Next door may not be that neighborly going forward, with Anwar facing more and more problems with his administration.
As I said before, Anwar's coalition Government, formed with UMNO as a partner is just a marriage of convenience, not a good strategy for Anwar. UMNO political leaders are using his government to hide behind, and eluding prosecution over their corruption practices when UMNO was in power itself. But then, Anwar could not be in power now without the support of UMNO. Anwar is in deep trouble right now, juggling his political football and facing opposition from all sides.
Anwar's appointment of his daughter as advisor in his government is another bad decision, attracting claims of cronyism. Anwar is facing also criticism over Najib's request to be placed under house arrest, not inside a prison cell, which he is saying is up to the King's decision. Anwar's hands are tied trying to clean up corruption within his own government, not to talk of trying to take to task those of his opponents like Mahathir Mohamed and his family, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and many other corrupt politicians from UMNO hiding in the swamp, which he is unable to drain without losing support.

Anwar has no control of anything. That roast, Najib’s wife, just got off from her tax avoidance charges, which are very clear cut. All it needs is s friendly or threatened judge to make the ruling. Think we need Mahathir back to control Anwar. It is the lesser of two evils.

Anwar is a pawn in UMNO's agenda to return to power. I would not be far wrong if UMNO were to come back, looking at the way politics is evolving in Malaysia.
The Malays on the ground will not want to give up their privileges, which UMNO has given them under Mahathir. It is like a drug that is impossible to wean off. Therefore, the bet is still on UMNO winning back its power and corruption remains the status quo. As long as UMNO can guarantee the privileges given to the Malays, it is a win win situation for UMNO Putras and the Bumiputras. Just common sense from a common man.
They don't invent the slogan 'Malaysia Boleh' for nothing.
Do not try to correct their mistakes. Their mistakes are a blessing in disguise for Singapore.
Anwar is trying very hard to turn Malaysia into an economic powerhouse and a richer country. And this can come about by hard work and embracing technology.
His opponents want Anwar to spend time on what can or cannot wear, what can or cannot eat, what can or cannot say, no need to work and get free money and be rich.
Judge threatened or given fragrant grease (heung yau)? Remember, she is filthy rich.
