Apparently written by FTs claiming LKY is the founder of Singapore when it is a known fact that the Founder of Singapore was actually Raffles.

Read the above post in TRE. I believe Singapore was founded by the original natives of the island. Or for those who want to play with semantics, would only want to know the existence of Singapore after the British arrived and called it Singapore, maybe should rephrase it to say who renamed this island as Singapore for the British Empire.

Whatever, Singapore was there all the time. And there were many people of different countries in the island when Raffles came. How did Raffles found it when there were people already on the island?

Only those who read English history books would think Singapore was not there and only came about because the English history book said it was founded by Raffles.  The Ali, Muthu or Ah Seng in the island when Raffles came did not found Singapore, not counted.

Or the island like magic, floated up when Raffles came and found it.  Or it was so misty, no one could see this island floating there, until Raffles saw it and shouted, I found it?

The concept of I found it originated from the arrogant Christian Doctrine of Discovery from the Pope, The underlying principle was that the people of the world, other than the white Christians, were subhumans and had no right to own their land. The white Christians were bestowed the right of ownership of all the land occupied by non Christians by God. That was the beginning of white European conquest and colonisation of the world. Everywhere they went, they claimed to found the land, from the continent of Asia, Africa, the two Americas and Australia.

If you are an arrogant white Europeans, it is understandable to accept this white Christian doctrine as the truth, the law. If you are coloured, non Christians, accepting this doctrine is to accept that you are subhuman and has no right to your land. You don't exist!

The same doctrine can be applied today if the Americans came ashore backed by their 7th Fleet and declared they found Singapore and take it over as their colony. Our presence in the island, what we have built, are immaterial to them. They are the conqueror with the blessing of their God.

Are modern people around the world, including Singapore, still want to subscribe to this silly white doctrine, that they are the superior people blessed by God to own and rule the world?

The real story of Singapore could be like this. Raffles came with his gun boats, landed at the Singapore River, rounded up the people in the island as prisoners.  Those that resisted and ran were shot. Then he declared he founded this island for the King of England, the British Empire. After interrogation, he identified the village chief, forced him to sign on a piece of paper that he did not know what was written on it as proof that the island was legally surrendered to him. And Singapore became a part of the British colony, a part of East India Company.

It was not so innocent like there was no one in the island, or the people in the island stood by doing nothing or even welcoming these pirates on shore to take over the island peacefully. 

PS. When you read history books written by the whites, their literature, think. If you don't, you will be made suckers and fools by them when everything was written in their favour, with their interests, not yours. Still believe in Singapore being founded by Raffles, America founded by Columbus? They would whitewash all their crimes against humanity, genocide etc as if their conquest of the world was a tea party, without bloodshed and cruelty.

 

USA is a country built on the foundation of theft

 The Americans have a history of stealing everything to be great. The first thing they did when Columbus and his bunch of buccaneers landed in North America was to steal the land from the natives.  This went on for at least a century until they got all the land from the natives after annihilating them. The whole of the USA is stolen land. They even stole the islands of Hawaii to make it the 50 state, and many islands in the Pacific Ocean.

But before Columbus landed in the Americas, the stealing already started. How did Columbus manage to have a map to the Americas? Where did the map come from when they have not heard of the Americas, did not know of their existence? A map of course.  And since no Europeans had been to the Americas before Columbus, how could they have a map of the Americas?  Who had been to the Americas and also the whole of Africa and could have drawn the maps? The world's greatest mariner of course, and that was none other than a Chinese called Admiral Cheng Ho. Now you know who Columbus stole the map from, the Chinese.

The Americans have been stealing everything to make itself great. They stole the scientists and formula for atom bombs from the Germans.  They stole the scientists and formula for biological weapons from the Japanese. They stole the Africans, hunted down Africans to be slaves for free labour.

Today they are accusing China of stealing their technology? What technology that China stole? The companies that went to China went there with eyes opened and contractually signed to share technologies with China. They were not forced to share their technologies but willingly, contractually. This is unlike what Trump is doing to Huawei and TikTok and Tencent. What Trump is doing is daylight robbery, forcing these companies to sell their technologies to the Americans.

And if they did not have the technology, if they could not steal, they lied. Today all the proof that is needed to confirm that the Americans did not land on the moon is out there. They have no technology to go to the moon but lied to the world.  All the evidence of moon landing were fabricated and shown to the world as proof. If they could land on the moon so many times, they could simply replicate the rockets to take them there again. But the Americans claimed that they have lost all the blue prints and technology to do it again. They could not even fly their astronauts to the International Space Station built by the Russians and needed Russian rockets to ferry them there. Can you believe it?

NASA was a total failure, a big hoax. And they had to finally close it down when it could not do what it was supposed to do after pretending and trying to keep a lie alive, that they could build rockets to bring Americans to the moon.

Come on Americans, stop lying and stop stealing.  Prove it to the world that you can fly your astronauts to the ISS. Or you need a private company owned by Elon Musk, not NASA, to help you to do it? The Americans are living on lies and thefts and pretend to be great. Stop lying to the world and come down to earth to face reality. Look at how they lied about Covid19 after planting the virus in Wuhan.

