Mistrust of the Govt is the new normal

I can think of a few more mistrusts or distrusts. CPF is your money, CPF is not your money, CPF is your money, CPF is not your money.... Now my head is spinning. Which statement to trust or mistrust or distrust?
Your CPF savings is very safe, 100% safe. No one is going to rob you of your CPF. Who to trust? Can I have my money back? Now, who is taking hold of my money and not returning?

Singapore belongs to everyone here. Is this true or false? I am scratching my head.
We are listening to you. Please give us your feedback. Ok, here is the feedback. No 6.9m population. Can trust this will not be the case? But mistrust of the govt is the new normal, so no need to worry if 6.9m will be a reality.

More foreigners mean more good jobs for the citizens. To trust or not to trust? So govt is not bringing in more foreigners. Can trust or not? Then again, mistrust is the new normal, so anything can.
Knn, dunno can trust the banks when you put your life savings with them? Don’t worry, mistrust is the new normal. How could life go on living under the shadow of mistrust as the new normal?

Whats the point of saying trust me when there is no transparency.
Whats the point of having so many conversations when policies dont reflect majority feedbacks.
Whats the point of saying singaporeans first when citizens gets replaced.
So many more whats the point........

Just ask yourself 2 very simple questions:
1. Have I become better off over the last 5 years under this PAP government?

2. Can I trust a PAP government to look after my family if something happens to me?

Let your answers guide your vote.

When the government is one that is not to be trusted, of course mistrust is normal.

Hah. Complete mistrust of ANY authority has always been my DEAULT position. Now redbean calls it the new "normal".

Under no circumstances should anyone EVER trust their government -- NEVER, not even when occasionally governments do the "right" thing.

Not I say one ok? It is Han Fook Kwang in his latest article. Do you know who he is?

@RB:

Of course. He is a g-man pretending to be an average Singaporean, faking a non-partisan voice which pretends to criticise the govt and their policies, occasionally pretending to scold the government.

Like CPF + HDB political tool, this is another GREAT TRICK designed to manipulate the minds of Singaporeans.

Subtle, very subtle. I like. I am the perennial student of human manipulation, and I marvel at the PAP's grasp and ingenuity on the subject.

Respect!

Han Fuck Kwang is definitely a G man.

I see the fucking moron taking heed of the book poster warning and no longer post long comment to waste other people's time. Only the book poster can get matilar!

Its not mistrust, its enlightenment. All along, the people are being manipulated, mislead, deprived of the truth.

I only trust myself.

I don't trust RB either.

I will also not trust WP if WP forms the govt. Of course, I will celebrate with firecrackers for 5 minutes if WP forms the govt, a new dawn, a new bright new future, after that, I will also not trust them.

People are manipulated, misled, deprived of the truth, so pitiful. I think opposition can also mislead and manipulate you.

Maybe, there are indeed people working fron the inside for the outside.

The best is to keep all the money in the pillow like my father and grandfather did. I am going to draw out all my lifesaving from bank and do that.

Be careful RB. Do not go down the same avenue as Roy. In Singapore it is best to be a quiet mouse so that no one bothers you. If you are a lion and roars too loudly then you will be watched and marked. Look at Roy, he roared and now he kena tekan. He will be used as an deterrent so that no more nonsense comes from anyone else who might be thinking along the same line. You talk about trust. Trust once eroded can never be reinstated. At the moment I think a good portion of Singaporean still have lots of trust for the incumbent. I have quite a circle of friends and relatives in Singapore and almost all of them own at least 2, 3, 4 properties on rental to the FTs who come to work in Singapore. Why would these people rock the boat? These are the PAP voters ( 60% ) who are singing their ways to the bank each month collecting rent. Why do you think these people would not trust the PAP? Why change when the going is good? Btw RB, how amny properties do you own?

Who knows, maybe RB is the inside outside spy? His collections would have made anyone wobble.

I not so brave and stupid to say mistrust is the new normal lah. I only quoting Han Fook Kwang.

No need for another hero.

As income and education level goes up, it is inevitable that mistrust also goes up. It cannot be the other way round !

I see RB does not answer " Btw RB, how many properties do you own? "

Typical !!!!
