Not every country can afford American AI...unless they have nuclear power stations

 A few days after Macron opened the AI Conference in Paris, several French power stations caught fire. Why? They were supplying power to all the big AI companies using the same American formula ie stacking hundreds of thousands of Nvidia high end chips. What is the problem? The Nvidia chips are consuming huge amount of energy causing overload in the French power stations. Adopting the American AI infrastructure requires enormous amount of power supply, enough to supply a big city. This is why Microsoft and Amazon are investing billions to build their own power supply.

American AI infrastructure, designed to be a monopoly, a new American hegemony, is about a wall built with huge funds, high barrier to keep everyone else up but dependent on the Americans and to pay a high ransom for usage. The chips are not the only high cost item, the pool of tech specialists is not cheap, and the power plant and security cost built around it all costs a lot of money.

How many countries can afford the cost of building their own American designed AI infrastructure when they don't have the money, and the power plant to provide the necessary power? Yes, they need to build little nuclear power stations to serve this big power gulping monster of high end chips.

The next big question, is the need for AI justify the huge investment cost? How many countries or corporation need such expensive AI services? And there are many very affordable AI providers that are available now. China is not just rolling out DeepSeek to satisfy most of the users, especially the individual users, it is coming out with at least 3 more AI apps that are as good or better than DeepSeek practically for free. This immediately cuts down the pie for the big American AI monster machine and it is looking like the billions or trillions ploughed into the system would be like throwing money into a bottomless pit, with little or no returns.

Big and expensive American AI models are turning into a big hoax. The power grids of many smaller and developing countries would not be able to afford such systems. The value does not justify the high expenditure, and when cheap and less energy intensive systems would do the same tasks adequately.

 If USA intelligence had been so effective, Ukraine should have won the war long ago, just listening to all the MSM charlatans, morons and senators singing the same song from the same song sheet about Ukraine defeating Russia. So much misinformation and disinformation had been churned out of the USA propaganda machine about the war.

And now the world knows about all the misinformation and disinformation churned out about China as well, thanks to a little app called Rednote. China cannot fight the USA propaganda machine head on but is being helped by foreign vloggers and apps like Rednote. Ironically, Rednote was not trotted out by the Chinese to counter USA lies but was the genie in the bottle that the USA had let out unintentionally and shooting its own foot. Karma truly works in mysterious ways.

The gloating about Ukraine winning had been going on ever since the start of the war, that Zelenskyy must be literally tired of so much winning on his hands, or should I say opportunities to make money out of bullshitting by others. But is Ukraine really winning the war? Did Ukraine managed to take back Crimea? Did Ukraine managed to take back the Eastern Donbass sector lost to Russia at the start of the war? In fact, Ukraine is today losing more territory than at the start of the war. Ya, Ukraine does occupy a portion of Russian territory in Kursk, but Russia knows it can drive them out easily and is just taking its time. Kursk was supposed to be a bargaining chip to force Russia to give back land occupied in Ukraine, but it is not going to happen.

There is such a song and dance at the start of the Ukraine war and everyone in the USA was chanting - Ukraine is winning, Ukraine will win, Ukraine cannot lose, Russia will lose, Russia is collapsing. So much winning and yet Zelenskyy has to go around the world with his begging bowl for more aid and weapons for two long years. By the way, is has been reported that some of the weapons sent to Ukraine by the West ended up elsewhere, which tells the whole story of why it is not winning. Ukraine has not been called the 'most corrupt country in Europe' for nothing.

Now the Europeans are being thrown under the bus by the USA after failing to win the war in Ukraine on behalf of the USA. The USA is blaming European disunity and internal strife, making Europe irrelevant and does not even think it necessary for the Europeans to be included in any peace talks between the USA and Russia.

The Europeans are now in shock and awe, scampering to call an emergency summit to deal with the slight, despite sacrificing so much for the USA. But is it too little too late? After making Europe lose cheap Russian energy resulting in all the de-industrialization, the USA is adding insult to injury by threatening tariffs on European products, which will make them even more miserable. What are friends for anyway in the eyes and self-interest agenda of the USA?

Does BRICS need India or India needs BRICS?

 Let us talk about India and whether it is leaving BRICS. Now, let us be more circumspect. Does BRICS need India or India needs BRICS? Who needs who to benefit from the threat? What has India got to offer in BRICS so far, other than trying to sabotage the agenda of de-dollarization. India is in fact against de-dollarization, and it does even support the idea of a BRICS currency, professing to want to internationalize the rupee.

What I believe is that India is more realistically trying to sabotage the idea of a BRICS currency, preferring to support the US$ instead. India needs the US$ for trade as the rupees is shunned by everyone. In BRICS, the rupee is not even a widely accepted currency for trade at all outside the US$. This does raise the suspicion that India is either a real Trojan Horse planted, or should I say bought by the USA to break up BRICS.

When India does leave BRICS, we can be sure there will be much propaganda being fabricated to promote the idea that BRICS is breaking up. BRICS will not die because of India. In fact, BRICS will not die even with Trump gloating about further attempts to de-dollarize will kill BRICS under his hand.

In honesty, the USA could not even kill off a Chinese company like Huawei, even with the help of all its allies, cronies and doggies like India. The USA could not even kill off the Russians, after all the gloating about making the Ruble turn to rubbles and Russia collapsing. Even with all the threats and posturing about Russia having no friends, many countries are trading with Russia and benefitting from cheaper Russian energy and making a fortune out of it.

USA's decline is more certain and picking up steam with Trump taking over

 Those tariffs against friends and foe are making the decline faster than the world had hoped for. It is a blessing in disguise. Suffice to say, some tariffs are just to be used as bargaining chips, to be walked back later using the period of reprieve, hoping that the victims will be beaten down and surrender.

The hardest hit will be Canada and Mexico, with the EU coming on-line. The EU is now clutching at straws to keep its economy afloat and Trump is going to push it underwater for good. The EU made the fatal mistake of following the USA to go against Russia, getting little in benefit but suffering serious consequences.

Canada, Mexico and EU countries are not BRICS members and have no means to mitigate their fate under USA tariffs. Their only recourse is to back down and comply. Mexico, though not a BRICS member, with massive Chinese investments can still handle the hit. China and other BRICS countries, like Brazil and Russia can always rely on BRICS and the Global South to mitigate their difficulties.

Having said that, China is no longer China of 2016 and today is even more prepared to take on whatever sanctions or tariffs the USA is going to throw at it. Moreover, China has the capacity to retaliate where it hurts, not necessarily in quantitative terms. After all, China does not need to buy that much from the USA as the other way round. China is just pausing its further retaliation, waiting for the effect of those tariffs on USA inflation and USA consumer reaction.

The narrative that the effect of those tariffs is still uncertain is just plainly attempts to brush aside the reality. USA importers are not going to absorb the tariffs themselves without passing the buck to the consumers. It is just denying the inevitable that even the blind can understand using their ears and feeling their pockets.
