China is quietly building up its food production,
particularly fruits and vegetables. And it is not just about changing
deserts into fertile land. China is going big in vertical farming and is
today among the largest producer of fruits and vegetables in the world.
This is surprising, isn't it? Now, let not the West again accuse that
this is another overcapacity that they are taking their eyes off, and
later on suddenly found out the reality.
China has been
experimenting with vertical vegetable farming using high-end technology
of vegetable growing, achieving faster harvesting and at cheaper cost,
many times cheaper than traditional mode of vegetable growing. Such
vertical farming saves on water, insecticides and labor and soil
pollution.
If this is not enough, China is doing equally well in
research in aquaculture, building fish farms leveraging on cost savings
and rearing fish less succumbing to diseases.
China places much
priority today over food security, expanding domestic production and
seeking alternative supplies from many sources. Such an important
national security issue could be threatened by enemies cutting off
supplies by imposing sanctions, which could jeopardize China's survival
if not looked into early.

China learnt its lesson from her previous experience in famine. The west just doesn't learn. They keep doing the same things, hoping for a different result, like sanctions!!! Dumbos.
F-35’s Cooling Crisis: Design Flaws Fuel $2 Trillion Dilemma for Pentagon

The lying Americans still claiming this dud as the best fighter aircraft in the world, when there are Rafale, SU 57, J20, J15, J16, J35 etc etc that are more superior and advanced and trouble free, flawless,...
The unthinking are still clamouring for this piece of American shit because some stupid countries bought it. And one of the reasons why the Americans would not sell it to India, other than knowing India is a double headed snake and could bite them one day, is that India would use the F35 to fight with China's more superior J20 and J35 and would be easily shot down. This would expose the myth of this piece of shit.
The reason why our venture into the high-tech vege/fish business is going down the drain is because our G wanted to have a piece of the cake by having high land/rental cost for such venture. Also businessman wanted to have high profit & therefore when price of vege/fish to consumer is high compare to imported one, there will be no taker. The G really need to change it greedy mind set, as well as learn from China, if we really wanted to produce 30% of our own food.
Local vegetables are a no no for me. They are more expensive, doesn't taste or feel like the normal real thing, being tougher in texture. Worst come to the worst, tariffs on imported vegetables may come into focus when local vegetables fail to take off. Wait and see, just like COEs
Chinese food presence in supermarkets in Red Dot is already overwhelming and has been for decades. Is China really short of food I wonder?
Only available to countries fighting others with WW2 junks. That, by the way is one way of proving its superiority over others. Ukraine is fighting with outdated junks and leftovers by the USA and EU, but afraid to let Ukraine have F35s which Zelenskyy is asking. They will be shot down in no time by Russia, so cannot be given to Ukraine as well.
That must be why Israel have F35s, fighting the Muslims with outdated jets and other weapons which they know is unable to counter the F35s. Ukraine is fighting a far more advance Russia, not a Gaza or Lebanon.
