If Freedom of Expression is to apply, why can't China and Russia say the same thing about Japan? The hypocrisy of the USA and the West is really mind boggling.
Thankfully, that hypocrisy is now on full display in Washington over the sensitive documents kept by Biden when he was the Vice President under Obama. What difference is that compared to what Trump did? But I believe it is just show business inside the Empire of Lies, just to distract from the problems of the country, with nature's fury unleashed upon the evil empire's evil deeds and the fate of the US$ going forward.
The fall in inflation for November and December hides much of the problems besetting the USA, and the Fed is really now more targeted with saving the economy and the fate of the falling US$, rather than continue to keep inflation in check. Notice the hysteria of passing executive orders with huge incentives to attract global investments into the USA to prop up the economy, angering the EU countries, their closest allies. What is the USA's agenda can be read between the lines.
The currency of the rest of the world are now rising against the US$ and this is posing a big problem for the Fed. That many countries are getting smarter and now also raising interest rates negates what the USA is doing internally to strengthen the US$. Raising interest rates further in the USA is not going to help businesses and cost of living of its citizens. Notice the big job cuts of big banks, industries and other businesses. That means more jobless will soon join those already living on the streets. The signs are all there.
The Fed is basically caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. We shall see whether saving the economy and the US$ is more important than fighting inflation. I would bet on the former, as indicated by the fact that the USA Government had already been turning a blind eye in fighting homelessness, drug addiction and people living from pay check to pay check and holding two to three jobs to survive. That, by the way, is one way to look at forged job figures, and is good news for massaging jobless figures no doubt.
Why is the USA talking and making much ado about nothing about the debt ceiling, when all they always did was just raise it and continue to print more fiat money. But, they cannot kick the can much further down the road, and with countries not buying US treasuries, but instead selling them to support their own currencies, printing more US$ fiat money will inevitably cause inflation to escalate. What is happening now is just to keep a lid on that happening before the 2024 election, after which all hell will break lose.

The USA is in an unravelable mess of sorts - domestically divided, politically polarised, internationally shunned, economically stricken with unsurmountable debts and still spending money creatively and magically conjured up by their derivative balloon blowing.
The most stunning thing is that they do not seem to realise their predicament when it is staring them in the face, with no solution in sight or a possiblity, that is the most frightening part.
Hi Anon 11.32
It's Ok the Cowboys will trotted their streets with their Auto Machine Guns and Military Arsenals to miam and kill their own when the time comes that they had no more food on their tables.
When they find that their no value printed bananas Dollars is NOT going to be accepted by the International Community to keep feeding them without any sweat of work.
That's be the day the World of Asians, Africans and the Muslim World will celebrate.
How did the world take so long to realise that they are giving the USA a free ride or free loading on their blood and sweat?
Soon, keeping too much US$ is going to be a curse, just like the Japanese banana notes of old.
Yellen wants closer co-operation economically with China, but the actions of the USA is diametrically opposed to this in every way. The trade wars, the tech sanctions, the accusation and invention of security issues against Chinese mobile phones and communication equipment makers, are all not conducive for closer co-operation.
There is now a new narrative surfacing of physical and cyber attacks against USA power grids and the capability of such attacks bringing down the whole power grid system of the USA, by persons or countries unknown. But the fingers have been pointing accusingly already at four countries - Russia, China, Iran and North Korea, with no proof existing. This is going to develop into direct accusation against China as some grid transformers are said to have been sourced from China and there is the possibility of the USA fabricating them into something more confrontational. So, is the USA thinking of sanctioning the import of Chinese electrical equipment as well, claiming they may contain back doors for such a cyber attack? Let us wait and see.
Experts in the field of electrical and electronics dismiss the possibility of conducting cyber attacks on transformers via backdoors. Attacks against control systems may be possible, but those systems are designed by others and are not sourced from China.
