Amos Yee – Rebel with a Cause

Amos Yee accused Vincent Law, his kind bailer, of molest. Ooooooh, how could this ingrate do such a thing? Condemn, condemn. He is insane, hopeless. He deserves no pity or kindness from anyone.

Hold your horses man, stop being so judgemental with every bit of news or rumours or hearsays. You are supposed to be a mature and thinking adult, isn’t it? Does anyone think that it is better to hear the full story before jumping to conclusion? Vincent Law ‘molests’ Amos Yee, so claimed the kid.  Now I have put the word ‘molest’ in inverted commas. This is like someone saying ‘I screwed him’ or ‘I fired him’ when the meaning of screw and fire did not take on the literal meaning of the words.

Amos promised to reply on his accusation of ‘molest’ by Vincent Law. This is the first few paras of his pretty long and intellectual discourse. If one is not mentally up to it, please give it a miss. It is not meant for people with IQs of two digits. : )

The Molestation Of Vincent Law

I should issue a sincere apology to Vincent Law? Hahahahaha.
It once again is alarmingly indicative of the inherent stupidity of our species to immediately formulate a stance, with a complete lack of evidence, and say it with such conviction. That is of course the mindset inherent in that of religion. I’m still really skeptical of my Christian fans by the way, you’re supposed to damn me (Mark 3:29) yet you hold me a vigil.
Now the preconceived notion portrayed on the media towards Vincent is simply that he put himself in the line of fire, he assisted me by putting up $20000, and allowed a rebellious 17-year-old boy to be able to come out of prison, and attain his freedom. He is a generous, kind-hearted Christian, caring and with lots of love.

So now, when I made allegations that he molested me, people would then start blaming me. This person helped you Amos, he risked his reputation and his own money for you, and yet you accuse him of molestation….

Now you got the gist of it. So, before any ‘mature’ and ‘thinking’ adult starts to think and act silly, please read Amos piece in full at   https://amosyee.wordpress.com/2015/05/15/the-molestation-of-vincent-law/
before jumping to conclusions and look silly again. You be the judge after reading what Amos has written.

Amos is a refreshing voice in a time when hypocrisy rules the day. This 16 going 17 kid is a genius in his own right, love him or hate him, up to you.  He is no ordinary kid and would put many adults who are so full of themselves looking like children in his presence.  Amos is shredding everything that appears right, looks right, to pieces and making many people not only red in their faces but dunno where to hide their faces.

Amen. May the force be with Amos.

I think Vincent Law must have lots of regrets now for being involved in bailing Amos. Or maybe not, if there is more to it than meets the eye.

And I believe the whole Amos case, including the public recorded slapping of Amos, has a lot more to it than meets the eye.

That's why those critics and commentators of the Amos case are like the proverbial story of the 7 blind men touching different parts of the elephant, and each drawing different conclusions because they are unable to see the whole elephant.

If what Amos said of Vincent Law is true, parents must be very careful before sending their child for counselling. Check and double check their credibility, their characters, are they some misfits or sadists or what else.

A person putting on a robe is not what the robe said he is, be it a doctor, a priest, a policeman or whatever.

Has Amos been abused and bullied by Vincent? What is the intent of Vincent, his background, where is he from? Anyone know who he is?

When Law is not Law. There are too many deceptions in this Amos case. It has turned out to be The Rape of a Boy.

I believe VL is a good person. He was doing what he believed is the right thing to do. Preach his faith. His mistake is to threaten the kid so many times, to withdraw bail.

Amos, you "daft" boy.
Yew should be ashamed of yourself.
"We are on your side."
"Repent".
You are "ungrateful".

The angst of Amos reminds me of the angst of Singaporeans.
The PAPigs say 6.9 million is good for us.
The PAPigs say Aliens create good jobs for Singaporeans.
And the 60% say yes ... but they don't really check up on the PAP before voting do they?
Just like maybe nobody check up on Amos Yee to ask how he was getting on with Vincent?

Amos Yee: from hero to zero

And yes amos yee is an attention seeking ingrate simple as that. What next? Will he laugh at people who had initially donated to his legal fees?

The Amos Yee saga.
This is the essence of democracy and free speech.
It's messy and confusing ... so yes, we have to be "adaptable".
(I wonder if PAP is capable of being adaptable to this level of free speech and democracy?)

