a few dollars a month for their effort or jobs. No body complained about child labour and life being tough for the young boys.

For those that were more able, finishing Senior Cambridge was the final hurdle to start job hunting to supplement the family's income. At 16 or 17, many would take on the burden to upkeep the family and looking after their younger siblings. What internship? Getting a job was like striking lottery.

The plight of today's young, to be forced into internship, is a luxury that pioneering generation Singaporeans did not have and would not complain about. To the pioneering generations, getting a job, any job, after Senior Cambridge, ie O level, was a big achievement, a big step in life to shoulder more responsibilities.

The strawberry generation never had it so good. Are they complaining or are their parents complaining that life is too harsh for them?
