The more Goh Chok Tong speaks ill of China, the more he loses whatever little respect that we still accord to him because of his mediocre and highly expensive services to Singapore. He is behaving as he has said before, Bo Tua Bo Suay.

If he is wise enough to know that his time is over the hill, he would do well to stop speaking badly about other people and other countries.

To do justics for the people of Singapore, the only bad things that we welcome Goh Chok Tong to tell all of us is how he had screwed up all of us with the escalating costs of living due to his policies - such as his introduction of the CPF fixed returns of 2.5% interest rate instead of the variable 8-10% previously promised by the Pioneer leaders, and his introduction of the COE, the ERP, the enhanced HDB Pricing, the get-rich-quick Ministerial salary and bonuses, the creation of lob-sided CECA in favour of India, the import of foreign trash disguised as foreign talents, etc. etc.

He has also to shoulder the responsibility and account to all Singaporeans all the ills that he has brought upon us, not just the self-praising stuffs he has projected in his two books: Tall Order and Standing Tall.

To do justice to us, he should write an antithesis called the "Tall Unfulfilled Promises", depicting all the unfulfilled promises he had made to us as the 2nd Prime Minister of Singapore, e.g. Swiss Standards of Living, More Good Years, Growing Old Graciously, Soccer 2000, etc.

Plus, of course, all the ills that have been caused by his love for India and everything Indian.

Only then will justice be done, not all but at least some.

Covid19 vaccines - Discrimination against the seniors

The govt are complaining that many seniors are not getting the jabs and came up with stereotype reasons, fear of side effects. Why don't they admit the real reasons why many seniors refused to get their jabs?

Fear of side effects of mRNA vaccines is true but only part of the problem. Many would not mind getting the jab using Sinovac. But for some queer reasons, the govt is adamant in refusing to use the Sinovac vaccine and forcing the seniors to go to private clinics to get jab and to pay for it. And it is not cheap for the seniors, two jabs at $25 means getting poked twice and having to pay $50 for the pain.

Think, you millionaires may not think too much of $50. But it is a lot of money for the seniors to pay. When is the govt going to admit their mistake in discriminating against the seniors and making the jabs free for the seniors like the mRNA vaccine? The seniors would not mind signing an indemnity form to absolve the govt from the side effects of the Sinovac vaccine. This is a choice that the seniors made and would be responsible for their own actions. Can you hear that?

So why is the govt stubbornly refusing to use the Sinovac vaccine for the seniors when the seniors would not make the govt responsible for any side effects? And with more than a billion people worldwide using this vaccine, and with some Singaporeans that cannot use mRNA vaccines already jabbed with the Sinovac vaccine without any severe side effects, it is puzzling to see why the govt is playing tough.

If the govt is serious in wanting the seniors to get their jabs, just do it and stop putting obstacles in their path. It is the govt that is making it difficult for the seniors to get their vaccine jabs, not that the seniors are hesitant or refusing to get the jabs. It is the govt that wants everyone to be jabbed, including the seniors. You want the seniors to be jabbed and you want them to pay for it?

Getting a jab is not only to protect the seniors but also the community, and to allow the govt to open up for foreigners to come in. The govt wants the seniors to get jabs so that they can open up the country. And they provide free mRNA vaccine jabs that are more expensive but want the seniors to pay more for cheaper Sinovac jabs? Is the govt trying to make the seniors look like suckers?

By making Sinovac free like mRNA vaccines, many seniors will be queuing up for the jabs. No need to sweat the small stuff. No need to go knocking door to door. Save the effort. It would be pointless, they would still not go for the jabs and having to pay for $50 for them.

PS. If getting the seniors to be vaccinated is so important, why make the seniors pay for the jabs for Sinovac vaccine? Should not the govt be paying for it for the good of the community and the economy? Asking the seniors to pay so that the govt can open up the economy and country? What kind of logic is that? Xiao lang logic?

WHO IS CALLING THE SHOTS IN SINGAPORE NOW?

It is well-known that too many cooks will spoil the soup. Similarly, too many Indian Chieftains controlling Singapore spell troubles for National Harmony, Integrity and Unity.

Putting all the fragile and golden eggs into one single basket is not only stupid but dangerous. This does not look right at all - from all angles, from all logics, from all reasonable people. .

It clearly shows that the highest leadership in Singapore is either sleeping or very reckless.

No national leader worth his salt would put so many Indian chiefs in top, key and critical positions that call the shots for the masses. This is especially so for newly converted Indian nationals whose loyalty to Singapore have yet to be tested, whose assimilation into our Singapore society has yet to be fully accepted by the masses, whose faithfulness and trustworthiness have yet to be proven in the long-term publicly.

