Dimwit Trump thinks he can win a guerilla war in Iran

Iran, Afghanistan and what we have already seen in Vietnam, are not pieces of cake to conquer for the USA. The USA can try, but the result will be similar. Guerilla warfare is the bane of the USA military, and it has plenty of experience to show. The thought of getting involved in another guerilla war in Yemen against the Houthis scared the USA shitless thinking about putting boots on the ground.

Trump can try his luck in Afghanistan for a second bite of the cherry, gloating about taking back the Bagram Base, actually built by the Soviets not the USA, and serving as USA main military base during the Afghan/USA war. Trump even demanded that the Taliban give those weapons seized and reconditioned by them to be given back to the USA and say thank you to him, lol. He is highly delusional.

Afghanistan is in the process of rapid development, quietly and discreetly, with the Chinese promoting investments and opening up the Wakhan Corridor between China and Afghanistan for enhanced bilateral trade. Afghanistan could be the best developed country in time to come. The Taliban are looking to follow the Chinese development strategy, knowing how successful it was.

Trump may attack Iran and maybe extract a temporary hollow victory for his ego boosting purpose, but taking control and ruling the country is out of the question. Iran is a vast country, much bigger than Afghanistan, already the graveyard of empires. The USA tried to control Afghanistan, spending US$2.261 trillion overall, including caring for veterans suffering the after-effects. What has the USA achieved from all that?

How much more is the USA prepared for another similar adventure in Iran when it is in financial distress. Moreover, how much collateral damage will the Arab allies of the USA suffer when their export of oil is being curtailed. No such collateral damage was suffered by the Arabs during the USA/Afghanistan War, so figure out the consequences.
