CECA exempt their employees from MOM criteria in issuing EP and SP. See Article 9.3.3.
Article 9.3.3 of that agreement states that “Neither Party shall require labour market testing, economic needs testing or other procedures of similar effects as a condition for temporary entry in respect of natural persons upon whom the benefits of this Chapter are conferred.”
In plain English, it is not compulsory for companies from this country to employ local talents, but are free to bring in their own qualified nationals. In other words, they are not subject to schemes like Fair Consideration Framework.

Compare the above terms with what Chan Chun Sing said about the MOM requirements that CECA Indians must abide by, then see the contradictions. Obviously the two statements did not agree. This is what Chan Chun Sing said in CNA,

Which rule shall prevail, the CECA rules or the MOM rules stated by Chan Chun Sing. It cannot be both shall prevail. One must over ride the other. The Indian govt once wanted to sue the Singapore govt over this?

Under CECA, any India national who as long as meet the prevailing criteria (as Chan Chun Sing says) can come to Singapore to work and bring along their dependants who also can work. There is nothing that can stop them once they meet the criteria (as CECA says) - this in exchange for investment opportunities in India for Singapore corporations.
So if 20 million India nationals meet the prevailing criteria, they have a right to come to Singapore to work and nothing can stop them!

We need to. How many people know or read the CECA agreement? They know ordinary you and me only talk about the influx but know little behind the scene about why it could not be stopped. Chan Chun Sing, of course, knows this fact and is just pulling 'wool' over people's eyes with his speech. Or should I say 'cotton' instead. Luckily many people know cotton does not come from sheep!
But what can be done now that we are pushed into a corner by a 'big' power like India? If it is true, Japan now knows the danger and difficulty of doing business with India. Japan and China submitted bids to build a railway system in India, and Japan won. Japan had to provide the loans to finance the whole project besides building it. It later turned out to be a blessing in disguise for China that they did not succeed, because now Japan is mired in so much problems with the project, all dictated by that country's top leader, Modi.
In order to promote 'Made in India' products which Modi promised, he changed, demanded, threatened and forced the Japanese to use only items like steel from Indian companies, which were substandard and not usable. So much demands were made or changed beyond the agreements that PM Abe vomited blood. Hahaha!
Lately, it was also reported that India invited China, which is well know for high speed rail systems, to bid for a big rail project with big bucks, but China declined the offer. Where in the world would someone decline to take up an offer to make money? Because China knows the foul smell of doing business in that country. Coupled with the strained relations between India and China and the USA instigating behind the scene, it will one day turn into another Nord Stream 2.

What air defence system? It is only useful when they can detect early and try to intercept enemy aircraft or missiles at a distance and bring them down.
When China attacks Taiwan, they will just send in 200 missiles at one go, there will be no way of stopping them even if they are detected. China can even tell them in advance when it is launching and from where. No air defence system can stop 200 missiles coming in in one go.
This applies to the aircraft carriers. China will swamp them with 20 missiles and guarantee a few hits that will sink them, no way to escape.

Sinkies' Chairman (not Speaker) of the House is not a neutral person by profession and by alignment as a party member who is controlled by the WHIP. British Parliament Speaker is independent and cannot be aligned to any party nor controlled by the WHIP.
