Late last month (Jul 2026), the Korean stock market literally went into a freefall ... for that to happen, usually retail money $$$ aka individual retail investors are involved in that there was severe cascading feedback loop effect leading to massive forced liquidation. Why retail investors involved is because most, if not all the time, they are the last group to enter at the end of a bull market that is about to tank or burst ...

Though the Korean stock market has recovered about 20% to date from the late Jul 2026 lows, most retail investors probably already had their portfolios wiped out. From news reports, many are highly leveraged aka "investing with borrowed funds". With many staring at huge losses and loans, what concerned them most is how to pay back [the humongous debt] and live a normal life again... (and NOT about geopolitics etc.)

Historically, this is the same everywhere. The end game is about people (always), NOT about geopolitics etc...

Joker Bessent still living in the past of unipolar world

 WASHINGTON: The US will impose "the toughest sanctions in history" on Iran, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Thursday (Aug 20), a focus on economic measures he suggested would lessen the need for new major military operations against Tehran.

His statement followed President Donald Trump's threat a day earlier of "Economic Warfare" and warning of economic consequences against any country that provided "any type of lifeline to Iran". CNA

Stammering clown Bessent still thinks the American terrorists can bully the world by coercion, sanctions and tariffs and the use of force. He forgot that the days of unipolar world is now in the past. America is now an island, not the sole empire of the world. And sanctions no longer work. 

The mother of all sanctions were thrown at Russia, and what happened? Russia is now much stronger and richer. But the silly European allies and American cronies have to bite the dust. They are the ones that are really sanctioned, not Russia. These silly American allies and cronies are sanctioning themselves. The rest of the world does not need any American or European goods.

The world is used to the American silly game and has developed many ways, options, systems and institutions to bypass the American sanctions. The Americans can sanctions all they like, but the world goes on as if nothing has happened. The only country being sanctioned is the America. The Americans are in effect building walls around themselves, not trading with the world while the world is happily trading among themselves without the Americans.

Soon the world will sanction the use of the American dollar. That will be the day when no one wants to use the dollar except the Americans.

Trump obviously holds all the secret talks in his sleep. Sister of Kim Jong Un said that she does not believe North Korea is involved in any secret talks with the USA. Trump still insists there is going to be a meeting again between him and Kim. For what? Renewal of his love affair?

Kim Jong Un is now helping Russia with troops and weapons. Is Trump going to persuade Kim to dump Putin for him? Kim has more trust in Putin than Trump, whose gloating about good relations with Kim is just fanciful thinking. Trump is a great inventor of lies of every shape and size.

Perhaps Trump is thinking of persuading Kim to de-nuclearize once again, a third bite of the cherry. What else is there to talk about anyway? Another distraction to uphold his November mid-term election? Kim is smarter than Trump and de-nuclearization for North Korea is a red line. Three generations of the Kim family tried very hard to get the nuke under severe sanctions and is not going to be conned by the super-conman of six bankruptcies fame. De-nuclearization means the end of the Kim dynasty, whatever Trump tried to con Kim into believing that he will let Kim remain in power.

Trump can keep conning his MAGA base and the inbred rednecks and hillbillies, but the world is getting wiser. Lying all the time whenever he opens his motor mouth is not doing him any good. Crying wolf too often will not stand him in good stead.

Oh, just not to forget North Korea's comment that 'Trump's attempt to cut back military drills with South Korea is not worth commenting on'. That is a loud declaration that will surely deflate Trump's ego. Trump thinks that such a move will make his attempt to talk to Kim easier. I do not think Kim is going to take the bait.

The Ukraine War is now the baby of NATO Europe. The Middle East War is now the baby of the Arabs and Muslims. The War on Iran will soon be thrown onto the laps of the Arabs in the Gulf. Oman is already threatened with punishment for talking to Iran. The UAE is suffering the greatest economic disaster with Dubai facing collapse. Dubai faces a two-pronged disaster, facing against nature and against economic strangulation. The shit that the USA stirred up is getting smellier by the day.

The next conflict that the USA is going to start will be against China. That cannot be avoided and Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Philippines and Australia will all be dragged into the disaster of epic proportions. And when the going gets tough, the USA will run and leave the doggies with the bag.