Such careless and reckless deployment and positioning of Indian ethnic people out of proportion to their ethnic population in Singapore in top, key and critical positions is not only extremely unfair to the other ethnic groups, but also spells troubles and long-term national disasters. It creates disquiet, unhappiness, envy, jealousy and hatred amongst other sidelined people who may be much qualified and experienced than the Indian nationals, whose only distinction seem to be the ability to smooth and sweet talk about almost anything under the sun to get their ways throught at all costs. People with such a quality are only good as sales persons, definitely not holders of top, key and critical positions. In fact, it is very dangerous to put such smooth and sweet talkers in such positions.

Unless, one has been arm-twisted or blackmailed into submission, no sane leaders would not have prevented such careless and reckless deployment of human resources from taking place.

The bottom line, really, is this:

"WHO IS CALLING THE SHOTS IN SINGAPORE NOW?"

Is it still the Prime Minister of Singapore, or someone else in the shadowy corridor of power manipulating the Prime Minister like a puppet?

From our perspective on the ground level, it definitely looks like some shady figure is heavily influencing the Singapore's leadership decisions and national policies.

If so, that is terribly and horribly wrong. It looks like a very subtle coup d'etat. Immediate remedial actions must be taken to make it right.

Little pygmy Japan wants to join US to confront China over Taiwan.

      The inconsequential pygmy of the East, Japan thinks it is a goliath and wants to join the US to confront China over Taiwan. In doing so Japan is asking to be slaughtered by China and the Chinese people and it will be sweet revenge for all the violent and beastly atrocities that they had inflicted on the Chinese people from 1870s to 1945.

Today, this day on July 7th, 1937 witnessed Japanese all out war against China and the Massacre of Nanking in which over300, 000 Chinese were brutally massacred. This most cruel and brutal war on China from 1937 to 1945 by the Japanese had caused the violent death of over 50 million Chinese people. Though the Chinese people have yet to avenge the atrocities and wanton killings of the beastly Japs yet these savage Japs remain unrepentant and want to join the barbaric white Americans to confront China again. China needs to teach these savage Japs and the barbaric Americans a very lasting painful lesson once for all so that they will never dare to threaten China again.

The Opium Wars of 1839 -18342 and 1856 - 1860 exposed the China of the decadent Ching Dynasty as weak and corrupt. Since then every Western power wanted to take advantage of China. They wanted to carve out China and have a share of Chinese territory as their colony. Japan joined the Western predators to nibble Chinese territories at the seams. 

In the 1870s Japan  attacked Korea, then a part of Chinese sovereign territory. In the treaty of Kangwha on February 24th, 1876 it forced China to recognize the independence of Korea. At about the same time Japan was creating trouble in the Chinese island of Taiwan and in  Liu-Chiu Islands which it then annexed in 1879. In the meantime the Japanese naval force had been engaging the Chinese navy in protracted naval battles. Eventually China lost total naval defeat  and in the Treaty of  Shimonoseki on April 17th, 1895 , China was forced to give up Taiwan and the Pescadores to Japan, formally recognized the independence of Korea and to pay Japan a war indemnity of a few hundred million Chinese silver dollars. Treacherous Japan then proceeded to formally and officially annexed Korea as part of the Japanese empire in 1910.

There was very strong and angry reaction by the Chinese people to the Shimonoseki Treaty. Thousands of  Chinese students in universities and the Chinese people in China and Taiwan urged the government to reject the treaty and keep on fighting the Japanese.

The Chinese governmment was so weak and corrupted that it could do nothing but to accept the Japanese occupation of Taiwan and the Liu-chiu islands as fait accompli.  Since no one could stop the Japanese aggression it was emboldened to stir further troubles in China. Japan did not want to lose its chance of colonizing parts of Chinese mainland which the Western powers were then engaging in partitoning China as their spheres of control.  

In the early 1931 Japan proceeded to occupy the north-eastern Chinese province of Manchuria. Since the Western powers themselves had indulged in gouging out Chinese territories for their spheres of influence they had to quietly acquiesce to Japanese aggression and occupation of Manchuria. This emboldened the Japanese and it culminated in its full and forceful invasion of China from 1937. This Sino-Japanese war lasted for eight years from 1937 to 1945, the end of the Second World War.

Japan was finally defeated by the firm determination, grit and gumption and solid resolve of the Chinese people led by the communist arm forces of the People's Liberation Army of Chairman Mao Tse-Tung and his brilliant colleagues of comrades in arms.

