China helping Myanmar to develop, US killing Europe with wars

Myanmar may be the last country in ASEAN to develop, but like China, may not be far behind others in ASEAN when the time comes.

Myanmar is a rich country in resources and hardworking population hungry for development like the Chinese. Never mind what others think about Myanmar or continue to look down on it, but Myanmar may have the last laugh with Chinese help. Just look at Vietnam, devastated by the war and with Chinese investments, really rising from the ashes.

The EU will find it difficult to pick itself up after all the de-industrialization and decapitation of its agricultural sector. As countries look to alternative sources of agricultural products, trying to rebuild what is already lost is not going to be easy. The market is gone. Those farmers that have gone bust are too deeply in debt to restart. What does all this mean? Are sanctions and trade wars really of benefit and at what cost? Is the USA now helping the Europeans or pushing them deeper into the water? The USA is apparently not helping the EU in trouble but is instead threatening the EU with tariffs if the EU does not buy more USA oil and gas. This is the straw that is going to break the camel's back. The USA is even not throwing a straw for the drowning Europeans to clutch at.

USA is killing Europe just like killing its middle class. All to cater to the top 1%, of which the ruling class are from. Some of those in the ruling class like George Bush, are even members of the Deep State.

Democracy in the USA is to cater to the 1%, by the 1% and for the 1%. That is why democracy must never be mitigated by the rise of socialist China. It will be too heavy a price to pay for the top 1%.

You see, Trump is even going to cut taxes for the super-rich like Elon Musk and himself included but increasing taxes for the rest at the bottom of the pyramid with his tariffs. I think talking about tariff is meaningless, as Trump does not even know how it works other than punishing China.

You cannot explain the effect of tariffs to someone as blur as a sotong, as Trump is brain-dead on the issue. Or is Trump just pretending that he does not understand how tariff works? Remember Trump is a seasoned conman, having conned his way out of six bankruptcies.

Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand have been confirmed to join BRICS as partners. Will they be targeted by the USA? I think they know what they up against and are willing to pay the price by joining BRICS.

The USA had been making moves to lure Vietnam and Indonesia to its side but obviously have failed to do so. Both are rich in resources that the USA is looking with greedy eyes - rare earths in Vietnam and nickel, copper and bauxite in Indonesia. Will Trump be going to invade these two countries as well. Remember the USA has a large military presence in the Philippines and an ally in Papua New Guinea, a next-door neighbor. Not to mention Red Dot, ahem.

Anwar and Prabowo have seen good and hard times, have seen how corrupt leaders mismanaged their countries and discredited themselves. Both are progressive leaders and would want to do something for their countries. They have seen how Thailand has quietly moved ahead of other Asean countries by inviting investments from China. Thailand's EV industry is doing very well.

Anwar is pushing Malaysia into a high tech and high growth nation, in chip making, EVs and AIs, staying away from unproductive domestic politics that got the last few PMs nowhere. Prabowo has seen the success of the first high speed train in Asean completed under the Jokowi Administration. He would like to move in the same direction for Indonesia to make a name for himself.

Both have seen how over the years, the Americans had not done anything good for Malaysia and Indonesia, because both are Muslim nations. Joining BRICS and getting investments from China is the way to develop their economies and raise the living standards of their people.

Yes right you are Anon.6.28

With their POP must industrialised.

NOT just depending on Toursism, sale of their only Resources.

Industrialism employed masses of their own.

That's the way China uplift their millions.

Tourism and other hospitality businesses are just seasonal and easily jeopardised by many unforseen circumstances like pandemic etc.

Also down to earth businesses like ports, infrastructures for logistics and the training of manpower.

Change of mindset of blue collar professions and jobs.

NOT all blue collared are low paying jobs with high Tech industries.

Industries can have millions of their own gainfully employed rather than adhoc random piece meal scattered jobs.

These type of jobs only served those exploitation employers who wanted cheap labours and quit anytime.

Just like Sinking Land now.

Growing POP of foreigners that downgraded our own into all these menial jobs.

No eyes see.

Malaysia and Indonesia must be seen to be stable and safe for Chinese investments. Now that they are partners of BRICS, this may tell a different story for China. Indonesia was a 'touch and go' case between China and the USA as it wanted to be neutral. Now, China has seen the direction that Indonesia is heading under Prabowo and may take the cue. Not that Widodo was a bad leader for China in the past.

China had experienced the anti-Chinese era in Indonesia in the past under the rule of the Western backed Suharto. China had also tasted Malaysia's anti-China stance in Forest City investments, rail linked projects that were criticized by Mahathir, (probably due to shortage of fragrant grease landing on his hands), which was music to the ears of the Malays. Playing the anti-China stance was also Mahathir's favorite calling card to put him in favor with the Malays. Now Anwar is trying to correct the perception by having a second look at Forest City's future direction.

The USA had done nothing for Malaysia as we know it, hoping to exert control using the IMF during the Asian financial crisis which Mahathir would not tolerate. The USA via the IMF had in fact done harm to Indonesia during the Asian financial crisis in the past, using its restrictions that caused banks and businesses to close, leading to job losses, as was disclosed by someone close to Indonesian affairs. But all that has never been talked about on MSM.