And yes, with great freedom comes great responsibility.
To use our brains, judgement, energy and courage.
To think independently and critically.
Instead of just reading and regurgitating "The Hard Truths".
Think.
Don't just say "I don't know what to say."
If you don't know what to say or think ... please just get the fuck out of the way.

It's a parents' job to be an expert on their own child.
The job cannot be outsourced to a counsellor, church, school or any government.
We need the help of these external organizations to help us guide our children.
But it's still the parents' job to check up on them to make sure they are compatible with our kids' temperament.

No matter how incompetent you think you are as a parent.
The child needs to know you love him and that you are on his side.

The word "molest" has many different meanings in the Queen's English.
Unfortunately in Singapore, we use a mixture of Singlish and the Queen's English.
And the Singaporeans' level of intellectual maturity has been dumbed down over the years to the same level as the average PAPig grassloot goon.

It has never been right to equate a preacher to that of a god deemed perfect by imagination.
Preacher and evangelist are by nature harasser and molester of others' faith. Just remember that they are humans prone to er like any others. They will invariably become dirt and dust like every being.

Why are preacher and counsellor view as sane or even perfect?

WOW! What a classic: Christian psychologically ravages an atheist!

I'll bet most Christians reading Amos's recounting of the Vincent Incidents, would get huge erections . They just cunt help themselves. The all harbour twisted secret desires to "teach those foul mouthed atheists a lesson!"

What would Jesus do? Probably the same thing---be a DICK! 😝

@ hero-worshipping, RB:

>> mos is a refreshing voice in a time when hypocrisy rules the day

Well, he did start out that way, but this latest post....not the "best choice" lah. In fact, it's already backfiring on Amos.

Certain words have a lot of "negative power", especially words which relate to child molestation and rape, and pedophilia. Even if they are introduced as METAPHORS, they are so negatively powerful that in whatever context they are used, they will "taint" the discussion, and you'll never get fair and reasonable arguments from then on.

Subliminally, most of us will "connect" the idea of pedophilia with the Christian Church, as that integrated idea has facts and evidence to support it.

So what Amos has written is a very psychologically powerful piece which is "highly charged" and therefore bound to be divisive.

Bad choice or not, it's all good. Amos is a young, very smart, writer and has a panache for a comedic view of the world and Singapore society in particular, adding his own particular "kick in the balls" to an already, in many ways, twisted world filled with crazy people....and as a young writer, he must "explore" these ideas and dig deep, hopefully motivating the readers to dig deep for themselves.

So IMO, leave this brilliant kid alone to explore his ideas, and shine the light on the insane and stupid aspects of society, and the protagonists of such human comedy.

Amos Yee is creating ENTERTAINMENT. For the masses. He is the enfant terrible of the nascent Singapore underground "scene". (What? Don't have underground scene? Then you better start one!). I'm hoping more young people take Amos's lead and start ridiculing authority. You have to PRACTICE to become even reasonably good at something.

So start!

The word "molest" has a few meanings. People with dirty mind will immediately jump to

the image of sex and sexual harassment.

Thinking adults should not fall prey to their own tricky mind with habitual tendency to

only grasp the commonly used meaning.

Educated people should be fully aware that "molest" can also mean disturb, irritate,

annoy, harass, making things difficult for somebody, etc.

So, instead of trying to teach Amos a lesson, you nincompoops had better wake up your

bloody ideas and turn around and start to LEARN FROM AMOS, OUR LITTLE GENIUS

WHO HAPPEN TO APPEAR ONCE IN ONLY 50 YEARS.

NOW THAT YOUR DEMI-GOD IS DEAD, WHY DON'T YOU START TO ADOPT AMOS

AS YOUR NEXT LIVING GOD?

More relevant in Singapore is "Beware of PAPigs giving out subsidies especially just before General Elections."
- give you drumstick now. Later on they will confiscate your entire chicken farm.

Read Amos article. For a 16 years old he writes very well better than journalist! Unfortunately he was born in the wrong country.

Matilar for insulting Christians should be arrested. I hope some Christian will lodge a police report

No. Amos Yee is not born in the wrong country.
It's the PAPigs that are born in the wrong country.
PAPigs belong in North Korea whose culture is more compatible with PAPigs.

everyday, there are many insults going on. the police should not be made to catch people just because someone insults someone. it should be used for greater things - catching murderers, rapists, druglords etc. trivia matters should just leave it to the mayor or mps or grassroots to handle.
