Chua Mui Hoong to the rescue

The spin that property prices are well managed and that there is no property bubble is given another positive take today. The high prices are good and probably planned to be that way. Chua Mui Hoong has said all that needs to be said, the govt has don't all the right things for the home owners. I remember a few days back that the CEO of DBS, Piyush Gupta, had said that there was already a bubble. So everyone can call it whatever they like, got bubble, no bubble, half bubble or quarter bubble, suit yourself. The fact is that the new buyers are going to be hanged if they don't have the money to buy a decent unit. But of course there are the affordable ones to suit their limited budget. No money don't complain, and don't expect too much. I could also presume that the state of the property market was all carefully calibrated to what it is today, prices, supply and demand. If this is the case, then I would say it is all under controlled and expected. Well done.

I was in a petrol station just yesterday when this shifty character came near me and asked whether I wanted to buy a new condo coming up in the vicinity.

I told him thanks but no thanks, I don't want to lose my pants when the bubble goes Poooooof......which is not far away. What I need, I have bought. He slinked out of the exit with his tail between his legs......What a jerk! Asking me whether I want to commit suicide and die a horrible death!

"Calibrated", "controlled".

Are the Two Words similar to manipulate, exploit??

Depending on how one wants to interpret, make use and take advantage of a situation, Chua Mui Hoong is no different to most Sigaporeans. The bankers, the insurance sellers, the property agents, all marketing professionals and even OUR PARLIAMENTARIANS are same same lah.

All very kind and good with words and deeds that are likely to make their fellow country men suckers. Nice words but latently dangerous and could very well mislead and lure one into trouble.

The famous Chua sisters could be holding on to some properties, so it makes $ense to claim no bubble lah!

Even then, as an employee of MSM, Ms Chua still has ensure statements are calibrated to boost happiness index of her political masters.