In this Sino-Japanese war over 50 million Chinese died a violent death through the atrocities of Japanese soldiers and further hundreds of millions suffered in agonous pain and hunger amidst the wanton destruction of Chinese homes, towns and cities. But ultimately China was able to turn from a lost situation into final victory over the Japanese invaders. 

Today China and the Chinese people are again facing the most critical danger since the end of the Second World War in 1945 from even the more dangerous warmongering United States which together with its Western allies and Japan are determined to destroy China and the Chinese people once more just because the Chinese have shown fast and tremendous progress and excelled the US and the West in many fields of sciennce, technology, high tech, trade, industry and commerce. To them China a non-white country is not allowed to surpass the West. They said China and the Chinese people must be brought down by all ways and means if not through peaceful means then it is necessary through wars. 

The United States is desperate and declining through its own fault and evil actions of permanent aggressions and wars on other countries but are illogically putting all the blames on China as a scapegoat.

However, whatever it is in a strong and united China today, the Chinese people will never again be bullied by any other country and should the US and its Western allies and Japan in a combination of their evil aggressive forces try to trifle with China again, China will certainly give them a sounding defeat.

Racism? If LKY was unwise, Chee Onn would be jailed for corruption

Today the hype is racism by the real racists. We are sooo sensitive. We are sooooo easily slighted. This is what the first sentence in thenewpaper said. 'Caught in a situation where you believe you have been racially slighted', not being stopped on the road by the white policemen in the USA because you are black, or beaten every where you go, even killed, .... in Singapore, just feeling slighted is big stuff in racism. 

And the minorities are soooo sensitive. You cannot put on the dresses of another race in a commercial and make money from it, you cannot go to a costume party wearing another ethnic dress and paint your face black, a sales promoter cannot dress in various ethnic dresses to look like them in advertisement promotional material, with no intention of belittling or smearing the race. It is racism, we are so sensitive, be sensitive to our sensitivity.

How far should this go when every little thing is called racism? Every one, every race, has some form of prejudices, likes and dislikes. I don't like dogs, and when a person of another race is walking his dog, my body language showed my discomfort, so I am a racist? I am a taxi driver and I don't like dogs and I refused customers with dogs, so I am racist? I don't like people with strong body odour, so I don't pick them, racism? I don't like curry, my neighbour cooked curry everyday, so I am racist? I don't like loud noises, the cultural or religious procession is making too much noise, I complained, so I am racist?

Political leaders need to be sensitive but also to be wise to tell the difference between racism, xenophobia, personal prejudices etc etc. With so many foreigners being stuffed into the island, you think the citizens would not have negative feelings? No xenophobia? If every racist is to cry racism and the political leaders would to jump up and down and start on a witch hunt, 'it could stoke people into making police reports for any perceived racial slight, real or misunderstood, or deliberately exaggerated.' Said Shanmugam.

How many people have been misunderstood, attacked by the real racists pretending to be over sensitive and calling every slight or encounter a racist attack? If political leaders are unwise, did not check to verify what is real, over exaggeration, or actually a racial attack against the accused violator, then political leaders are encouraging and stoking racism, playing to the agenda of the racists.

Political leaders have a lot to learn from LKY in handling wild and malicious accusations by the real culprits pretending to be the victims. Lim Chee Onn was accused of corruption. If LKY buckled under the pressure of the snakes.... If LKY were to take the accusation at face value without checking the truth, Chee Onn would have been wrongly accused and probably charged and jailed for corruption. LKY did the due diligence and absolved Chee Onn, declared him an innocent and honourable men and called the bluff of the snakes and vicious people out to destroy him.

The current hooha on racism arising from a few queers do not justify the attention and uproar implicating that the whole Chinese majority are racists. Far from it. The Chinese majority are victims of racism and often being beaten up by the minorities instead. Racism in Singapore is for the minorities to accuse and attack the Chinese majority, often physically, not the Chinese majority bullying the minorities.  The few cases quoted might seem to be bordering on racism, but could be xenophobia or the frustration caused by Covid19, when everyone was feeling the stress and trying their best to observe certain uncomfortable rules, and you have some violating them.

There is a need for political wisdom to call the bluff and take the real racists to task. Any racist trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill, wrongly accusing others of racism, making police reports and making the police running around like bull arse flies, should not be let off lightly. Wild and baseless accusation of racism is stoking racism and must be punished.

Learn from LKY's wisdom in handling such wild allegations and protect the innocents from being maligned and not be an unthinking party to a witch hunt.

Stop the silly inquisition. Where is the political wisdom and leadership? Buckled under pressure?