Remember the lie about CIA using an outdated map to bomb the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade. Admit the lie. When the Chinese returns the favour, the Chinese would not lie that they blow up an American Embassy because they used an old map. On that day, China would tell you Americans that they did it to return the favour, no need lies. That day will come.

Why Singapore must remain a Chinese majority country?

Singapore being a Chinese majority country is not something to be taken for granted. It is a necessity, a survival formula for the Chinese to thrive in South East Asia. Without a Chinese majority in Singapore, the fate of the Chinese, especially bananas, is dire.  Singapore is the only peaceful oasis for the overseas Chinese in South East Asia, to be able to live freely and to excel in whatever they want to do, to be the best they can be, without being oppressed or threatened. This is not a luxury, not just a racist and selfish recipe, but a matter of survival. This is something that the Chinese majority cannot be unthinkingly generous with, and willingly surrender it and think life would still be beautiful and everything will be the same.

Throughout the history of Chinese migration after China was invaded by the conquering westerners, overseas Chinese have been persecuted, victimised, discriminated oppressed, suppressed and even massacred by the natives everywhere, and the whites in the USA, Australia and New Zealand. The Chinese diaspora left a poverty stricken China caused by the invasion and exploitation of the whites only to fall victims to the whites in countries the whites stole from the natives.

In the USA, after helping to build the east west railway, the Chinese were persecuted, oppressed and racially discriminated by the whites. There was the 1875 Page Act that forbid Chinese women migrating to the USA despite the thousands of male Chinese railway workers there. Then there was the Chinese Exclusion Act 1882 to prohibit Chinese migration to the USA, followed by racial persecution, beating, torturing, murdering and driving out the Chinese from America. And there was the hate Chinese witch hunt of McCarthyism.  

The whites in Australia and New Zealand were equally harsh on the Chinese with their discriminating and oppressive laws against the Chinese goldmine workers and erecting the bogey man of the Yellow Peril to oppress and persecute the Chinese.

In the Philippines Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia, Chinese were massacred from as early as the 1600s to 1998 in Indonesia. Thousands of Chinese were also forced out of India after the humiliating Sino Indian Border War. A weak China was not there to help and protect the Chinese diaspora. Today, a strong China has change the status quo to some extent, only for as long as China remains strong and willing to step in to protect the Chinese from being massacred again.

The history of the Chinese diaspora in South East Asia has been a painful history of racial discrimination, persecution and killings by the natives. Even in Chinese majority Singapore the Chinese were not spared, only to a lesser degree. Only with the consolidation of power by the Chinese majority that the Chinese in Singapore could live life with some security and dignity and without fear. This state of affair in Singapore cannot be taken for granted as losing this majority, the future and fate of the Chinese in Singapore could be just like the Chinese in other parts of South East Asia. 

This selfish interest of the Chinese to maintain its majority status cannot be dismissed callously as it is a matter of life and death to the Chinese community. Only in Chinese majority Singapore can the Chinese sleep in peace that they would not be racially discriminated, persecuted and killed because they are Chinese. The Chinese in Singapore must not be so silly to lose this majority status. Losing this would mean losing an oasis of peace for the Chinese diaspora in South East Asia. The Chinese majority can be very kind and magnanimous to the minorities, but they cannot expect this to be reciprocated if they lose their majority status in Singapore. For losing Singapore, the Chinese have really no where else to go outside Greater China where they can live life to the fullest, to be able to excel in whatever they do without any inhibition, restriction or oppression. Only when you have a confident Chinese majority can you talk about meritocracy, where the best could be selected to be the best in their fields. Without a Chinese majority you think others would be talking about meritocracy and allow meritocracy to be practised in Singapore? Look around the region and the world and ask which country is practising meritocracy? Even in Singapore, the Singaporean PMETs are losing out, sacked, not because of meritocracy but clans men and villagers of the same kind. The daft Chinese Singaporeans talking about meritocracy would not stand a chance in the real world.

Just open your eyes and look at the fate of Chinese in the neighbouring countries and ask yourself is that what you want. Do not take your security and freedom to live as a human bean in a Chinese majority Singapore for granted. Losing this majority status in Singapore is to lose everything for the Chinese community here. Do not wait for the day when you have to beg for mercy from another majority to wake up your sense of stupidity. A Chinese majority Singapore is crucial to the well being of the Chinese community here and in the region. Once lost, you will never get it back and will forever be at the mercy of other races. Do not gamble with this state of affair and think it is ok to lose the majority status and all would be well, and practise meritocracy blindly. There is no option if the Chinese diaspora is to live well, with dignity and prosperity in South East Asia. A Chinese majority in Singapore is not negotiable and cannot be compromised. It is the last piece of rock to stand on before slipping into a stormy sea of no returns. This is a cruel and difficult world, not a bed of roses that you can live in pleasant dreams and fictions of fairy tales, thinking that others would also be kind to you.

