The USA must always remember that what is sauce for the goose is also sauce for the gander. China is taking a leaf from the USA's actions to hit back where it hurts.
Why is Trump going ballistic about the 'hostile' addition of more rare earth elements by China? China is making sure that the USA cannot make more weapons for war, and to ensure that China is not the ultimate target of the USA. If countries were to use Chinese rare earth exports for legitimate purposes instead of making weapons, what is there to fear. China does not condone the leak of countries reselling such rare earth elements to the USA to make weapons to target China. This is China's National Security at risk and China has every right to control it. Did Xi gloated about countries having to go to Beijing to kiss his arse in order to get rare earth supplies? Xi is more civilize than that.
Suffice to say, how 'hostile' is this rare earth move by China compared to Trump's tariff war against each and every country in the world, more so with the addition of insult to injury by proclaiming that every country's leader must go to Washington to kiss his arse. How belligerent and immoral can a leader behave is astounding.

Wonder how the arse kissing is progressing. Seems rather quiet now, after India, Japan and South Korea have said their pieces and did their sums. Trump's mafia tactic of asking for upfront payment for his touted arm-twisted investments from South Korea and Japan has met with outright disdain. Now that US$900 billion gloated investment scam is gone for good.
Only the UK, not unexpected of a poodle, is waxing laurels about the tariff deal with Trump, while the EU is not too committed being already given a lesson earlier after being on the wrong end of the stick. The end of cheap energy from Russia really was a hard pill to swallow and Germany in particular is now in economic ICU.
Slowly, countries are realizing how to come to terms with the tariffs by migrating businesses elsewhere, taking a leaf from the Chinese. China need not have to respond to Trump's boasts, just keeping quiet and looking at the self-destruction going on. As for the penguins, I think it is safe to say that they are taking a leaf from the Chinese by keeping mum. ignorance is bliss. Smart birds!