PS.  Some fools in Singapore think that meritocracy will continue even if Singapore loses its Chinese majority and life will still be as per normal. This is flirting with self destruction and disaster.

Covid19 - Are foreign dormitory workers no longer infectious after being cured and cleared of Covid19?

 

SINGAPORE: Authorities are monitoring migrant worker dormitories to manage the risk of new COVID-19 outbreaks, even after the completion of testing for all these workers.

"There have already been instances where new cases of COVID-19 cases are detected at previously cleared dormitories," said a joint news release on Tuesday (Aug 11) by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), the Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Health Promotion Board (HPB).

"The Interagency Task Force (ITF) is actively monitoring the dormitories to manage the risk of new outbreaks."....

1. At higher risk dormitories, wastewater will be monitored for traces of the coronavirus....

2. In a separate statement later on Tuesday, MOM said that all dormitories have been declared cleared of COVID-19, with the exception of 17 standalone blocks in purpose-built dormitories that are being used as quarantine facilities.

This means that all workers living in dormitories have either recovered or have been tested to be free from the virus, except for 22,500 workers still serving out their quarantine period, said MOM....

3.  "With the completion of dormitory clearance, and BCA giving permission for all construction firms to resume work from Aug 10, the majority of foreign workers (including dormitory residents) are now able to resume work," the labour ministry added.

 

Above is from CNA. There are several points of concern now that they knew that new cases can still be detected from dormitories that have been cleared of Covid19. And from all sources of information, people who have been infected and cured could be reinfected again and also could be harbouring the virus that can then spread to new contacts while they appeared to be asymptomatic.

Read point 1 above, waste water could have traces of coronavirus.  Where did the waste water go to? Think what Newater is all about.

When they said dormitories are declared clear does it mean that the people in these dormitories would no longer infect others and can be let out?

And the third point, can resume work in the construction site. Would they be allowed to move out from construction sites, to eat or to socialise?

The big question, how safe are the foreign dormitory workers that have been cleared from Covid19 and would they be allowed to mix freely with the rest of the population? And what are they going to prevent the waste water from getting into our drinking system? 

Today's news reported there would be a trial period for some of the workers to visit recreation centres, do some errants and buying food. Hope they start these cautiously and monitor them carefully as the risk of reinfection and being asymptomatic carriers is very high. If only 5 or 10% of the foreign dormitory workers are infectious out of 350,000, we are risking for a big surge in infected cases.

What's wrong with leadership and management in Singapore?

Now, Keppel Corp too is going under.

Temasek has evoked a clause in the offer made in Nov 2019, before COVID-19 Pandemic came about, and just chicken out of her offer to purchase up to 51% controlling shares, because of Keppel's heavy losses in recent time (mainly due to the Global COVID-19 Pandemic).

What next for Keppel Corp? Sell to French consortium again? Or rename Keppel Corp to Keppel Corpse?

If anyone were to examine the Board Of Directors and the Management Team of Singapore's big business entities, you will generally find four things in common:

1. Appointing scholars and academics to run the organisation, perhaps thinking that they are God-sent to Singapore: The Jacks of All Trades (but Masters of None, except MBA).

2. Appointing people with no experienced, or experience in the wrong fields, to helm the organisation. Oh, yes, credentials are aplenty of course, and probably also smooth or impressive talkers also? Or could they have been pulled into the organisation by long and strong ropes (not strings, which are not too strong).

3. Appointing foreigners to seat in important positions of influence, instead of as advisers or consultants. Thereby, allowing them to have full control of manpower or financial decisions that affect organisational resources and performance.

4. Old dogs cannot learn new tricks is a truism. Not just an old saying. Allowing a person to stay far too long in an organisation where he/she has become too big to be moved, replaced or sacked. In other words, he/she has made himself/herself an Empire that he/she has become the Only Indispensable Emperor or Empress Dowager. This is does not only gives a bad image to that organisation but is also bad for business, new ideas and progress in leadership renewal. Most crucially is that losses are easily and usually covered and manipulated until the organisation goes under or go bust, until it is too late and become too big to allow it to fail. So, ultimately taxpayers' money becomes a very expedient but expensive commodity to save the day.


The same glaring problems can also be found in the leadership and management of the various government organisations and agencies. That's why transparency and accountability have become such a huge issue. Plus all the ridiculous cloaks and daggers to maintain absolute secrecy about someone's remuneration and bonuses, that cannot meet scrutiny and sunlight!

While real gold is not afraid of fire, paper cannot cover that fire. One day, in the not too distant future a new government is going to run the country and the truth must be revealed at all costs. No stones should be left unturned. Justice must prevail over Cunningham!

We may not live to see that day. But our future generations will.

Maybe I have spoken too fast? Not thinking deep enough?

That's why I say that the Fair Consideration Framework is not fair, and does not work, but only a frame with no human face. It is just a frame up.

CECA Indians have been deliberately exempted by the FCF (which can also be the initials for "First Cover-my-ass First"?). Look into that document (or toilet papers) carefully.

That is the reason why it is not fair to other foreign companies, especially those from China and Taiwan.
